It was my first time here. I needed to relax. I had an organic radiant facial and the traditional massage. Both wonderful. They have different rooms to relax in while waiting for your services. These rooms range in talking at any volume, a whisper room, and the silent room. You also have access to the gym, pool, and steam/sauna rooms all day. I had my massage first and chose the coconut scent and it was heavenly. I then waited and enjoyed Hershey's hot chocolate in the silent room for my facial. Again another great experience. After all these years, I am still coming to this spa. I have seen the expansion and some things I'm happy about and some things I'm not. Services: I had a body scrub, the tranquil one I believe and I had a massage. My services are always great when I come to the Hershey spa there's never been a disappointment. Offerings: they have relaxation room aromatherapy room and they have different waiting areas throughout where you can partake in the Hershey chocolate, hot chocolate, as well as muffins and fruit and water until you are called for your services. I love sitting out on the balcony and watching the view. It's especially wonderful to see during the spring time . If you haven't gone during the spring, I suggest that you do because you also have the Hershey Gardens nearby. I always built in the lunch, which is at the oasis. You just go down on the elevator while in your robe and enjoy a light lunch. I have to say I am disappointed in the selections of food. It was ok. They now offer a cocktails, which is great. Since the spa has expanded and a lot of people are enjoying spa days, it has now become a little too loud because there's so many people and they have taken out lounging chairs so they can expand the waiting area. You also can partake in the pool, gym or their sauna. they also offer shampoo Shower gel and all kinds of toiletries to use while you're at the spa. I was disappointed that they took out the pockets from the robes as nowadays everyone has their cell phone and cannot part with it so now you have to bring a wristlet or something to hold your phone But I kept trying to put my phone in a pocket that did not exist!!! lol! That was a little frustrating, but I know how to prepare going forward. I know I know why would you have your phone while you're at the spa you're supposed to be detaching from reality however You need to get content and pictures so although it was explained why they took the pockets out I'm going to bring my own Hershey spa robe that I have which has pockets! I need to preface this review by stating that I have little experience with spas. Prior to my time here at The Spa at Hotel Hershey, I had only been to one other and it was for salon services only. However, I was in Hershey for a bachelorette party weekend and the main activity planned was visiting the spa - so I needed to do a little research on what exactly this was all about. Prior to arriving, we made arrangements to book our services - which is pretty much required as we were told that booking filled up fast; I don't remember exactly when we booked but it was definitely several months in advance. Looking at the menu, they have a good amount of services available (some with chocolate theme because Hershey). I liked that they had a decent selection of mens services, and ultimately I decided to go with a facial. We were instructed to arrive to the spa 30 minutes prior to our appointments for check-in, so that's what we did. After that and a short wait, I was given a mini-tour of the facility while being escorted to the mens locker room. I was then escorted over to a room with other people while waiting to be called for my service. There are several rooms where you can wait, and after your service is completed you can hang out in them as well. My service was good, I never had a facial before so didn't really know what to expect - the esthetician was really friendly and did a great job. The service lasted an hour, and surprisingly they didn't push any product onto me at the end; that could be their MO, or it could be because I floored her when I went over my skincare routine. My group reconvened for lunch at the Oasis - this was fine. It was a buffet but kind of sparse; with the exception of the soup all the food was served cold. Kinda goes with the spa aesthetic but was nothing noteworthy in my opinion. I highly recommend having some of the complementary cocoa - it's some of the best I've ever had. The decor of the spa is dated - very early 2000s aesthetic, but it's kept up well. Also, it was crowded while we were there, so it may be a challenge to find the relaxation one is looking for if it's busy. Staff was excellent - everyone was really friendly and super helpful. First time at the Chocolate Spa. The facilities were very nice and comfortable. My favorite was the balcony connected to the main relaxation room and the sauna. The indoor pool is a bit dated. I expected an outdoor soaking tub or at least a soaking tub dedicated to spa customers. I would have also liked some more healthy snacks like nuts. Got the opportunity to visit the Hershey chocolate spa with a group of 9 women for a birthday celebration retreat with each guest to receive and pay for the spa services of their choice. I would say on average expect to spend over $ 200 minimal. Packages with several options were much more. I elected a service package to include a chocolate scrub, massage with chocolate oil and a chocolate bath. It's Hershey so why not? Upon entry, it was a bit busy and chaotic in the check in area with the blonde customer representative on the right side that Sunday being so very kind, patient, helpful and friendly to the guests she welcomed in her line. I unfortunately was in the other line on the left side with a frazzled, stressed, inpatient and non-welcoming brunette representative instead who was very, very short and possibly quite overwhelmed that day. I want to say she was the same frazzled representative I received when I called on the phone to reserve my services however; I'm not sure. The quality on the phone was the same. I signed a paper to confirm my services and the times for each. We were then directed to the locker room to undress (you are given a robe and rubber slides) and when my appt time came and other guests were being called for their services, I waited about 15, 20 minutes in the locker room over my time and went back to ask the brunette what the process was and if someone would be coming. She gave me a huff and escorted me to the eucalyptus room that I did not know about before because no one told me about it. She told me to sit there until someone came to get me. Much better than the locker room. There was also a quiet room. It would have been helpful to receive instructions when I arrived so I did not feel that I was bothering her. It would have been also helpful to elect whether you preferred a male or female for services as well which was a complaint from the group. Eventually everything seemed to progress in a positive direction. My technician Erin S was amazing and was able to brighten my experience. The hot cocoa and muffins were a second on the rainy afternoon. There was a pool, hot tub and a sauna on site. Would I go again, probably not. There are many, many spas all over that can provide the same or even better of an experience and pricing value. You go here to experience the "chocolate" experience at least once. I absolutely love the spa at Hersey! This place is amazingly special in its own way. I mean it's in a chocolate lovers town! The spa specializes in many services specific to a chocolate experience. They have wraps and facials, and baths that are all geared towards their signature chocolate. I mean who wants to smell like a cocoa butter and chocolate scented lotion? I highly recommend this spa, which would be great for a weekend get away with your special someone or to celebrate a birthday or girls getaway! My strong recommendation, though is, if you do want to go here, you book your spa treatments extremely early! Came here yesterday with my dad. Everything was going smoothly. The people at the desk were friendly, making the reservation was easy for the treatments, they have a nice variety of spa treatments BUT I had a horrible experience with one of the workers there. She was so cold and passive aggressive with me. I came out and told the front desk and was practically in tears. They immediately had me talk to the manager and she was very sweet. But the only thing that saved the day was my massage with Jackie. I'd love to give her 5 stars. If you see this and you are booking a massage ASK FOR JACKIE She was so upset that I had a horrible experience with another worker there she gave me a hug and was visibly upset. I love coming here for a spa day! Reservations are always booked out, so make sure you call in advance. This is my third visit here and I'm so glad that their spa has gone back to what it was pre pandemic. I went during the pandemic and it was not worth the trip or costs. This time around was an amazing stay. I came for day only services, but I had access to the hotel and their facilities. Check in was a bit hairy, the staff they have at the desk usually are sweet and delighted to have you there, but the two that were there were not so cheery. Other than the grumpy staff at the desk, everyone else was amazing and so joyful. The staff truly take care of their guests and make the services so enjoyable. I loved having some peace away from home. They have complimentary muffins, kisses, and hot beverages for you to enjoy while at the spa. And their muffins were delightful! I added their lunch buffet and it was worth the price. Their services are pricy, but I think for all of the amenities it helped make up for it. Prior to arriving @ Hershey Hotel I called to make appointments for spa treatments! I think this was the thing I was most excited about! The staff reassured me upon my check-in to the hotel that the Spa Apportionments were booked and I should be prepared for wonderful treatments! I booked a Chamomile & Lavender Wrap Massage and a Reflexology treatment! I began either the massage...Heidi had magic finger that put me at ease--a real pro..she asked all the important questions upfront to minimize chatter and I was able to fall asleep while she went to work on my body! Within 5 minutes of my massage ending...Reflexology began! Jess (The Best) did an outstanding job on exfoliating my feet and lower limbs and then the rub all the pressure points that made my body feel like butter..Wow...my 1st reflexology service was AWESOME (I didn't realize I was playing myself all these years of getting spa treatments..lol)! The aroma therapy and quiet rooms were great to relax before/after services. The staff were friendly and prompt on providing water; tea and of course Hershey's Cocoa and Chocolates! During my stay at the Hotel Hershey I stopped over here to purchase some of the chocolate products you are provided in your room along with one of their luxurious yellow bathrobes. The staff was very kind and helpful and made me feel quite comfortable. I decided to inquire about have a facial and got an appointment the next day for the chocolate signature facial which lasts 60 minutes. I made my purchase and when I got to the room noticed they threw in Hershey's kisses at the bottom of my bag. I say that because I learned later on that they throw these kisses in with any purchase that you make. If you are not aware of that then you might see some melted chocolate on the bag depending upon where you put it. I returned the next day for my treatment. I prepaid for my services which includes a 20% salon tip. I was then escorted to the back area where they had digital lockers with yellow robes for you to wear and you were given slip ons for your feet. My tour guide showed me the shower areas, restrooms, sauna, and beauty products in the ladies lounge. I was told to silence my cell phone which would explain partially why there is bad reception in this area of the hotel. There are 4 different themed pre and post lounge rooms to relax before and after your treatment. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. You can enjoy hot beverages and flavored water while you relax and wait for your esthetician. I had no sooner sat down in one of the lounges when she found me and took me back into one of the rooms for my facial. I was really sweaty from running around so that facial felt good. In addition to your face she worked on my hands, arms, and upper chest area including the neck, She answered any questions I had about skin care and gave me some recommendations. I had a pleasant time with her and when I was done she escorted me back to the lounge areas if I wanted to relax or the lockers if I wanted to revert back to my regular clothes. After my visit I learned that they have a separate store a few doors down that sell the products they use in the salon. I took a look inside that store and saw they were premium priced beauty products. I was happy with my purchases I made earlier with the chocolate mandarin conditioner and body cream. It should be noted that weekend prices are higher than weekday prices. Days guests to the spa are entitled to use the hotel's pool amenities and whirlpool during their visit. The spa also has a women's dining area which I passed by called "the Oasis." I did not get to price this restaurant since I had just eaten lunch elsewhere. My sisters and I visited the Hotel Hershey and Hershey Spa for my 40th birthday celebration. We each chose a spa package for the day and I got a bath, massage and hydrating wrap. I had Lauren for all of my services and she is AMAZING! The bath is pretty quick, only about 15 minutes and I had the milk and honey - it smells delicious and not too strong at all. We then had a little time for coffee and tea so we sat on the outside patio because the view is just insanely beautiful! (They'll come find you when your next service is ready.) My massage was the best I've ever had, and she listened to all of the different parameters I gave her due to health restrictions which is important. I completely relaxed which I usually find almost impossible to do. I can barely sit still and she had me on cloud 9. That's how good she is. I'm pretty convinced Lauren is a magician. Next another little break, and then the hydrating wrap in which you basically get brushed, slathered in great smelling lotion and then swaddled like a warm baby. I'll put it this way - I didn't think I was going to like it and about ten minutes in I almost fell asleep. It also includes a scalp and foot massage so....worth it! Another nice thing is you have access to the spa all day so I was able to use the shower right after my services and they have really nice products to use plus hair dryers etc. in the locker room. We were staying at the hotel but even if you're not, you can use the pool as well. Payment was easy and clear, no hidden fees or anything weird, they even add in gratuity so you don't have to figure that out although you are welcome to add more only if you choose. All in all an epic day, Lauren is outstanding as is the rest of the staff at the spa, they give you Hershey kisses even in the bathtub, and the place itself is gorgeous inside and outside. Perfect for a girls trip but I would be fine going solo too as they take wonderful care of every individual. Top notch service and place. read more

After having such a bad interaction on the phone with him, we were given the time to check out the reviews, all of them on Google, Tripadvisor and Yelp have slipped quite a bit. I had a manicure and pedicure at the spa. The nail tech Sarah was not friendly and even spoke in a condescending tone, which I found odd. She did an ok job on my mani, but cut one of my toes during the pedi. I didn't realize this until I got home. I recommend that mangagement keep an eye out for disgruntled employees. Here's why this place gets two stars: 1) We had to call multiple times to set up an appointment because they took forever to answer the phone, and the first girl who answered literally lied and said it was not possible for us to get in. I said - any treatment, any day this week, and she said it couldn't happen. I could tell she was lying so I called back and spoke to someone else who got me scheduled for an appointment in two hours. Ridiculous. 2) This place has a weird layout. You're just walking around naked in your robe, up and down stairs, to be crammed in a couple of sitting areas where there aren't enough seats to accommodate the number of guests. It's also co-ed, which doesn't bother me, but it is unusual and I know women for whom this would be a problem. The aromatherapy room doesn't smell like anything, either. And it's like, wicker furniture from the '80s in there. I paid enough to get better furniture alone and that place was packed! Which brings me to... 3) Holy outdated facilities, Batman. I know the property is older but I'm certain Hershey had the funds to keep the place modernized. It doesn't even look OLD, it looks DATED. Like it hasn't been renovated since the early '90s, which was an era that led to a lot of decorating mistakes anyway. JUST PAY TO KEEP YOUR EXPENSIVE ASS SPA WORTH IT. 4) This place is overpriced AF. I had a 50 minute massage and it was $187 and some change with the 20% gratuity added. I don't want to be picky but I noticed she only did 45 minutes, but she was good and I enjoyed the massage. But seriously I've had better services at much cheaper places. 5) The fitness facility is minimally adequate, and if you want to use the pool/hot tub, you'll be in the hotel area with dozens of other people. I get having separate pools would be difficult but a separate quiet hot tub area away from children would be nice. My advice is to definitely go and wander the grounds and the hotel, but save your money for spa services elsewhere. read more

The toilets were overflowing in the spa area, the sinks were not draining, the steam room was not functioning properly and there were fire alarms going off every couple of minutes for an hour. The safe, clean, and tranquil atmosphere one expects at a hotel spa of Hershey's supposed caliber was not something we experienced on this visit. The issues created a stressful atmosphere rather than a relaxful atmosphere. After our visit I reached out to the Hotel via email and never received a reply. That speaks for itself. The Hotel Hershey is beautiful and the grounds itself are something to see. My sister, mom and I came to the spa for appointments but it was hard to figure out where to go. The hotel is so big and the signage wasn't super clear so we wandered for a while. We finally found it and usually spa lobbies are quiet and have calming music playing, but theirs was loud, lots of people and everyone speaking at full volume. It took a minute to check in (they had flip flopped two of our appointments), but then we were given a short tour by an associate (super helpful since there's lots of places to go). We changed into our robes and waited in the quiet room for our appointments. I was surprised by the number of people there, especially the lack of masks (not one guest had one on). The furniture in the waiting areas were nice but definitely outdated. It's nice that they provide snacks and water/hot chocolate/tea for everyone. My actual appointment (facial) was great and the esthetician I had was really nice and did a great job. It's a treat to come here especially since it's not cheap but I wouldn't say it's the nicest spa. I'd rather spend the same at a newer more updated one with better amenities. I booked a day of spa treatments for my girlfriend and I to celebrate her birthday. I initially called several times, only met with elevator music as I waited 20+ minutes for a receptionist. Finally, I got through. Knowing how quickly the spa books out i called several months prior to my intended date. When I started booking I was pretty unaware of the packages offered by the spa. When talking to the receptionist I mentioned this, and made clear that my girlfriend was primarily interested in the chocolate chocolate experience with the cocoa bath. I was initially told that it should be possible to do that, and the receptionist booked a few things, to which I probably should have asked more questions, and I booked the experience. All in all fairly easy, or so I thought. Fast forward a few months to my booking, and I am now slightly more aware of what services I should be booking. I call several times leading up to the day, waiting 30 minutes at a time, and no answer. Finally, the day before our spa day I am able to get their in person to change things. I must give credit to the front desk who tried to accommodate my needs given the last second movi g of things. I wasn't able to get everything we wanted, but we had a few services we were mostly satisfied with. Now comes the day of the spa. We arrived as soon as the spa opened in order to take advantage of the facilities, for what little they had. There is a shared pool/hot tub and sauna between the hotel and spa that anyone can use. Not exactly a relaxing place to hangout with kids running around. They had a number of rooms exclusive to the spa, but most of them were overrun with the number of guests present on the day we were there. They had a "aroma therapy room", which was really just a small room with essential oils, nothing special. They alsohad a steam room in both male and female locker rooms, which was down during our stay. Lastly, the oasis rooms, which is their restaurant attached to the spa. This is only available to spa guests and offers a nice place to hangout while you wait for your treatment. Unfortunately, they are closed on Sundays, which I was aware of before booking. However, I was not aware that the oasis was the exclusive place in the spa for drinks, which means no spa day mimosas. The first treatment I had was the chocolate sugar scrub. This was exactly what I wanted. The gentleman that took care of me was great. Good pressure and a good exfoliating scrub. The next treatment was couples massage with cocoa oil. I had the great luck of having the same gentleman. The massage was 50 minutes, and I only wish I had more time. My girlfriend reiterated the same. Both were great about listening to what we told them. The last treatment I had was the "sweet feet". My girlfriend and I were able to sit in a private corner to have our treatment. Outside of that I'd say our treatments were pretty different. The woman I had barely exchanged pleasantries and did not offer or explain any of the services. I pretty much just had my nails filed and a clear coat. She didn't even cut my nails,which needed it. During this treatment they also include what amounts to a perafin wax with a hot boot in order to moisturize your feet. But they only have one size boot, which is not large enough for men apparently. This was the most depressing treatment of the experience. The last thing is the whipped cocoa bath. I was disappointed to find out they only offer this service to women as it uses the soaking tubs in the women's locker rooms,but I still got it for my girlfriend. The treatment itself is only 15 minutes and my girlfriend described it as very disappointing. The bath looked to be just murky water, which didn't even smell of chocolate. Overall I would call this experience pretty disappointing. The massage and scrub I received was amazing, and I can't understate that. However, the rest of the facilities/treaents were lacking for the price we paid (around $1000 in all just for the spa). I would recommend trying another spa. read more

Bottom Line: Awkward layout, average service and overpriced. I went to The Spa at The Hotel Hershey because I thought it would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience to get a Cocoa Massage. I'm glad I went but I don't plan to return as I can get a better experience near my home for much less. The spa has a very awkward layout. They built a men's locker room and a women's locker room but since most guests are women they ended up having to convert the men's locker room to a second women's locker room and shuffling the men off to a converted guest room, or something like that. I didn't go explore that. ;-) Something else that makes the layout odd is that it is two stories. I'm good with stairs but I am sure some people aren't so I think they might have to exit the spa to get on an elevator. Weird. I will say that the staircase probably offers the best views of the Hershey property! I honored the no-cell phone rule so that means I don't have a picture. Something else that I found odd is that the spa common spaces are all co-ed. I am use to spa's having co-ed spaces but also lounges that are women only, men only, etc. It felt awkward to be sitting around in a bath robe in front of strange men but I am probably more than conservative that most. I also wasn't a fan of the quiet spaces. The main quiet space was packed and there wasn't anywhere to sit. The other quiet space was cold. In fact, the whole spa was cold. My therapist even went to get a space heater during my treatment because we were both cold and she was working hard! Regarding the Cocoa Massage, my therapist was fine but I think the special cocoa massage lotion/oil really just seemed like I was getting smothered in Palmer's Cocoa Butter. I like cocoa butter but for a massage I think I would have enjoyed a calming aromatherapy massage instead. I did a 80 minute massage on a Saturday which was $225 plus a mandatory 20% of $45 for a total of $270. By comparison at my local place in Annapolis I pay $135 for a 90 minute massage plus a $30 tip for a total of $165. The massage I receive at my local place is 40% less than The Hershey Spa and the service is superb every time. What I liked about the spa was that my therapist was warm and welcoming and the chocolate muffins and hot chocolate in the quiet room were excellent. Based on my overall experience at The Spa at The Hotel Hershey, I do not plan to return. read more

When I called, they could not tell me when it would arrive, but that it usually takes at least 2 weeks. It would have been helpful to have that on the website, so I could plan for giving the gift in a timely manner for a special occasion. The Spa At The Hotel does their gift cards through a third party. They are not able to assist or help when the gift card does not arrive in a timely manner. Came for a girls days. We did the relaxation package. When you arrive, you go into a locker room where you are given a locker, bath robe and slippers. The slippers were not comfortable. You are given a tour and are allowed to use the indoor pool, sauna and steam room. It started with lunch at the oasis. It was buffet style with salads, and desserts. There were no signs labeling the food. You can order alcoholic drinks for a fee with lunch. We then went up to the quiet room to wait for our services. There was self serve muffins, fruit, water, coffee and hot chocolate while you wait. And candy bowls of chocolate kisses. You could also wait in an aroma therapy room. Which was very small it had about 8 seats. I did the chocolate bath, which is a 15 minute bath in a tub with chocolate powder and bubbles, next I had a full body massage(50 minutes) and ended with a body wrap(50 minutes) All services were not back to back so I had to wait in the quiet rooms until it was time. The Spa at Hotel Hershey is something I look forward to every year. My friend and I came last year for the first time and decided it needed to be an annual trip. The vibe is peaceful and soothing, yet bright and down-to-earth. The staff is ALWAYS extremely friendly and helpful and the services are just as amazing. This year, we did the Hershey Kiss package and it was an absolute dream. This includes a chocolate bath, chocolate sugar scrub and cocoa massage. My technician for my sugar scrub, Natasha, did an amazing job making me feel comfortable and relaxed. I had Nancy for my sugar scrub and she was so easy to talk to and did a great job with the scrub (and I smelled so yummy and felt so soft). Lastly, I had Lazarus for my massage and he made the whole treatment amazing with his great personality and awesome skills. I left feeling happy, radiant, and relaxed. When not receiving treatments, it's just as enjoyable to stroll outside in the robes or enjoy some muffins and coffee/tea in one of the beautiful rooms. It's also great getting to use the indoor pool and steam room in between or after services if desired. Overall, I can't speak highly enough about the Spa at Hershey Hotel, and I'm already looking forward to next year's trip! read more

I went for a couples massage with my husband and the waiting rooms had filthy old chairs and the essential oil room was filthy and didn't smell a bit like essential oils. The worst part was my massage though. I had Emily. I'm sorry but lathering tons of oil on someone and then barely caressing their skin for an hour is not my idea of a massage! I kept telling her to apply more pressure but no dice. I have had A LOT of massages and this by FAR was the worse one I've ever had. You couldn't pay me to return to this form of FAKE LUXURY. read more

Let's review the lunch buffet. Before we booked our spa appointments we really didn't know if the extra $20 for a lunch meal was worth it. Well it sure was! You can sit inside or outside (although the patio is small) to enjoy your meal. You have a choice of water, tea, coffee or cocoa included with your meal or you can order drinks a la carte. Severs are friendly and helpful. Offerings include a salad, vegetables, grilled chicken, pasta salad, and choice of soups. A short menu, but has good quality. I was filled. Oh! And as you would expect from Hershey...The desserts were rich and delicious! Each one worth at least $5 a piece. The lemon bar and the chewy nutty pecan were my favorites! You get your $$ worth here. Ladies come down in their spa robes or walk in from the hotel and make it is as low-key or as fancy as you want. My spa appt was good but could have been better. The specialist started late and them ended my appointment a bit early. In short, I didn't get a full hour of treatment. I imagine she used my time slot to get caught up in her day. Humph. She was nice enough but could have been more thorough. The aromatherapy room was great. I loved the chocolate kisses everywhere. The other amenities were lovely! I absolutely LOVE this spa!!! Rather than jump on the modern bandwagon, they embrace the history of Hershey including the yellow robes and yellow rose logo in honor of Catherine Hershey. I was completely caught off guard by how many people were there, but even with a large crowd they are plenty of spaces to kick back and relax including the silent area, quiet room, aroma therapy room, sauna, and even an indoor pool with a hot tub. My masseuse worked there for 11 years, and shared a lot of fun facts with me. I had a 50 minute mojito massage, which I highly recommend as it smelled amazing. They also have complimentary tea, muffins, coffee, and trail mix for guests to enjoy. It is pricey, but when you factor in you can potentially sit there all day long and relax, it's not a bad deal. Our group also had lunch at Oasis. At first I thought it would feel weird eating in my robe, but everybody was doing it and it was actually quite nice to not have to freshen up! I truly enjoyed everything on the buffet, and I enjoyed a buffet option much more than ordering off a menu. I'm pretty sure I ate everything twice, including the extremely delicious chocolate sweets! The staff is extremely professional, accommodating, and just overall exceptional. I needed for nothing, I was continuously checked on, and they made my weekend away from home the most relaxing experience possible. AHHHMMMMAAAAZZZIIIINGGGG! CHOCOLATE FONDUE WRAP $135 Warmed moor mud and essence of cocoa revitalizes and nourishes the skin. A luxurious body brushing is followed by the fondue application. The body is then wrapped in a soft warm blanket to enhance the total effect. A Vichy Shower rinse culminates the effect. First she dry brushed me and then massaged the warmed moor mud and it smelled like chocolate yummm. Then I was wrapped in a warm blanket and rinsed off by a Vichy shower. I've never been under a Vichy shower, it was like a full body hydrotherapy. You lay on a table while this full body length shower pours warm water on you, it's super soothing. I got up feeling very hydrated, relaxed and I got to take home the dry brush they used and some Hershey's kisses to take with me! Note: 20% gratuity is automatically added. Then you have access to the quiet room which has hot chocolate, chocolate muffins, tea, coffee, etc. Very tranquil and relaxing environment - I would definitely come back if I'm in the area! read more

Spa was difficult when booking appointments during a birthday weekend. It's unfortunate because it was the only negative part of our four day stay at the hotel. Hotel staff was very nice and restaurants were great. I have two gift certificates, good friends gave me for my birthday today, that will now go to waste because we won't be back. read more

Book your girls weekend getaway. Perfect for day or overnight accommodations. Kelsey and I stayed near by the the Hilton Garden Inn about a ten minute drive over to the hotel. Parking and check in are super easy. The staff is over the top accommodating. We were ushered to our lockers where we changed into our robes and slippers. I swear I have never been treated so well in my life. The facilities are beautiful white marble with plush carpets. You have the choice to go in several different rooms while you wait for your appointment. Some are for quiet mediation while others you can socialize. They have a space for everyone. Enjoy signature Hershey hot chocolate, tea, coffee and a variety of treats while you wait. Each room has several dishes of candy for your enjoyment. When it's time for your appointment the staff will find you no matter what room you are in. You never have to worry about a thing! I did the Sweet Hands and feet. Each service is about 50 minutes long. The hands included a chocolate scrub, manicure and an aroma therapy session. For my Sweet feet treatment I did the chocolate scrub and pedi. You can spend the entire day at the spa no matter how omg or short your appointments are. I left completely relax. I cannot wait for my next visit. read more

I was treated to a once in a lifetime, special day at the Hershey Spa and while extravagant and a bit out of my comfort zone, it was amazing. I enjoyed the all day chocolate package that included a whipped cocoa bath, chocolate scrub, chocolate fondue wrap, lunch, and massage. All of the services were amazing and every employee I encountered was over the top sweet (pun intended) and helpful. The only so so part was the lunch at Oasis... the food was kind of terrible. Some cheese, crackers, and sandwiches would have been so much better. Tips: Bring a small bag to carry with you (I had my chapstick, phone, and book in mine). Don't bother wearing undergarments under your robe (I hated this idea and it would have made the day better if I was so hung up on it). read more

The spa has nothing on the hotel and I didn't even get a service. I arrived on Wednesday, received a spa brochure and booked on Thursday and by the time I arrived at the spa for my 3pm service the spa prices and services had changed. The desk receptionist while kind could not find a manager to speak with me directly about the error. I booked a reflexology foot massage but when I arrived the desk receptionist told me the price I was quoted $80 was now doubled in price. They could not offer any explanation as to how this mix up occurred (I was just given the brochure and booked the appointment the day before). The best they could do was cancel my appointment entirely with no penalty to me. They wouldn't even honor the misprinted price or have a manager speak with me. read more

I spent a long time before writing this review, but genuinely want to offer customers a bit of a warning. I went here with a friend for massages in December, and with my husband for spa treatments in February. The muffins/water/cocoa are a nice touch! The rooms are lovely and I like that they embrace the old Hershey history. That said, a couple glaring omissions with my experience in Feb: 1) the spa facilities have been broken both times I went, so this seems to be a usual occurrence. What a waste of money to go to the spa and not use a steam room. 2) the fellow customers talk loudly and don't obey quiet room restrictions. Which is fine, whatever. But it gets a bit annoying when its bachelorette parties making a lot of noise. 3) I got infected cuticles on both toes from the pedicures. It was really painful in session and there was bruising under the nail. The pain lasted a week, made it hard to wear closed toed shoes, and hadn't been present before the treatment. 4) My spa employees didn't really seem to want to be there. One of them made jokes at my expense and kind of mocked me, "ha you think that's how you hold your arm for a manicure? I said loosen!" Then, she'd like shake my arm aggressively. She offered to get me beverages, but didn't follow up so I had to myself. Just that kind of minor stuff. 5) No toiletries were refreshed in the bathroom area. The brushes had hair all over them and were left on surfaces, without use of disinfectant. I showered but could not find someone to get a brush etc. Anyway, I didn't want to complain online, but I never received a call back from the front desk. I don't think it's worth getting any employees in trouble - god no, I've worked minimum wage jobs and it was just a personality clash. My whole thing was, is this worth the cost? The quiet room had close to 30 people in it, and 10 were taking shots. My manicure was costly and chipped within the week. My feet were in pain after the pedicure. Probably not worth the expense. read more
