I've had my nails done here three times by different techs. The gel manicures last longer than others I've had, and I'm pretty hard on my nails. Techs aren't chatty, which I prefer. One tech did a nice massage after, one did nothing, and one applied oil and did minimal massage.This one's my go to. read more

They did a poor job cleaning around my nails. They never touched my cuticles. I left with a air bubble on the side of my left thumb which ended up chipping two days later and my other thumb nail broke. When I returned to them to get it fixed they started to work on it. However 3 people came in and the lady made me wait for about 30 min before fixing my nails. Horrible service and quality! I will never return nor recommend to anyone. read more

I can't believe what happened to me today! I want to share my experience, that people know where they go. I am a single mother, my son is 3 years old and I don't have any family in this area. So, whatever I go my son is with me. Today i decided to go with him and do my nails. I put for the baby cartoons on my phone to hold him busy. At some point one vitnamese lady tell my son to shut up because bother the customer. I couldn't belive. The baby was giggle, not crying, în the salon they was another 3 lady. Was a very bad experience, she told me that I am not allowed to come with the baby, disrespect my son, and of course that I difend my son. He didn't do nothing wrong. I can't believe that a woman in 2024 can be so mind limited! I am very angry and disappointed. read more

I have been faithfully having my nails done at BQ since 2007. The last 3 times I have left disappointed or bleeding. I have had the same young lady do my nails the last 4 visits. She acts as if she doesn't remember me , which could be the case She never asks if I would like my nails cut down she just cuts. Never asks what shape I would like. We sit in silence which is fine but please don't be offended when I speak up about my disappointment. I always tip more than 20%. The final straw was when she filed my nails so short into the coffin shape. I walked in with rounded nails and walked out with pointy stubs. No more. Time to explore other options read more

When the girls at work cautioned me about BQ Nails I wasn't sure where else I could squeeze a mani and pedi in between 10 and 12 and still get to work on time - so I decided to see for myself. I made an appointment Friday night for Saturday morning and I was set. . . I hoped. I tried not to let my co-workers' opinions of the salon make me nervous, and i put my head back and relaxed as magic was worked upon my oh-so-stressed out feet. Pedicure? Amazing! They were so attentive to detail and made my feet feel like a baby's ass! So maybe the girls were talking about the manicures... Granted - she was a little rough - my nails came out fantastic and 1 1/2 weeks post fill - they're still strong. Plus, all the girls who work there are super friendly! read more

This was my first mani pedi ever, but the woman that brought me drives the 25 minutes to Hershey instead of staying in Harrisburg because it's apparently that much better than everywhere else. I don't know about anyone else, but I love a good leg/foot rubbing. They have a 4 part treatment and massage chairs, and I never wanted it to end. The staff was super friendly. My manicure was a little terrifying (but remember, it was my first one), because it did seem a little rough, but that may be because I have short nails and have never done anything with cuticles before. They came out a little sore. But my nails came out great! They had a great selection of color, and also had nice programming on for drying time. Woo. Quality of service has gone way down in the two years since I've been patronizing this place. The last straw was yesterday. I know it was a busy Saturday, but there's no excuse for being rude and unsanitary. The ladies allowed several people to be served ahead of me because only one person was doing color changes. This is the first time that has happened to me, but the ladies have been getting shorter in their tone and more rude in their comments of late. Once it was my turn, the nail tech didn't even bother to straighten and clean the station! Trash (including wadded gum) and dirty towels were everywhere. When I asked her very politely to please clean up the trash, she grabbed the gum and huffed at me--like that was supposed to be OK! I have tried to stick it out with this place because I live so close by, but I will have to treat it just like I do the below-par cleaners and yucky Asian buffet that are right next door to BQ--ignore it and go somewhere else. read more

The quality of service provided at BQ nails is quite frankly, terrible. My mom and I used to come here often, but I just visited on New Years Day for a manicure and it was terrible. They rush you through picking a color and through the entire service and I had to come home and re-file all of my nails because she did not even shape them nicely. Also, the paint job looks like I did it myself (messy on the edges). Definitely DO NOT come here, I would recommend Princess Nails off of Jonestown Road in Harrisburg, I recently went there and they provided much better service. read more

I go once a month for pedicures and always request "Bonnie". I call ahead to make my appointment. Bonnie is the only one there that I trust to do a quality pedicure. She really spends time on the leg/foot massage part and really uses the right amount of pressure (many of the other girls in there are kind of weak when it comes to this aspect). read more

I really do not recommend this place at all. The boss is a nasty lady who is not friendly at all. The nail polish last you 3 days. On my second trip i got a gel mani and i got air bubbles underneath the nail polish and the gel mani cheaped off with in 3 days. Have tried this place several times and always was pleased until recently. The last two visits I left disappointed. I only went back this last time because I thought maybe it was just an off night when I was there. Same thing happened to me again, rushed through the pedicure, spent very little time on my cuticles and the heels of my feet, which I had asked to make smooth. Then she only applied one coat. I asked her to please put a second coat on and she insisted she had, which she definitely hadn't because I was watching because that is what happened last time I was there. I am disappointed and mad at myself for going back and spending another $25. I will not go back. read more

Don't waste your time getting services here. The services are done poorly and they don't last. And those providing the services will not back up their work. Too many other wonderful places to go for a mani and pedi and many are less expensive, take pride in their work and make sure you leave as a happy customer. read more

I found the attitudes of the staff to be dismissive and short. Sadly, I would use the same adjectives for the pedicure itself too. Basic elements of the service were ignored or glossed over, and when I asked for these things to be done more carefully, I was bluntly told no. Can't recommend this place. read more

I have been trying different nail salons in the area over the past few months as I have just moved to the area. I initially went to get a pedicure and after speaking with the technician decided to get the build a gel nails. I had acrylic on (which I hate!!) and wanted it removed because for some reason there is a misconception that gel nails are acrylic with a gel coating. No, I'm not paying gel nail prices for a gel top coat. What I am used to is where they literally build your entire nail using a UV gel. No powder is used at all during this process. Anyway, the technician then proceeded to question me literally 12 different times on what a wanted. Repeatedly clarifying if I wanted UV gel, why I didn't like acrylics and if I was aware they would be more expensive. Over and over and over again. I am usually extremely patient as I am in the hospitality industry but this constant questioning worked on my last nerve. Finally, I just told her I don't want anything just paint my nails and nothing more. She then continued to ask me about those god forsaken gel nails! Then literally said to me, "you told me you wanted gel nails and now you want nothing?" Completely unprofessional. When she had me wash my hands she walked over to the other technicians, said something in her native tongue and they all turned and stared at me and rolled their eyes. Really?! I will never go back.
