Yelp has to do a better job in vetting reviews. Got a call from Selah after I posted my review and they are saying that I may have mistaken them for another Company. No I did not. I don't have Alzheimers yet I'm only 58 a professional. But I received a curse over the phone. He said they have everything recorded. Mentioned to him I hope the other party is aware. Everything was fine until someone named Calvin showed up in our facility. told him what we need, and he started to tell me is wasting his time because the roof doesn't need to be replaced. He didn't check for leak, didn't see how bad is the insulation, then started to tell me I'm wasting his time. Literally have no idea why this business has such high reviews. read more

When Carlos Chavarin came to do a roof inspection, I knew I had finally found the right roofing company. Not only was he the only inspector who included the attic as part of the inspection (without me having to tell them to check it out), Carlos also created a detailed diagram of my roof that pinpointed the issues he found and allowed me to visualize the work he recommended. I was a bit worried that the roof workers themselves wouldn't be as good as Carlos. Thankfully, I was wrong. The roof workers came early in the morning to check the roof to see what materials they would need. After going to the hardware store, they began working on the roof. They finished on time and did a great job. They left some debris that they said they'd come back the next day to pick up, which they did. Unfortunately, an issue did arise when the roof workers painted the vent pipes and flashing on the roof to match my roof shingles. That would have been completely fine and even amazing, but the issue was that I had just installed a new water heater enclosure and flue vent pipe. They painted the flue vent pipe, but I had wanted that one to stay it's natural steel color. I would have mentioned this to the workers had I known or had they told me they were going to paint all the roof pipes and flashing. When I told Carlos if he could help me replace it, he arranged to have the vent pipe replaced free of charge. I was pleasantly surprised at this and appreciated it a lot! In summary, great roofing company! Their workers are hard working and reliable and the work itself is great. And the customer service aspect is excellent as well. read more

THE NO SHOW COMPANY. I called them over a week ago. Guy answered said he was with a customer and would call me back in 20 minutes. He never called. I then called back and asked for someone to come out and look at my roof and give me an estimate. They told me Thursday at 9:00 am someone would be here. It is 9:20 am. No one has showed. Got the best News today!! So let's start from the beginning. With all the rain I had some leaks. Called another contractor was ripped off $2000. Called Selah Roofing on Saturday and Calvin responded right away and was out that Monday. Very professional and knowledgeable. No follow through. This company may be good for first timers but don't expect them to be there for repeat work if you're looking for more of a long term trustworthy relationship. Frustrating experience that they sent someone to inspect our roof and he didn't give us a proper bid with a breakdown of scope of work. After a few weeks of no communication, I called Selah and told them we were waiting on the quote and the gentleman who answered the phone (assuming he's the manager) said he'll have the original inspector to call me that day, and I didn't hear back ever. During my home inspection, the inspector flagged my roof as beyond it's lifetime. Afterwards, I had to get several roofers to come out and give an estimate for replacement. I called Selah Roofing Company to look at our roof after a tree trimming employee stepped on it and bent some of the metal shingles. Calvin showed up and looked over the roof. He informed me that the integrity of the roof was sound even though some shingles were bent. He actually repaired a few shingles, free of change. I was quoted $4500 from another company and wasn't provided with any pictures or a detailed quote as to why or what was causing the leak. If you are looking for a honest, respectable roofing company, you need to contact Selah Roofing Corp. My roof sprung a leak and I obtained 3 estimates. The 1st one wanted to replace my whole roof (ca-ching!). However, I knew I didn't need a new roof. The 2nd Company couldn't figure out where the leak was located and wanted to replace the entire section. Paul Parades, the Owner of Selah Roofing, found the location of the leak immediately. During this time frame, we were supposed to get rain, and he tarped the section, and two weeks later repaired my roof. In addition, he replaced the cracked tiles (my house was born in 1937 and they are the original tiles) and also installed a chimney cricket, which was also needed. I am VERY SATISFIED with the work done and the customer service. If you are reading my comments, I recommend that you give Selah Roofing the opportunity to assist you with your roofing needs. read more

Called several roofing companies to inquire about seasonal maintenance but sadly, most of the roofing companies listed on Yelp were only in the business for replacing/installing new roofs. Thankfully, Selah Roofing does seasonal maintenance. Explained to rep that we just moved in a new place and inspection report recommended to replace cracked tiles and ensure vents/pipes are sealed. Rep was very nice and scheduled an on-site visit just before Christmas. Also received an email confirmation, which was very helpful. On the day of, Calvin, the assigned roofer texted and asked if it was okay to come in earlier than scheduled since he finished early from another appointment. Told Calvin it was okay but needed to fully disclosed I have another company coming in as well and I may not be able to provide full attention; he was okay with it. Calvin came in just before the other company arrived and quickly assessed my roofing condition. It was also great that Calvin was wearing a mask and respectful of COVID preventative requirements. Calvin went up my roof, came down, and told me that since there weren't too many tiles to replace, he'll do them at no extra charge. I was quite confused when he said to contact the other company and cancel the appointment just out of respect and for them not to waste time to come since he'll be replacing the cracked roof for free. Calvin went to work and got back up on my roof, removed all the cracked tiles, and replaced them. He also checked the vents/pipes, and said they're still in good condition. Calvin and Selah Roofing gained my respect and I couldn't be more honored to share this experience so others who are looking for a roofing company to do a seasonal maintenance on their roof would give Selah Roofing an opportunity to earn their trust just like I did. read more

Unfortunately, these guys backed their truck into my gate on the second day on the job. Kept telling me they're going to make it right, but never gave me insurance. Day before the final inspection, the owner shows up with this welder guy and tells me about this patch job they're going to do (as the property owner, I get no choice in the matter). I already had 4 guys come out and say it had to be replaced. I told him, let's just let your insurance handle it (video evidence and their worker told me they hit the fence). Also, their contract has language that the property owner is to provide insurance, but I marked that out and said insurance is to be provided by them. Sketchy contract (I heavily negotiated), sketchy company, sketchy character. After they hit my fence, they ripped the roof off and left it off with no one telling me when they were coming back for 5 days. Felt like they were waiting out hoping I didn't stop payment on the check before they knew they were going to refuse to do the right thing... we'll see if the city inspector comes tomorrow... read more
