Omg! What a little local gem. I always prefer supporting the under dogs and was in desperate need of getting my daughter's balloons blown. So YELP to the rescue! This is in the Northgate Market plaza. And they had a TON of party supplies and reasonable prices for blowing up balloons. They also have piñatas, gift bags, party favors, you name it. I will be coming here for all my future party needs. read more

If you're looking for a place to get cheap party decor this is the place to go. They have everything from table covers, utensils, streamers, balloons, etc. they even can make party props such as customizable Photo Booth portable frame. It's a bit crowded and dark inside. But there's lot of people especially in the weekends getting helium balloons. read more

This is one of the biggest Mexican party supply store I've been too in Escondido. I went in on a Friday and the short lady and older gentlemen that were there were incredible even though their English is very limited. I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 star review because I went in on a different day and there were different people and they honestly don't know how to treat customers. So if you want the best costumer service I recommend going when either the short lady or the older gentlemen are working. read more

They have prices on their merchandise but don't hold to those prices. The guy said he priced them but when I wanted to buy they were a dollar more. He wouldn't honor the sticker price. When I asked about the owner he said "don't bother she never comes in, you'll never find her"... This is why everyone is moving to online shopping read more

The store is decent as it's probably the biggest party supply store in North County with a huge variety of mexican candy. The store is extremely cluttered and the aisles to walk through are small. Customer Service is non existent. I've been going to this store since I was a kid and you won't be greeted when you walk in, you'll just be looked at. This store could have more potential if the employees were a little nicer and welcoming. read more

I needed a bunch of balloons filled with helium, and was in a panic. I drove to party city, but they are out of business, so I tried the dollar store. They said they couldn't fill balloons that weren't purchased there. I even offered to buy their balloons if they would fill mine instead, but they wouldn't budge. I took to Yelp and found out about Dulcerias Aztecas. I had nothing to lose, and my stress was growing, so I headed over. They were more than happy to fill my balloons, even though I didn't buy them there. About $50 for 18 large latex and 2 giant mylar numbers. I don't know if that's considered a good price, but I was happy to pay it and they took care of it immediately. I looked around as they were filling them, and they have a TON of party stuff for any occasion. I'll definitely be back in the future, and recommend this business to anyone looking for party supplies or who simply needs some balloons filled. Thank you! read more

This is my go to place for piñatas! Any theme you are looking for you can find. I have bought Michael Angelo (ninja turtles), unicorn, donkey, beer bottles, I even bought a giant bunny for easter... they have a large variety and if they don't have it you can ask and they usually can order it, they don't always do that though. I only buy piñatas, but they do have all kinds of party supplies: cello bags, decorations, party favors, candles, streamers, utensils, balloons, baby shower chairs... anything you need they probably have. The reason I only buy the piñatas is because they don't have great customer service. I've stood there and waited to be greated or talked to and nothing. Unless you talk to them, they don't talk to you... usually. What I do now, because honestly you can get a large piñata for 16$ or so... I walk in, look around, take down whatever piñata I want, walk to the register and pay. read more

I needed a piñata for a party and they didn't disappoint. I was able to get a superhero one for five bucks and 3.3 pounds of candy to fill it for another $10.99. My Spanish is not very good but it didn't matter. The people working were kind and able to get me what I needed even with my language barrier issues. Do not give these people your money! The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I came looking for a Patron Pinata for an adult party. Every time I came in, they told me they didn't have one but would order it and gave me a specific day to return. Each time, upon my return, they didn't have it! After my 4th time returning and them telling me they didn't have it, I decided to grab another one as the party was in a few days. I asked for a discount because of all the inconvenience I was put through and lady happily declined. She said take it or leave it. I happily walked away. These people were so rude, disrespectful. Every time I was in line they'd help all the Spanish speaking customers first even though they were in line behind me. Horrible business practices! Don't waste your time or money! read more

This place sells expired candy and also has bad customer service. I bought a surprise egg for my daughter and when she opened it the chocolate looked all nasty. I didn't do anything at that time but when I went back to buy another one I told the lady that the surprise egg I bought before was expired and all she said was 'well do you want it or not ?' The perks of living in " Esco"!! Yaye! The Mexican candy store! It's equivalent to Party City- but Mexican style-Practically any kind of party theme you can think of they have the decorations. Piñatas Galore!! Even for adult parties- giant Corona bottles or Champagne- of course all the cartoon/ super heroes/Disney etc. They also have the photo booth type frames as well. I'm pretty sure you can have one custom ordered too. Quince or sweet 16 /debut decor it's here! When you buy a piñata you gotta fill it with candy/toys etc- loads and loads of Mexican bulk candy to choose frm that is really inexpensive compared to getting it at any (Esco)grocery store. It's probably better to get reg fun size chocolates else where-but hey Chaca-Chaca!! & Salsagetti my personal favs-are always fun to see flying out of a busted piñata! These past few years coming here I love how everyone always calls me " MIJITA". Lol - super friendly & family owned! Those all add up to 5stars for me. read more

Huge selection of Mexican candy with reasonable prices. I find that a lot of the products here at cheaper than in Tijuana which is great because you save money and avoid the traffic. I haven't used any of their other party services but I can say that most people seem satisfied when they leave the store. We even found some pretty classic mexican candy that we hadn't seen in years!! I will definitely be coming back to this store and would recommend it to anyone. P.S. the store actually closes at 8pm read more

I stopped by Dulceria Aztecas on esco Blvd by Northgate looking for a piñata and asked them if they made custom piñatas. Unfortunately I found the staff to be very rude, didn't speak English, wouldn't even give me eye contact... They seemed annoyed that I asked a price for a piñata. It's like I'm sorry but isn't this a store where you sell things??? sure they had a selection of piñatas there but definitely take your biz somewhere else! They were gonna charge me 3 times more for a piñata than I paid for at Dulceria Castillo! It's a good thing I know some Spanish so I can communicate somewhat. Either away, body language speaks volumes and they acted like I was a nuisance to them for asking 2 questions. I was the only person inside the store. It wasn't even busy. Service is horrible. Go to Dulceria Castillo on 11th ave and esco Blvd! Service is beyond excellent there plus their piñatas are much better and more affordable! read more

Horrible customer service wish I could put 0 stars I've been ordering for 5 years and never had such an issue I ordered a pinata 1 month ago and they promised to have it 1 week before my party I got no phone calls or voicemails so when I walked in all they could say is they ran out of material and needed another week...how the F do you run out of supplies a week before the party and a month of waiting so upset they tried to give me another which was no where near what I ordered or wanted so unprofessional!!!!! Never order here because they wont make the deadline and wait last minute very disappointed and 5 years of business went down the drain read more

We always go here to buy candy or look for a pinata when we have a party. I came in today looking for boxes of "paleta payaso". I need thirty, so the boxes of 10 would have been perfect. I am no longer going to shop here because they were playing narco-corridos. For those of you that don't know, it is music that talks about (basically glorifies) drug kingpins/traffickers. I am all for free speech and listening to whatever you want, but this music at a party supply store? Where kids are coming in to look for their pinata and candy? Really? No thank you. Prices are good and they have a really good selection of things. Pinatas are a bit weak but that is what you get anywhere. read more

Her business facility is in an industrial complex shared with other family owned businesses and mainly this establishment is only for her private preparations of her delicious creations! Kept very clean and functional! We've been sporadic as customers ever since we got to pipe in the Grenache ourselves and sample the chocolate making process & yummy goodness! She's got very creative packaging too. So a special occasion can be very personalized too. Dark, milk, and even vegan options available. You've a choice to swap or double up on a flavor choice if she happens to run out of a particular selection. Truly spectacular products. You might even see them at a chocolate fest, or even wine or food pairing type event elsewhere! This time we tried a bar in conjunction too a chocolate box and my daughter is happy with it! Not only do they taste great, but beautiful too, I plan on ordering again! It's not your normal store front, they make and put chocolate boxes together on-site, so it was very interesting and I'm glad I went!

I can't say I had the interest in going, however that changed and my curiosity about what a High Tea was, and the crowds here at "Tea Time" left me wanting to try it out. This was not just Tea, this was a bounty of tea, they had so many different types and flavors of tea (40+) that you sort of want to try them all, while technically you can as the tea is unlimited, but trust me you won't as the two pots of tea you start with, is a lot of tea for two! Sure, in a larger group you can try a lot more, but it's still a lot of tea. The Grand Tea, High Tea option was what we went with, and you started with a soup, followed by a tiered selection of sandwiches, desserts and scones. I assumed that I would have a snack here and then get something else to actually eat but I was filled to the brim when I left here. This place was full to capacity when we went, but you did not feel encroached on, the owner Louisa, the servers, all amazing, welcoming and nice. I feel like I was a bit unprepared as everyone else was dressed up with little hats, and my wife and I had no little hats! Next time, I will 100% at least sport that little hat, and there will be a next time, absolutely great experience!

The outside of the structure was cute as well and I would like to experience that soon. When you walk inside, it's a store with cute tea related things. As you pass through that room, it opens up to the actual tea room and it's so delightful. There are European things on the wall and the walls are painted nicely. The tables are decorated nicely as well. You get a choice of which 2 teas and food you want. We tried a lunch like tea, a black tea, and I believe some type of raspberry tea. We had a Turkey cranberry sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, soup, delicious bread, and desserts. The food was tasty, but hard to eat all of it due to all the tea drinking. The tea pots are wonderful and the tiered serving trays are great. Even the utensils are fantastic that I want some at my house. They do offer events so you should check those out! I'll definitely come here again!!

I decided to stop in and to my delight I was surprised to see Easter candy on sale. I guess I've never gone to a See's after a holiday. A perused the rack, hoping to find my favorite. Sure enough they had a six pack of my absolute favorite Scotchmallows for considerably less than you would pay if you bought them separately or not on sale. The woman at the counter was very friendly as I find to be the case at most See's candies. She offered me a piece of what they were sampling for the day. She also asked me if I'd had other flavors of scotchmallows. I was unaware that they had other flavors, but she said they had seasonal flavors and that the milk chocolate was a seasonal flavor. I had no idea. She gave me a taste of the coffee Scotchmallow. it was good, but I prefer the original. I really enjoy See's and will always be a big a fan.
