The lady I got was very nice and although was busy with calls, she was particular and picked up right where she left off without mistakes. They were very clean in wearing 2 masks and washing hands throughout the whole process. They had separated our chairs and had the shields up as well. The lady I had for my pedicure also was nice and understanding about my ticklish areas! They did a quick and good job on my eyebrow clean up as it has been months! After we left, someone in our group informed us they were loudly talking and saying we had no appointment so she informed them that we in fact did have an appointment and then they apologized. I have been a customer here for several years. My overall experience here is great. That is not to say that I have had times when I did not have an appointment and has to wait. I know that nail salons, in general try to pride themselves on getting people in and out. As a walk-in establishment, you are not always guaranteed to be seen right away. I called to see if I could get an appointment and right away the man who answered the phone was incredibly rude. He sounded like he couldn't be bothered to check if there was anything available. He was then very unprofessional as he had a completely separate conversation while I was still on the line, without even asking me to hold while he checked their availability. After 5 minutes of that he came back to me and told me he didn't have anything available, then was very unhelpful saying they have appointments at "noon or three or something." They do get the job done with very reasonable prices, but they aren't the friendliest and don't really care to make sure you get exactly what you want so just be sure to specifically tell them everything you want right away. They actually cut my daughters ankle during her pedicure and didn't even exfoliate our heels. The manicurist I had actually used the electric file too long on my fingernails and it was very painful. Holly did a fast and good job on my gel manicure. Ask their names because they wear each other's smocks! They were too packed on a Tuesday at 11am for my pedicure, but I walked right in and got my manicure on a Thursday at 3pm. This is in the summer so things may vary year round. I read several reviews online about Hershey Nails and was excited that Hershey Nails promised to perform all of the services I needed--pink and whites, pedicure, bikini wax, and eyebrows. I was pleased that when I called that told me to come over right away. That's where the pleasure stopped. My technician was rude and acted as if my being there was an imposition for her. She chopped my nails, and the pink and whites were so poorly done that the cuticle area caught on my clothing within a day. The thumbnail lifted off within two days! She always chopped my nails shorter than I like them, but I could have lived with all of these if the pink and whites had held up. After my pedicure, where I sat under the dryer forever, and I had to ask if I was done, I was never asked about the other services I had requested so I left. I get all of these services all the time in my hometown, so I know that I had not asked for the world. I would NEVER recommend Hershey Nails for any service. read more

I used to go here in high school because it was a decent place with decent prices, but I only ever got a basic manicure with normal nail polish (no gel or dip). They weren't your stereotypical salon with chatter an bonding, as the employees seem to just be going through the motions of working and watch TV while they do your pedicure. However, one day I got a pedicure there and got a nasty infection on my toe. I figured it could have been anything, so I didn't think too much of it. However, upon using more of their services, I saw that they have a HUGE hygiene problem. I would get my underarms waxed at Hershey Nails and started to notice that they would constantly double dip the stick they used in the warmed wax (think of how many people's samples went back into that wax), use the same side of the wax paper repeatedly (as in, the hairs that were pulled out went right back on my skin) and it was decently unnerving. My sister had a similar experience when she went to wax her legs there. Same issue with the double dipping, but for any hairs that they missed, they pulled out this old straight-razor to finish off her legs, which they actually scratched raw, leaving red marks and scabs on it. I wish I thought to write this review sooner and had a picture. I thought maybe she was exaggerating, and went for a bikini wax, against my better judgement. I got the exact same straight razor experience and was less than pleased at the three women needed to give me a bikini wax. Back to nail services, my mom presently goes here for dip powder nails and seems pleased with it. She gets just a nude color on her natural nails to help them grow and the powder lasts her 3-4 weeks. They do use a nail file drill for dip powder and normal nail polish, if that bothers you. Overall, it's not a bad place for a basic manicure for prom or homecoming. It wont last, but most nail polishes don't. However, beware of their other services. I am amazed that they have not yet been shut down due to hygienic violations and refuse to go back there. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The person doing my manicure was awful. She was unprofessional and extremely RUDE. I asked for a basic manicure which, when finished, looked really bad. When I asked her to fix the imperfections, she sighed loudly and turned to her co-worker with a look of disgust. After her attempt to fix the problems, my nails looked worse than they first did. I nicely informed her of the problems and asked to her to please fix it. SHE SAID NO, GOT UP AND WALKED OUT OF THE SALON. NEVER, NEVER go to this salon. They force you to pay before they do your nails, and then refuse to fix any issues you may have. I walked out of this place with nails that looked like a 2 year old did them. But the rudeness was what really infuriated me. I have never been treated by any place of business the way I was treated here. MEAN, RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL......and you could tell the workers were talking about their customers to each other in a derogatory manner. Actually the worst pedicure of my life! It was painful like torture! I asked for cold water but in the basin and the woman kept trying to force my feet into the VERY hot water she had already filled the tub with! She was actually pushing down on my feet as I was clearly resisting! Then she tried to sell me the "deluxe" pedicure and I said I just wanted the regular one so she mumbled something in another language and rolled her eyes. Because I didn't upgrade I felt like she was purposely hurting me! My cuticles were bleeding from how low she was cutting them and she used the pumice stone for so long that my skin still hurts! They use very cheap polish so I will be shocked if this actually lasts more than 48 hours. I live in the area and will never go back! read more

I have been a customer at this salon for over a year. I have been frequenting nail salons for well over 15 years and up until tonight, I absolutely loved this salon. I guess you could say that one bad experience in over a year isn't so bad but the truth of the matter is the owners lack of consideration for my experience is what has sparked my review. My daughter and I went to the salon to get our nails painted. I have acrylic nails and she gets her nails gel painted or" shellaced." I know that a typical visit usually costs me about $50 for the two of us & that is what I was prepared to pay. At the end of the visit, when I was informed my total was 76$.. I was shocked. When I asked them to explain why my total was so much, I was quoted prices for services I did not ask for. The female owner started speaking to her employees in their native tongue & when I asked her to stop and speak to me in English, she rolled her eyes & continued speaking to her employees. I was charged for a shellac manicure when I only asked for a shellac polish change. I was charged for a "design" when all my daughter received was two different colors on one nail, not a detailed design. When I told them that I did not request a manicure for my daughter I was told that my daughter (she's 11) was the customer and that she asked for the manicure. This, of course, was not the case. I could go on about the way I was treated and the way I was spoken to but I think anyone reading this can understand the situation. Never at any point during our discussion was I offered an apology or any kind of compensation. I expressed to the male owner, once he stepped in, how thoroughly disappointed I was and that although I have been a customer for over a year, I will never come back to their establishment again. Unfortunately, neither one of the owners seemed to care. Customers at nail salons are a dime a dozen. I'm sure my $50 every two weeks will not make them or break them but I can assure you that from this point moving forward I will let everyone I know about my experience at Hershey Nails & I will be sure to recommend they go to a different salon. read more

Cheap gel used but they charge for premium gel. I have been in the beauty business for over 15yrs and have had gel nails for at least half that time and they are not suppose to grab color. My pink and white went to beige. They refused a refund. Wanted to redo with "powdered gel" lol, there is NO such thing. Stay away from these people! read more

Not a good manicure and certainly not worth the money. My nails are so short they hurt (I asked for my nails to be kept long). My cuticle was cut and bled. Had to scrub in case of infection. Had to tip two people because two people did the manicure. One didn't say thank you. Went across the street to evolve to get them fixed. Evolve is fabulous!
