Custom 2 lb box -all dark!
Kelly R.

We paid a visit to but 2 lb custom dark chocolate box as a Valentine's Day present to ourselves...a little early! We chose all dark, including truffles. Staff was super friendly and we even got a couple samples to enjoy on the way home and they were delicious and "gone in 60 seconds." What a treat. We'll definitely be back.

A free sample with creamy chocolate filling! All the chocolates I bought were delicious.

A pound gets you 19 one-inch squares of chocolate joy. My assortment was strangely uneven -- only one Caramel, and an uneven distribution of the others. I can't speak to the Toffee or Pretzel varieties, as the nuts in them would kill me (although death by chocolate *is* my preferred way to go -- please take a note). My favorite was the Marshmallow, followed by the Ganache, then the Caramel, then the Peanut Butter (peanuts are a legume, FYI). They were all tasty, but somehow not as good as I'd imagined them to be. They were rich and buttery, and the chocolate was high quality, but there was a decadence I expected that just didn't happen. Maybe the chocolate wasn't dark enough or the PB wasn't sweet enough? Don't get me wrong -- I'm so happy with a pound of chocolate in my living room. But somehow, I'd hoped for more. UPDATE: The folks at Allie's contacted me about my review and were apologetic about the lack of Caramels in my order. They offered to send me more gratis, and did ASAP. How sweet is that?

I got them delivered and anxiously awaited to receive them. Needless to say I was disappointed. I think they are too sweet and don't have enough flavor. The chocolate tastes like sugar not chocolate. I give up. I like this chocolate so little that I brought it into work and gave it to all my co-workers because I didn't want to eat it.

The Choco tacos were so delicious, a little difficult to eat, but delicious nonetheless! My little brother DEVOURED the frozen chocolate covered banana, he absolutely loved it! They also have a small selection of candies & some old school Knick knacks to look at! A ton of options of ice cream flavors, shakes, malts, sundaes, you name it! The place itself is extremely small, no AC, & gets CRAMPED inside to the point you're squishing your way through people just to get out. There is some seating outside, none inside. Parking can be tough, the parking lot is kind of confusing & make sure you're paying attention to the signs as lots of the spots are for boat permits only!

The shop also sells a variety of candies and snacks, which makes it a fun place for kids. Since it's located next to a bar, there is often live music on Friday and Saturday nights, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Parking can be a bit difficult, and getting in and out of the parking area feels quite tight. The shop is also filled with a lot of merchandise, so the space can feel a little cramped. Overall, it's a fun spot to grab some ice cream by the beach, especially if you enjoy a lively atmosphere and live music on the weekends.

Horrible experience - caused my granddaughter to cry due to his rudeness…read more We had an 11 am class on 7/5/26. We arrived at 10;50 and were told to leave the building because he was not ready. We reentered with others at 11:05. The lady in front of us told him that 3 of her 5 reservations would not be there. I waited until everyone was checked in and hands washed. I stood by the register for over 5 minutes - when he finally came over, I told him that I would be happy to take one of the missing reservations. He said I would have to wait until everyone showed up, but not everyone was there. So I sat down next to my granddaughter. He came over to my chair, trying to explain the same thing. I told him that the lady (who was right across the table from me) had told him that 3 were not coming and that I was trying to help. HE THEN STARTED to verbally abuse me, telling me that I was being rude and that if I didn't stop, he would not be able to teach my granddaughter. I responded that we just needed to end the conversation (the entire time, I was sitting WITH HIM STANDING NEXT TO MY SHOULDER). He continued by calling me rude and threatening. All I could say was we needed to stop the conversation. HE CONTINUED WITH THREATS. Then he decided to kick me out after I made a hand gesture to stop talking. As a backdrop, I have been a customer of theirs at the Farmer's Market for years. That will be ending! Bill McNabb

I could tell how passionate the owner, Jim, is about the business. He crafts his chocolate from ethically sourced beans, roasts them and makes the most deeply dark chocolate! My favorite was the chocolate ganache with walnuts! But there's such a variety of flavors to chose from. There's even chocolate tea and hot chocolate available. I'd like to return to take one of the classes. They offer classes for children. But they also offer a 2-3 hour class where they teach how to temper and decorate 21 pieces of chocolate that you get to take home! Until then I'll just have to settle with eating them!

I proceeded to tell her about my last purchase of the mini jaw breakers, which are supposed to have a somewhat chewy texture. I explained to her that the last time I bought them there, they were stale and before I could finish, she cut me off and was like "I can't give you samples!" So then I continued to question her, "so if I buy these candies and they are stale again, what happens?" And she responded very rudely, "I can't do anything about that," while the whole time she was giving me a dirty look and acting like I was making some crazy request. So even though I spent more than $40 for a big bag of candy and had to throw away literally half of the bag away (so throwing away $20), you mean to tell me you will allow me to make another blind purchase and I will just have to accept that they are stale?! No freaking way! You lost my business! Sweet Factory, you need to work on your employees' customer service. The lady was very rude and I didn't take the time to take her name because I was so disgusted with how she looked at me and dismissed me right away. She definitely could've handled that much more professionally and with a little more compassion for the customer. Sweet Factory, if you don't train up your staff to be more courteous, I'm sure you will lose more business! I will not be returning!
