Definitely pricey - know that going in! - but their customer service is great and their selection of frames is pretty great too. Went in for an eye exam and the optometrist was very patient and answered all my questions during the exam and made sure everything was accounted for. I have been a See customer since 2009! I live in the NW but have bought several glasses usually in Florida when we are down there. Funny huh... but that's where I discovered them!! So anywhoooo I'm in today cause I bought a Groupon that is good till April 20 only so $$$$ have to spend! I got a new pair and had 4 of my other frames put lenses in! One extra star only because Naomi appeared to have tried to working with the their lab on 2 occasions when I brought my glasses in for scratches on the lenses. I have been a glasses wearer for 40+ years and never had the kinds of quality issues with lenses as I had with See's. I used the same cleaning cloths and sprays as I have for every other pair I've owned and never had any issues with scratches, yet within a week of using these glasses, the scratches made seeing through almost impossible, yet that the lab claimed was due to "misuse". Warranty doesn't cover this and they wanted to charge me 50% of the cost of the glasses to replace them again with the cheap lenses they appear to use. Sad, b/c I liked the frames and the customer service was good - too bad "corporate" didn't see it the same way. read more

I came because my wife was looking for new trendy frames and this place was highly recommended. The frames are quite loud and colorful that are targeted to more feminine or metro-sexual tastes. My wife loved it and ended up buying some frames and said this was the lowest priced frames she's bought in many years. Yep, she's got high taste and likes the best, so SEE must be pretty good. I had broken my frames and purchased new ones off Amazon to cut costs. After getting my frames all I needed was to have my lenses put in and glasses adjusted. The lady that helped me was absolutely amazing. After she popped in my lenses and adjusted the glasses I asked how much for her services. She told me no cost. 1. Lie to me 2. Charged me more than what the l should pay. 3. Waited twice as long as I was told. 4. Not answering phones after I find the evidence. I went to this store with my prescription highlights Hoya Anti Fatigue Hoya lens and clearly said I want to make the anti fatigue lens. But when I picked up the glasses, it's not the Hoya lens and was told they don't do this lens and will never charge for something they won't do. (But they did charge me what they didn't do) However, the invoice that printed to me and it was $224 with single vision lenses, polished edge blue light premium A|R and nose pad. But, my card was charged $259.2 which should include the anti fatigue lenses. They told me they have that service and charged me but now I was told they don't do this kind of lens. I was told I should get my glasses in 3 weeks, but I waited almost 7 weeks to get it. I was in store March 13th but the glasses was shipped to store April 27th. I thought the special lenses took long but then it's not the right lens! After I got back home I find my bank statement and find the difference between what I paid and what the invoice shows and I emailed it and wanted to call to make sure they received it. I found SEE through my eye insurance. UHC has a log where it lists all the doctors that take my insurance. So I called SEE in August and made an exam appt. Well, apparently I scheduled my exam too early because my insurance didn't renew till 9/1/2016, SEE advised me of this a day before my appt, and I was able to reschedule. Thanks for letting me know! Glad I didn't have to pay more out of pocket than I had to! I have been here twice now, 2nd time for follow up. Both times I saw Dr. Sathi Maiti. Loved both my visits with her! This is a super trendy eyeglass shop I feel. I also feel that everyone who works there promotes their product and wears all the funky glasses they offer! Good way to sell their product! I wear contact regularly or else I'd think about buying a pair of glasses here. I think, Cody, is the guy who works the front, he's nice and personable as well. I enjoy my visit to this office. Love the location of the place too, it's in the heart of downtown and I am able to walk to it after work. read more

Dr. Maiti is very professional and I was pleased with my eye exams that she provided. She is patient and explained things well. The office is nice and conveniently located. The staff is friendly and helpful however on several occasions when I called, the phones went unanswered. The staff helped me pick out some amazing frames that I absolutely loved! I went back a couple times for new frames and was pleased! My insurance was processed well, however, I did have to get clarity to ensure I was getting all of my discount. I needed to have my len prescription adjusted after I tried my glasses for a couple weeks and Dr. Maiti reexamined my eyes and tweeked my prescription to work better. Parking in downtown Seattle is not good/easy though. I'd recommend using public transporation, if possible. I would recommend this location and I definitely absolutely love their frames! The frames are a bit costly just like nice frames at most other highend locations. read more

Phenomenal experience with SEE. Top-notch customer service. I am not a prior customer and came on the excellent recommendation of a colleague. I spoke with Naomi on the phone to see if the store would sell a replacement case for my glasses. When I arrived at the store some time later, Naomi remembered our conversation and helped me browse their selection. When the standard glasses cases were too small for my frames, Naomi went above and beyond to find me an alternative that was exactly what I was looking for. I visited the Seattle store since it's been over 2 years since my last visit and looking to update to another style. I was greeted by a friendly associate who suggested a variety of styles. I had then narrowed down to 2 which i then asked for quotes. It seems that pricing had gone up. What went haywire was when the other associate got involved who was so loud and asking questions from across the room. What is your last name? Who is your insurance provider? And I almost lost it when she told me about my coverage from across the room when other folks were there. I guess i lost my coverage when I switched to a new provider. I was doing well with the other associate who was respectful and discreet. But I think the other associate, whom I assume to be the manager, seems more fitting to be a barista. I felt like she was giving me a job training lecture. Hello, I'm a customer who used you in the past. I really like a couple of those frames even though it'll be mostly out of pocket this time around. But I'm not sure if I can deal with this person. read more

Just Wow! I've visited the store four times (dropoff, pickup, 2 different pairs of glasses), and both Julie and Lindi were fantastic to work with! Lindi not only researched some weird, obscure nosepiece parts for an old pair of sunglasses, but also set aside a case for me to pick up at a later date that I realized I had forgotten to get when I picked up my finished frames. She's also a whiz at fitting the frames as well. I would recommend this place to anyone--I'm 100% happy with their service. A satisfied customer! read more

I bought two pairs of glasses from See one year ago and have to replace both, despite buying more expensive frames and anti-scratch lenses. Bottom line - their glasses don't hold up as well as other brands. This review is to update a prior review. I now have glasses that fit. SEE agreed to adjust the temples WITHOUT an additional charge. Lindsay was responsible for communicating with upper level management that their should not be an additional cost once I was sold a frame that was supposed to fit. I'm thinking the higher level management is not as focused on customer service as they could be which would make it hard for the employees to assist the customers. However Lindsay stuck with me. It took 3 lens redos to get one that seems to work. I give 4 stars because I had to drive into Seattle and Park so many times which was inconvenient. I now am wearing the glasses, love the frame and adjusting to the final redo of the lens. Will monitor the frames as far as holding up over time...... will SEE. read more

I used my medical benefits to get an eye exam at SEE Eyecare at the Seattle location in December 2018. Following the exam, I got my glasses done from a different merchant. The glasses were made per the prescription but were unwearable because as it turns out, the exam wasn't done correctly and the prescription as incorrect. I reached out to SEE Eyecare at the Seattle location and they asked me to comeback for a re-exam. I did go in for a re-exam and got a revised prescription on 01/05. I was hoping that the doctor would have gotten the eye-exam right the second time around. So I returned the first pair of glasses and ordered 2 pairs based on the updated prescription. I got both the pairs and it turns out that the exam wasnt done properly and my prescription is not correct after 2nd exam. I called the SEE eyecare location the 3rd time to ask for help. The person on phone - Raven - was rude, extremely unhelpful, kept telling me how it is my fault for not getting glasses made from SEE and hung up on me. When I asked if SEE can release my 2018 eyecare benefits so I can get the exam done from elsewhere, she said the doctor has already been paid and they wont refund me. Now I am stuck with 2 pairs of glasses that I paid for and I am not eligible for another eye exam until December 2019 with no help from anywhere. I keep thinking WHY did I decide to go to SEE Eyecare instead of another doctor and regretting my decision. read more

Disappointed customer and patient - will not be returning and will be looking for a different provider. I initially came here for my annual eye exam because it was downtown close to my home and work. At first it was a great experience, the doctor was very nice, and the staff has always been extremely friendly. I have always worn daily contact lenses so I requested to try bi-weekly or monthly lenses. The doctor provided me several different sample contacts to try out until I was able to find the best pair for me. After several weeks of testing out a few different types of lenses, I found the right one. No problems there. When it came down to buying the lenses with my insurance, I had the option to put my insurance credit towards lenses or glasses. When they gave me pricing for the contact lenses, it was extremely expensive, so I declined and decided to purchase my lenses online for a much more affordable rate. I do not have a backup pair of glasses. During the week leading up to the 4th of July, I was on my last pair of lenses and one of the lenses suddenly ripped. Over the course of a few days, I had attempted to call SEE several times to see if there were any samples that I had previously been given as a patient that I could purchase, but was not able to get through. I placed an order online with expedited shipping in the meantime on the Thursday before the holiday. Because of the weekend and with the holiday midweek, They were not expected to arrive for a week. After walking around with one eye blind for the weekend and not being able to get through to SEE, I finally had free time to go to the store physically on Tuesday before the 4th of July. When I spoke with the staff, they advised me their phone had been down (and was still down by the time I came in). I understand things happened, but for a business that is also an eye doctor to have their phones down for over a week is unprofessional. The straw that broke the camel's back here was that I was blind, waiting for my contacts to arrive via mail and desperate to be able to see, especially given the day it was before a holiday. I asked if the staff would be able to sell me a pair of sample lenses to get me through the next few days. I was willing to pay. The staff said no, they would not be able to do so. I asked if there was any way they could make an exception for me because I did not have the time nor funds to go purchase a pair of glasses at Lenscrafters before the holiday (who does same day lenses). I do not drive, so to take the bus to Lenscrafters would take over an hour and it was in the evening, so I was on a time crunch to get help. Had their phones been working, I would have been able to get their rejection sooner and would have been in a better position to get to Lenscrafters over the weekend for glasses. The staff member I was speaking to went to go ask someone else who also said no, since I did not purchase my lenses through them they were not willing to help me. They told me that if I had purchased my contacts through them, however, they would then be able to give me a pair. Even though I was a patient of SEE, that didn't matter. This is not a regular occurrence for me and I have never asked them of anything. I was desperate and couldn't see and would have greatly appreciated a level of humanity for someone to help out a patient in a one-off situation of need during a holiday week. I was even willing to pay for the lenses. Being told if I had only spent more money with them, THEN they would have been willing to help me is a very poor way to treat your patients. My previous eye doctor in Texas had helped me in a similar situation several years prior. They were willing to sell me a pair of lenses for $10 when my contacts were not arriving in time before I was scheduled to go out of town. That said, I know other doctor's are willing to make a customer service decision in times of need. Unfortunately, SEE puts money first and are unwilling to see through dollar signs to help customers in times of need. That evening I took hours out of my day to take the bus to Lenscrafters. Their staff was understanding of my situation and resolved my issue for me immediately. SEE has lost me as a customer for good. read more

A friend has been telling me about this place fir years. Generally I'm very overwhelmed by the idea of choosing something that goes on your face ALL the time... for all occasions!.. but I really needed to stop squinting all day long. The staff at SEE were EXCELLENT! From the person who did my eye exam to the staff that helped me (FINALLY) find my dream frames! They're COVID precautions we're on point abs they even had a part of the store where you could remove your mask to try on frames. All of their systems made me feel well thought of and cared for as a customer in these times. The only thing tho is they seem to be severely understaffed and you can get in only by appointment only. That means, you call all day long and you probably won't reach anyone. However, I did have luck getting calls answered if I called just before closing time. So if you like bold glasses, excellent customer service and you can be patient knowing we're all navigating strange times, don't hesitate! read more

Decent prices and styles *however* buyer beware. Bought sunglasses with scratch coating and reflection free. Unfortunately the scratch coating began to craze after about 6months, to the point where the glasses became unwearable. I figured SEE would stand behind their product so brought the glasses back to the store to have the lenses replaced. I was introduced to the manager (wish I remembered his name). Instead of volunteering to fix the problem he focused on fixing blame. He made excuses and insinuated this was my fault for not talking care of my glasses, which not only was insulting but also ludicrous given that I've been buying glasses w/reflection free and scratch coating from other optical retailers for 30+ years and have NEVER had this issue before. After arguing with the manager he finally relented and offered to give me a 25% discount on replacement lenses. This discount was conveyed as he was doing me a favor. Basically he wanted me to pay them more $ to fix their inferior product! No thanks. Needless to say I walked out and they won't ever 'SEE' me again. read more

I love this place. After switching jobs, SEE was the closest optometrist that looked legitimate offered by my plan. While I dread driving into downtown and finding parking the service provided at this location is well worth the effort. The optometrist has good bedside manners and is very sweet. What stands out are the employees who help process everything else. They go above and beyond in general. After buying my glasses I found it a little uncomfortable and came back. Three people spent 30-40 min trying to adjust the glasses, rechecking my prescription, modifying the frames to see if it would help. They resent my frames to adjust some settings to a previous pair I owned- but the adjustments were so minor I felt bad they did that. I'm waiting to receive my new frames but I am pretty blown away by the level of service from this shop. I purchased contacts in early February and was given a rebate coupon/code by SEE to submit online. The $200 rebate convinced me to go ahead and purchase the contacts from them and not shop around for better pricing. When I went to submit for the rebate, the code wasn't valid. I called SEE multiple times and was given more codes. NONE of them worked. I was advised in late February that they were going to get in contact with the representative and obtain valid codes. I have tried to follow-up with them multiple times since then and none of my calls or emails have been returned. I have been giving them my business for several years -- even referring friends/family to them... but will not be returning because of their poor response. My first experience sold me on SEE. Without my knowledge, one of the saleswomen brought me a selection of frames she thought might appeal to me. Most were not even styles I would have even considered, yet I fell in love with most of them. She knew what I did not. To date, I have purchased 4 pairs and my husband one. I receive compliments from friends and strangers every time I wear a pair. They are quick to make adjustments whenever needed. I said great when is the next opportunity for an appointment? She tells me Saturday 12-28-19 2:30pm. Ok perfect I said. Then I asked her to give me a card with the time and date for a reminder. These folks are total pros with amazing service. My wife and I went here because we had heard good things and it was a great fit with our insurance. We had a plan for each getting a new pair of glasses and sunglasses. We were helped through all kinds of great options and given great advice and a full breakdown of costs. I knew I was going to look at one other place for frames and they were super helpful with advice to allow me to comparison shop. My wife ended up getting her 2 pairs at SEE and got a great deal and loves them. I ended up liking a couple of other frames elsewhere a little more so purchased them at another shop. My wife had her new pairs adjusted expertly at SEE right away. I was not so lucky with my pairs at my other shop. They mangled them and they were nearly unusable because they weren't aligned well. So I took my 2 different glasses I purchased elsewhere to SEE on 2 different occasions and they made them fit perfectly and gave me some great additional advice. They didn't bat an eye at helping me. Two years ago I purchased a pair of glasses from SEE in Chicago. Two weeks ago the glasses broke (totally my fault) and I called SEE in Seattle, my new home town. They offered to send them out to the lab to be fixed for free (including shipping) if I just dropped them off. There was a bit of a miscue with insurance and the exam, but we're only human and it all turned out fine. One of the frames he selected were for sunglasses I would probably never wear. I brought a pair a glasses from here in August that I'm totally in love with. As soon as I walked in, as staff member was there to help me pick out frames within my price range. The sales clerk gave honest suggestions about frames that fit my face and skin tone. I even decided on one of her picks! Just had our eye exams from Lens Crafters Clinic( Southcenter branch) and bought lens for my husband last week which we think have the worst customer service in town. I purchased a pair of transition lenses and frames from See in the spring of 2018. I provided See my medical/eye insurance info and they assured me most of the cost of the lenses and frames would be covered under my insurance and they provide me the paperwork to submit to my insurance company. My bad for not confirming with my insurance before the glasses arrived. Insurance covered less than $100 of the $600 glasses cost. I fault See partially for assuring me that my plan would cover the cost of the purchase. The glasses arrived and the reader portion of the lens was wrong so I couldn't read with them. I took them back and am now waiting to hear if they will give me new lenses or refund my money. More to follow. I took the lenses to a friend of mine who's an optometrist and he said they were average quality, not $600 worth. Their employees were very helpful but the glasses are way overpriced. They pitch themselves as a small independent company trying to do good in the monopolistic world of eyewear but as best I can tell they are no different than LensCrafters. read more

An absolutely amazing experience for my wife and me. Lizz Schornack helped us find the perfect frames. She provided the best customer service experience we have ever had anywhere. We are in our 50's, so that is saying something. We landed here because they take my insurance. After 15 years of pretty unsatisfactory experience in a number of places (and states), I spent a couple of hours comparing who would take my insurance against reviews here. Hands down SEE is the place to go. Believe every good thing said here on Yelp. The frames are wearable art. My wife got a new pair and that wasn't even part of the plan.
