I loved being able to just sit back and unwind while she took care of everything. She finished by blow-drying my hair, and I loved how it turned out! I went to this spa to try out a scalp and head massage. I was gifted the serenity retreat package…read moreand enjoyed the experience, but was a bit underwhelmed with parts of it. The total package cost about $230 for a 2 hour session that included head, neck, scalp massage, hand massage, dry brush and shampoo, and gua sha face sculpting. It also included a sound bath and Chakra realignment as advertised in the package. Every portion lasted about 2 to 3 minutes, so just when you were becoming relaxed, she'd start a new piece of the package. As its in a salon, it was pretty noisy hearing the staff speaking with each other and alot of noise from the dishes being used. I appreciated Mimi's customer service, but thought it was a bit lacking on a gentle touch. When she would move my head to rinse, it was an abrupt movement and basically pushed my head up to sit up rather than just guiding me. The massages were more like light rubs and again, only lasted about 2 to 3 minutes. The hot stone rub lasted about 2 minutes. The sound bath lasted 3 minutes and I dont even know if she realigned my chakras. I felt as though there was too much involved in these packages to really help relieve stress or focus on one portion of the body. For the amount of money paid, I would have expected a bit more, but not a bad experience.

The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and condescending in her reply. If this is how they treat even a kind young person, they clearly have overall terrible customer service. The cocoa in the relaxation room really is some of the best I've ever had. My husband and I both…read morehad the Dark Chocolate Spa package with scrub, massage, and facial. The scrub was lack luster and I will not do it again. The dry brushing was less than comprehensive and the scrub itself was hardly exfoliating. I have had better scrubs with a nylon mit in Korean bath houses. Save yourself the mess and do your own in the tub or shower at home. The massage and facial were absolutely worth doing though. Next time we go, we will explore some other service to complete our spa day while keeping with the massage and facial. The shower in my room also dripped the entire time and made it very difficult to relax. Despite the technician acknowledging this, no apology or compensation was attempted. I was rather off put by that. I was very relieved that my facial occurred in a separate room after the scrub and massage were infringed upon by the incessant dripping.

I booked my appointment with Michelle T. and could not have been more pleased! She not only accommodated my request of only clean natural products be used but also took note not to diffuse anything containing orange's as im allergic. It may not look like much from the outside, but I LOVE Hygea Wellness! I initially came with…read more Groupon to try the sauna with a friend. Soon after I became a member and I love it! I selected the membership that allows me to bring a guest each time I come. The salt room is nice and relaxing. There are two saunas - a single person and one that is to be four, but I think comfortably fits two. Both saunas are infrared and have a number of colored light options that are focused on different things like skin health or calming. The ladies of Hygea (Mel and Mal!) are incredible. They are friendly, helpful and keep me coming back week after week. Hygea is a wonderful way to treat yourself or a loved one!

I also had a difficult time getting the chair to recline in the eighth position and kept worrying I was making too much noise with my adjustments. If you'd like to talk during your session you can, if you want silence that's cool too. The back facial is like a total revamp for your back, she uses scrub as if you were getting an actual facial. The ambiance was very relaxing, bed was heated, and honestly my back has never been smoother. If you feel like your back is oily, you have lots of dry skin, or you struggle with backne this could be something you want to look into. When we were finished Tamia gave me time to get dressed and get myself together. (You're so relaxed you need a moment to get yourself off the table) It was a great experience, glad we used the Groupon first to see if we would or wouldn't like it. Definitely a plus for the both of us and we can't wait to go back and try some other services.

Michelle was amazing, and did so much to my skin to make it look like my skin but better. My amazing daughter came along with me, and everyone greeted her and showed her to a place with a fireplace and couches. Michelle turned on the water heater for her, so she could make a warm mug of hot cocoa. When I was done with my facial and wax, my daughter commented on how I immediately look like I was glowing!
