Here I am, never have gotten waxing before, kind of scared (that I popped an advil before going) Selah Skin center was very pleasant over the phone so I was at ease. And here I was, on a friday afternoon, walking into the place - and was greeted with a very pleasant atmosphere! The facility is clean and nice. One of the staff offered me water and led me to a waiting place. Even though I was scared, the staff that did my bikini wax was very pleasant! She seemed very professional, talked to me during the waxing which helped with the pain, and offered me helpful advice on how to maintain it and when to come back. 10/10 would recommend especially for your first time. If you check in on yelp, you also get a free little sample. The service was only $40, which was the best price around the area from my research. Returning soon! read more

This was my first time at this spa, as I've recently moved to the area, but it won't be my last. I love how bright the place was, while still keeping with a calming, peaceful atmosphere. I went in for a Brazilian wax with Sarah. She was very friendly, but not chatty to the point where it took away any relaxation. She's been there for years, which showed. I think it went by faster than any other time I've been waxed at other establishments. And I looked so clean afterwards! I'm used to some strays that just can't get picked up, but I left looking just how I wanted. read more

I highly recommend this place. I'm from out of state but when I'm in PA I will definitely come back here. From the consultation with Hollybeth to my peel with Sarah everything was top notch. Hollybeth really took the time to explain what was going on with my skin and how I can try to repair it. I never felt pressured to buy anything either. Sarah was very thorough with my POWER PEEL (MICRODERMABRASION) w/ FACIAL. It was my first microdermabrasion and Sarah was perfect. She's very friendly and nice. I've been getting facials here since I was a teenager who used to have awful acne-prone skin. I have had positive experiences with all of the staff, especially Holly Beth who normally takes care of me. She is really personable and makes you feel at ease. Along with that, she is very good at explaining the range of products she uses and what she's doing. The products they use are very nice and work on a variety of skin types. She works with your individual needs, i.e. allergies, and if your pain tolerance is low she is gentle and makes you comfortable. I used to have a horrible pain tolerance and sensitive skin when I was a teenager and she always accounted for that during extractions. I was very excited to find such a highly recommended place to get my eyelash extensions done in this area since I am from out of town, but was rubbed the wrong way upon leaving after my appointment. I forget her name but she was very accommodating with my limited schedule in fitting me in, but it's only been 2 weeks to the day and almost all of my eyelashes came off on one eye and the other eye is not far behind it. I've been getting eyelash extensions for years and have been to dozens of salons since I'm always on the road for work, and I should have trusted my gut when i had a few red flags before she actually started applying my lashes. The room was cluttered and the table was basically on top of the waxing station which was disgusting not only to look at but god forbid use, there was wax all on the outside of the supplies and up the wall, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. So I double checked the supplies she was using on me, which looked clean, but she didn't even ask me what length or style I wanted before starting?! Every stylist has their routine so I waited to see if she would ask and never did! I had to stop her and tell her. Then as I was paying she told me I'll be seeing some eyelashes fall out in clusters because she applied a few cluster lashes along with individuals "because she could." I don't like cluster lashes and they don't stay on my eyelashes?!!! I did NOT like how she took it upon herself to decide what she was going to be doing to me and not to mention it was extremely expensive. I'm highly disappointed considering it's only been two weeks and if I had known she was going to do what she felt like without consulting with me first, I would have stopped her and told her what my preference was. Not good salon salon etiquette AT ALL. Since I'm in the area longer than expected for work I was excited to go back to the same place for a refill but now I definitely won't. read more
