They mark up prices to put things on sale. Last week they were having a buy one get one free sale on 3 wick candles. The price for a single candle during the sale was $26.95 but the normal price for their 3 wick candles is $14.95. There was no buy one get one free anything. Getting 2 candles saved a whopping $3. I thought this practice was illegale. Make sure you pay attention to their so called sales as there isn't much of a savings. read more

I absolutely love Bath and Body Works! I usually go to the Carlsbad mall location but hate dealing with the mall crowd and how hectic that store is. I happened to be in Encinitas at the Target and noticed there was a Bath and Body Works near by. Of course I had to check it out. When I arrived I was stoked to see one of their awesome sales going on for the 3 wick candles. I walked in and wow! The store is big, clean and organized. There were shoppers but it wasn't chaotic at all. The workers were all super friendly and helpful! I ended up buying more than usual because I was so comfortable with my shopping experience! The nice girl working the register even helped me get my account sorted out after quite some time of not receiving information. The Carlsbad location was always too busy! I can't wait until the next big sale so I can go back for another awesome shopping experience! read more

Customer Service is Horrible at this Location! I always Shop Bath & Body Works. I have to say I rarely have a bad experience. But this location truly needs an employee overhaul. The older woman with dark brown hair needs to go! She is rude and follows you through out the store when you turn to approach her for help she is rude short and unwilling to help. Maybe she should sit in the back room and get paid for monitoring loss prevention because that's all she's good for at Bath &Body. You are literally losing customers because of her behavior. read more

In high school and college, I frequently shopped at Bath & Body Works for lotions, perfumes, and hand sanitizer. However, I have not been to a Bath & Body Works in quite some time. While staying in North County San Diego, I stopped by the The Shoppes at Carlsbad. As I was walking around and enjoying the expansive range of national and regional retail venues, I noticed that the Semi Annual Sale was happening at Bath & Body Works. Needless to say, I decided to browse around and was blown away by the amazing deals! Many items were 50-75% off, including the numerous hand soaps and candles I purchased! In addition to outstanding discounts, the staff at this location were extremely welcoming and helpful without being overbearing or pushy. I was so happy with the amount of products I purchased for the price I paid and will certainly return to this store (maybe even before the next Semi Annual Sale)! read more

I have been going to this store location ever since this was open (3+ years) and the employees who work there have been super friendly and accommodating. Today was a different day. Lexi, who called herself as the store manager, changed my opinion about this place. She was very rude and sarcastic to me. At the same time she completely declined to exchange an online order that I was picking up in the store. She told me that the policies have changed since last 6 months. When I told her that I recently exchanged a similar order few months ago then she just declined to comment and told me that she won't do it. At that moment other employee showed her how to do this exchange. I don't get it, how does this Manager Lexi doesn't know things that other employees know and then she turned rude to me in her comments. I hope this review gets addressed by this location's management. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. To make life easier I placed an online order yesterday and received 2 different emails indicating my order was ready. Today I went to picked my order which I thought should take 10 minutes or less - but after waiting outside in a very disorderly way - no one could locate my order, nor did any of the 4 different employees working at the time seem to care in the least bit. I eventually let the staff know after 40 minutes that I could no longer wait. They took my phone number and said they would call when they found my order - which so far no one has called. read more

We show up here at 6:30pm (store closes at 8pm) on a Friday night for $10 candles. There's 10 people in front of us in line to go in. We wait in line 5 minutes then a young girl employee who was stood chatting at the front of the store (with another employee) comes and tells us we can't go in because they have already counted and capped the number of people. What the heck? Such nonsense and a waste of time even driving over there. And why isn't one staff member at the back of the line and one at the front? Why waste people's time having them stand in line long before you even notice them. Terrible customer service. read more

Love love love this store. I never shopped at BBW until a few months ago. Now I'm obsessed. They always have sales on different items, and they're very good sales too. Today I went in for their candle sale and got seven candles for $57 and change. Normally prices $25 a piece. Everyone's always super friendly here and will definitely be back. I was super disappointed with this store. I was excited to do some shopping. I went over, I go to open the door and it's locked! I went online to check when they close it states they close at nine. It was 8 o'clock when I went over they were closed an hour early!! I work all day and it's hard for me to get out during the day so I had to go over after work. I've been a customer for years and I'm super disappointed with this!! read more

Madi was not helpful. As a cashier, she didn't even say "hi" or "how are you?" When my elderly mother asked what her points were, Madi said the only way to access her points is through their app. Which I know is nonsense because last time we were here we found out my moms points just by asking the cashier. You can't expect every customer to download your app to get your points. That's terrible customer service as well. read more

Same greeting just use a paper bag during COVID to carry your chosen items. Unfortunately, I still couldn't find what I was looking for (sorry Bono). And I ended up leaving empty handed due to no deep cleansing hand soap. I get it, the foam soap works great but it's just not the same satisfaction I get from the jelly type soap. And it began to feel like a nightmare when all I saw was the foam soap. I bought them once, shame on them, I bought them twice, shame on me. I just cant pay $4 for foam which is basically air mixed with some fragrance and soap. read more

The staff is super friendly here and their COVID-19 precautions are great. They are organized and only allow a few people in at a time, so the shopping experience is very pleasant and feels safe. However, I was not happy when I went for the candle day sale and they wouldn't let me use my valid 20% off coupon. It did not say it excluded the candle day sale in the fine print, and I know many other people who had no problems using these 20% off coupons on candles at other stores today. BBW's own Instagram said you could use the coupons in store on candles. They would not even let me try to scan it. I like this store for the most part, but I will probably go to a different store for candle day next year. read more
