Been going to this location since it opened, quite a few years ago. The Shopping Center has an Ace Hardware as an anchor. It recently lost The Starbuck's, should make parking closer to See's easier for those that need it. The store, really like any See's I have been in, is clean and bright, the employee's here were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We picked up some Easter goodies for our friends and something for us, why not? We were helped by Sylvia, who is extremely friendly and accomodating! She helped us find what we wanted, and really is friendly and pleasant to deal with. Really, See's has a great eye for great people! Don't tell anyone, but I am there every couple weeks to restock my supply of Dark Raspberry Creams...fave! Came in for the caramel apple scotch mallows. Unfortunately they were sold out. The staff however was kind enough and gave me a sample to try . I ended up purchasing both the regular and coffee scotch mallows . Over the years I've purchased 1-2 lb nits & chews as gifts for family . They love it ! See's is easy to find with lots of parking . I have been a customer of this particular See's location for the past five years, and have always been impressed with the kindness and caring of the staff. But today I was especially touched by the kindness shown by one of the candy clerks, Aaron A. I was purchasing 8 half pound boxes of candy as a gift of gratitude for the medical staff that I had recently been under their care. When I mentioned this to Aaron, he offered the gold ribbons to put on the boxes and these terrific special "medical thank you stickers"! I admit, I'll take See's chocolates over Godiva any day. I know, Godiva is gourmet and it's good, but See's is like childhood comfort food. I also prefer See's dark chocolate varieties, but I won't turn down the milk chocolates. The other day I received an e-mail notification from See's that there was a new flavor - Coffee Scotchmallow available in dark & milk chocolate. A few days later I was in the neighborhood of my local See's, so I decided to stop by and pick them up. The lovely lady behind the counter greeted me when I walked in and asked if I needed any help. I told her I heard about the new Coffee Scotchmallow and had to try them since the original Scotchmallow is my favorite and asked for one of each. I picked up a few more things and as she rang up my order, she handed me an original Scotchmallow as my freebie since I had mentioned it was my favorite. That made me so happy! So happy to have See's Candies so close from home, but unfortunately, only pickups of online orders are available due to COVID. Looking forward to being back inside the store hopefully sometime soon in 2021. The staff at this South Pasadena location has always been super friendly and welcoming each time I visited. This See's location is also located in a pretty good-sized shopping complex that includes ACE Hardware (formerly OSH) and Starbucks, so parking is never an issue. My must-get items at See's are the Nuts and Chews box, the Peanut Brittle, and the Assorted Lollypops. These three items are guaranteed to be in my luggage each time I travel home to the Philippines to visit family and friends. The lollypops always end up as the favorite among family and friends back home. As far as my favorite individual items at See's, I always have to make sure to pick up at least a couple pieces of the Milk California Brittle and Cashew Brittle to satisfy my sweet tooth. Always guaranteed to be delicious and yummy, definitely my favorite even when compared to more expensive chocolates and candies. See's gift cards are available at Costco so be sure to pick up some gift cards to save a little money. Not so nice experience this time. I walked in to the store. No one greeted me for 3 minutes. The sales people, two ladies, were chit chatting while I am shopping. I was the only customer in the store. No sample was asked or provided. Then other customers, white people, walked in and they were offered samples with nice greeting. Can never go wrong with See's! This particular location is in the busy shopping center right off Fair Oaks/Arroyo Parkway. There's a Starbucks, ACE Hardware, Kelly's Kookies and the new location of Twohey's (among other businesses). Parking is hit or miss. Had a gift certificate to redeem and was quickly greeted upon entering the store. Was also presented with the obligatory sample. We found what we needed in under 5 minutes and the friendly staff person rang us up and even offered an additional sample "to go" with an enthusiastic smile! How's that for customer service. I'm still in shock and dismay. I love See's and have been to this store many times over the years. Days before Christmas I came in to personally pick out 2 pounds in a box. Nice ladies were working. But when it was my turn suddenly out came a woman who glared at me with both hands on her hips. She asked me what I wanted and I said "I'd like to pick out my own 2 lbs of candy in a box." She stood there. After a number of awkward seconds, I then said, by now, a little frightened of her and concerned "Well, shall we get started?" I had expected that she'd want to start ready with a box like they always do. She instead repeated "What do you want?!" I said, "Well let's start here with the dark chocolate types?" The whole experience was pulling teeth and her being exasperated. When I asked at what I thought was maybe half way through the process "How am I doing? - is it about time to go onto the next level?" (they'll tell you something like "You have room for 3 more") she scolded me with "I can tell when you need to! - you don't need to ask!" O-M-G. SORRY I asked! It went on like this. If I weren't needing to cross this off my errand list I would have left earlier on. She never offered me nor my husband a sample. I will never go back to this location. I'm not sure it is fair to evaluate a business during COVID-19 when all things have gone really sideways - but I do want to spread the news that there is a See's Candy in town that is open for online and phone orders! Hallelujah! I ordered online and received a notice about 48 hours later that my order was ready for pick up. Pick up was simple, walk to the door, wait for them to remember that they are open for pick up (this took a significant amount of time), give them your name, they close the door, find your order, give it to you and off you go. Not everyone knew the routine so there were people in line wanting to order samples or just a few. Nah, that wasn't an option, but it did add to the wait time! One woman asked about items in the display window (just a few leftover Easter treats & this was a late May visit). The employee provided prices and said that the customer could order online and pick those up later. The selection is very limited. There are no custom boxes being made right now, and some of my favorites (a whole bag of cafe latte lollipops for the discount!) were not available. But hey, any old port in a storm! read more

As the tradition, the bright white cabinets and shelves are filled delicious goodies for everyone to enjoy and as always it is very clean and bright! After browsing section after section, and grabbing a little bit of these and a wee bit of that, I almost felt like I need a longer arm to get my haul to the counter! The brand is known for excellent customer service and this location, in my opinion, is the gold standard. Very happy to note that you can now do a custom order of your favorite chocolates. Though figuring out the online order did take a few minutes when we picked up the order but all good. I was sad about not getting a sample at the store, but when I got home I noticed a sample packed with my order, which warmed my heart!
