We were able to grab a last minute reservation for 6 people last night, but I will say the process can be a little odd. The reservation times will randomly pop up as available and then immediately disappear, but someone in our group tried one last time and then a reservation popped up. It does also ask for a credit card and said it would charge $50 for not showing up. The speakeasy itself is cute and a vibe-- it is very cozy and definitely only had like 12 seats at the bar and maybe 6 additional seats in the stools. The bartenders were funny and made delicious cocktails! What was kind of strange was we still had the "fall menu" but even so, the drinks were great. Would definitely come back again once they release the new menu. There was also food (pizza, sandwiches, meatballs) on the menu, but we didn't try any this time! Looked good though.

Segreto is such a dope, hidden spot! It's an unassuming speakeasy tucked away in the basement of Minya's Pizza. You either make a reservation or text a number they give you to get a secret code. Once you have the code, you're escorted downstairs. We didn't have a reservation but luckily didn't have to wait long at all. The space itself is really cute. I loved the lighting and the cozy, intimate vibe. It's definitely small, but in a way that feels intentional and very welcoming. The bartenders were great and super friendly, and I love that they offer pizza and small bites if you get hungry. Segreto is such a vibe, I'll definitely be back!

My first piece of advice when visiting Segreto is to get into the reservation queue online before going here. I tried visiting once before not knowing any better and ended up leaving because of the wait. This visit was different, I told the host my name and we were seated right away. The bartenders and staff are rockstars. It's a tiny space and they're able to keep everyone happy, so shout out to them! I don't remember the young man's name that was serving us but he was there last night and he was cool! I really love the secret entrance, it's just another cool aspect of the place and it makes you feel like a kid in Narnia. Lol. I also enjoyed the food. I tried the meatballs and the burger with fries. No complaints. Everything was fresh and came out in a timely manner. The drinks are good and the overall atmosphere is cute, it is a little louder than I expected. Lol overall I had a great date . I've got to bring my homegirls here so they can also experience it. Oh and parking sucks in that area so take that into consideration when you book your reservation.

Hidden gem found!! Segreto prides itself on being an intimate speakeasy. It's the perfect description of what they offer. Segreto is located inside of Minya's Pizza. If you put Segreto in the GPS it will take you to the front door of Minya's. The entrance for Segreto is towards the back- and requires a secret code to enter. After walking down some stairs you arrive at what is essentially a bar area. In addition to the seats at the bar, they also have a few stand alone high top tables and chairs. There is also a coat rack in the corner. Service was top notch! There were two bartenders who appear to work great together. The drink menu offers traditional alcohol and cocktails, however, they also offer house cocktails and even have zero proof drinks! There is something for everyone. The pizza menu is also diverse, and has a few vegetarian options. My party of three shared a pizza spilt as half chicken Alfredo and half tibs awake. For drinks, I had the Alaskan water (zero proof), my niece had the pumpkin expresso martini and my sister had the autumn hayride. The drinks were amazing! My sister's drink had such a unique taste. I love the creativity of the drinks. The pizza was very tasty. The crust was cooked to perfection, and the ingredients were plentiful. It was also clear that they use fresh ingredients! Overall this spot is a must try!

We ventured out to this hidden speakeasy on our last night in D.C. we found on a listing from Instagram. Nestled in an area closer to HU. We walk in and find a small bar seating area and a high tops. Not overly packed but gave a glam feel. We meet Arthur who was recent Howard grad and he's full of life making us a drink we see him make with hibiscus , homemade lavender syrup , st germain , very balanced but just right. They offer pizza they I passed on but it looked delish. We had a great time , nice playlist of music and a mixed crowd. Nice vibe and we also had shots on the menu as well.

Loved this cute speakeasy spot! The bartenders were very helpful with providing recommendations and the drinks were great! I would definitely come back here. They even have a happy hour menu that includes food from the restaurant upstairs.

I love a speakeasy, so I was super excited to hear about this place. Met a friend here a quick drink before heading out of the city. The bartender was helpful and was able to provide some great recommendations. My cocktail and shooter were both delicious. Would come back to check out their happy hour and more of their cocktails. The ambience was very sleek and modern.

Kind of disappointed by this place...cute concept and the ambiance was spot on. However, we didn't really like any of the drinks and the bartender was a bit aloof. He wasn't rude or anything, but didn't really try to help us to find/offer to make something we like, and the place was not busy at all. I'm very particular about my drinks, and the ingredients they use are super mainstream and average, and they charge like $25 a cocktail. I feel like at this price point, they need to offer something more unique and differentiated. I'm a speakeasy fan and have visited dozens of them from Vegas, SF, San Diego, Portland to Austin, and this menu just doesn't live up to my expectations at all. We tried a couple of things, they were as mediocre as we thought, so we left. Went to Trouble Bird later, their drinks and bartender were much better.

After indulging in some bomb-ass Italian at Grazie)my homegirl and I decided to keep the vibes going at one of DC's secret bars--Segreto. Let me tell you, this was a journey. So here's the tea: to get into Segreto, you need a passcode according to TikTok which they email after you make a reservation. Simple, right? Wrong. I realized halfway through my pasta that I'd entered the wrong email address. Naturally, I called to fix it, but instead of updating my email, the hostess accidentally put me on the waitlist. Sigh. Once you make a reservation, don't just sit back and relax. Confirm it through the Yelp text they send: "You're booked at Segreto for 12:00 am 11/24. Download Yelp app to confirm your reservation: yelp.to/YFTHzrLWev" I was so focused on fixing my email that I almost missed this crucial step. Don't be me. After confirming, we debated driving closer or Lyfting to the bar. I risked it, drove, and ended up parking two blocks away because the street Segreto is on was chaos. When we arrived, we almost missed it because Segreto is inside the Minya's Pizza. Yup, it's giving speakeasy vibes. A security guard greeted us (past the pizza display--yes, pizza), asked if we had reservations, and then informed the hostess. This is where things got...messy. Despite my confirmed reservation, I was told there was no seating and I was still on the waitlist. At this point, my homegirl was ready to flip a table. I mean, we walked here, and now they're telling us "wait." Make it make sense. Meanwhile, another couple without reservations arrived, and another girl was denied entry even though her party was already downstairs. (How are y'all gatekeeping her own friends?) Luckily, the manager stepped in like a knight in shining armor and saved the day. He quickly bussed some seats at the bar, and we were finally in. Mood = restored. Now let's talk about the bar itself. It's small but undeniably cute, with a bold, modern aesthetic. The blue-and-gold decor is chef's kiss, and the glowing blue bar feels futuristic yet cozy. The bartender, Trenton, had the music on lock--so good we had to ask who playlist was playing of course it was his. When it came to drinks, Trenton delivered. I told him I'm an Old Fashioned kinda girl, and he suggested the "Side Peach." (Although I hilariously asked for the "Side Piece" because clearly I can't read.) My homegirl went for the "Golden Ticket." Both drinks were on point. So much so, she ordered a second round. Not wanting to be left out, I tried the "Campfire Sling." While it was excellent, the Side Peach still took the crown for me. But honestly, these drinks were neck-and-neck in deliciousness. We closed the night with a music request, which Trenton happily indulged. He's not just a bartender; he's a cocktail artist. Some people just mix drinks. Trenton? He creates. Our bill came to $78.10 for four drinks, which felt fair for the quality. Heads up: tip isn't included, so tip generously--crafting cocktails is no joke. Would I return? Absolutely. But Segreto needs to get their door game together because that initial chaos was a buzzkill. Shoutout to the manager for being personable and fixing the vibe, and props to Trenton for keeping us happy with good drinks and even better energy. Final verdict: Segreto is worth the hassle, but make sure you dot your i's, cross your t's, and confirm that reservation. And maybe bring a snack for the wait--just in case.

Five years ago is when I was last here, back when it was Nocturne. I was so sad when Sugar Shack Donuts closed -- but if you remember Nocturne from back then, the process and location of Segreto are all the same. I won't spoil the surprise, so see if you can figure it out :). The space still has the lit up bar top, but the decor, menu, and even music, are all different. I met up with a friend here and it was a little loud... the layout and volume just kind of make it that way, but it is the perfect speakeasy vibe. And... the ability to have pizza in a speakeasy is truly special. La Teresita and Dear Summer looked beautiful (see pics) and tasted fantastic with complex flavors. This is one of the speakeasies in the city that truly looks and feels like one -- you won't just find it walking around the streets. Highly recommend stopping by!

Good experience but there is room for more. I stopped in for drinks in celebration of my boyfriend's birthday on a Friday evening during the holiday season (week of Christmas). I first found out about Segreto after seeing the reviews on Yelp and Google. My boyfriend is a foodie who loves a unique experience. I thought a speakeasy like Segreto would be perfect. I easily made a reservation via Yelp about 2 days prior for 10pm drinks. A lot of the reviews I read mentioned that it was important to have the passcode. I never got one. Moreover, when I reached out to them for the passcode via text, I never got a response. So, I figured I'll take my chance. We arrived a few minutes early and were advised we'd have to wait. The hostess advised me that because I had a reservation, I would not need a passcode. That's a little confusing since walk-ins don't seem to be a thing. NonethelessSegreto is located on the lower level of a pizza shop. Very clever honestly. I would've never known had it not been for the reviews. The pizza shop itself appears modern and clean but there is'nt any seating. Kinda ruins the surprise or mystery when you see folks dressed up in a pizza shop, waiting around but not eating pizza. Once our reservation was ready, we were guided downstairs by the hostess. Unfortunately, we had to wait a bit longer so they could clean the area but upon entering the space, we were delighted by the vibe and aesthetics. It is very tight in the room but sophisticated. It's dimly lit but the lighted bar highlights the room well. Moreover, the vibe is very grown and relaxed. We were placed at the very end of the bar which was close to its entrance and a storage area behind a curtain. Honestly, this should'nt be a seat. It's too tight of an area and staff are constantly moving in and out of the space. There are other seats by the bar and about 2 high top tables. Again it's a small and intimate space. When we arrived every seat was taken, so I can imagine how easily packed it gets. One of the bartenders kindly greeted us and provided a menu. They offer a minimal selection of pizza and drinks. We only had drinks. The drink menu featured a few house cocktails, shooters, and zero-proof cocktails. For a speakeasy, I honestly expected a bit more. As a lover of cocktails, I had hopes for curated drinks or maybe something out of the ordinary that would allow it to stand out from our speakeasies or cocktail bars in the area. I would've loved to see something with a coconut vibe or maybe a twist on a mojito. Most items seemed geared toward the fall season. Nonetheless, we both decided to try the "sidepeach" drink. A mixture of hennessy, peach schnaps, lemon, and lime with a sugar rim. It was ok. There were no hints of peach, but rather it tasted like a margarita. We were not impressed and decided to leave and do some bar hopping. In terms of service, there were two bartenders, both very kind and personable. We had no issues and I felt like the service was provided within a decent amount of time. The hostess who greeted us at the pizza shop, looked stressed. She wasn't rude or anything but she certainly didn't look like she was excited to be there. Nonetheless, we had no complaints. In terms of pricing, our drinks were $18 each. Not bad and pretty much what I expected. Overall it was a good time. The speakeasy was nice but based on what I drank and the overall experienced, it felt like a really nice bar. With minor adjustments, I think it could be greater. For one, adjusting the seating and perhaps curating a "star" drink that allows them to stand out, something that people will visit just to try. That helps maintain the experience. If I were in the area again, I think I would return to give it another try and possibly get a taste of their pizza. I'd also recommend to others, if you're looking for a nice vibe or ambiance. Its ideal for a date or after work situation. My boyfriend enjoyed himself and for me, that's all that matter. Thank you Segreto!

Taking off two stars because the wings took over an hour to come... we ordered at 7pm and the wings came out around 8pm. Also, one of the bartenders shattered glass at the bar and some of the shards fell onto my friend which was very dangerous. The pizza was pretty good with a spicy flavor and the drinks were great! The interior and decor inside are also nice. However, the flavor of the wings was too salty and too spicy which made the wait definitely not worth it. The menu's font seeps through from the front to back making it difficult to read.

I went back on a Friday and it was slightly busier than the first time I went. Music was great. Vibes were great. I had a pumpkin espresso martini and it was SO good. Arthur is an amazing bartender!

For $45 per person, the all-you-can-eat experience feels like a really solid deal considering how many protein options and side dishes you get. They start you off with a variety of banchan (side dishes), including a salad with this super tasty dressing that had the perfect little spicy kick. For the BBQ, we kicked things off with the spicy bulgogi and butter garlic shrimp, while the others tried the pork belly (I don't eat pork). Later we ordered the steak, spicy brisket, and grilled squid, which were all delicious. The spicy brisket especially was a standout for me. The guys also ordered two rounds of fried dumplings that looked amazing, but since they contain pork, I had to sit those out. I'd love to see Chadol add a veggie dumpling option to the menu! As for the sides, the kimchi and cold glass noodles were both hits at our table, and of course we all added white rice. The "mashed potatoes" though? Definitely more like potato salad and unfortunately very bland. On the other hand, the cheese corn costs extra but is 1000% worth adding. For drinks, the guys enjoyed the Woody Old Fashioned while I had a mezcal margarita-style cocktail that was smoky and refreshing. We also ordered one of the chicken options but never received it and eventually just gave up on it. One of the coolest parts of the experience is the ordering system. Most meats are ordered directly from a machine at your table, and the food comes out quickly on this conveyor belt-style setup which was honestly so fun. Drinks and side dishes are ordered through the servers. The atmosphere was lively and energetic without feeling overwhelming. The restaurant is actually much larger inside than I expected, with a modern setup that works well for smaller groups. That said, I didn't really notice tables for larger parties, so I'm not sure how they accommodate groups bigger than 6 people. Service started off a little rough because our server wasn't very attentive, but after I called it out, he definitely stepped it up and things improved. Overall, Chadol was a really good experience and absolutely worth the price. The 1.5-hour seating limit makes sense too, both to keep things moving and give others a chance to enjoy the experience. I'd definitely go back!

Did I mention that we sat in most comfy green velvet chairs in our cozy booth? How sexy! Service: our waiter, Jordan, was the best! He provided great service and recommendations.
