A different optometrist found that my first prescription was extremely off and worked with me to dial in my new lenses. It was a challenge due to my light sensitivity and he was extremely patient with me. When my replacement lenses arrived I was asked to wear the new lenses that came in to replace the bad ones for a few weeks to see if my eyes would adjust. While in the office I ordered a second set of sunglasses. After receiving my replacement transition lenses, they had been far better, though I still have issues when driving or when looking at text on a screen from 20 ft away, so I called and they told me to come back in. This issue was also with my sunglasses which had the same perscription. This is what prompted todays visit. As instructed I came in for the service I was told I would receive over the phone. The owner acted as though he had complete holy justifiable contempt simply because I wanted an adjustment [I was also in a good mood when I walked in]. Proceeded to blame me for his inability to act properly, all while I am picking my jaw up from the floor. Told me that it is he who approves all adjustments and he would not approve mine. Go elsewhere. Literally lost his temper and tried to take my purchased glasses away from me 'with a refund' leaving me completely blind (I didn't have my old glasses anymore) because he didn't want to address issues with my prescription. I continually told him I wasn't wanting a refund or anything and yet he kept pushing me and saying "If my glasses didn't work properly I would just return them...", I eventually told him to stop pushing me to return them and he reacted with "I am not your child, dont tell me how to talk in my store". I fell silent for a while out of shock at this as it was out of nowhere and totally unexpected. I was not reciprocating his agitation. This was my second visit to resolve an issue with the prescription. Note the staff was great! Even though they got my prescription incorrect I thought they had been wonderful. It was just him. I actually would go back if I didn't deal with him. Sorry for any typos, as you can imagine I have issues seeing right now.

This is way overdue. I looooove see eyewear. They have an extremely diverse selection of glasses. I find the styles to be original, but the best part is that the customer service here is excellent. My plan when I came to see this place was just to look and get an eye exam. I found the prices to be expensive, but the staff there convinced me to buy a pair. After I chose my pair, the nice person who helped me pick my pair kept quoting me a higher amount than I was told my insurance would pay, but at that time I just wanted my glasses so I told myself I'd deal with it later. Once I received my pair I called my insurance and was advised how much less it should have been. I got a bit frustrated at first because I couldn't get my insurance to deal with it, but turns out they called See and told them the issue. Right away someone from the See store called me and told me they took care of it and refunded my card. I appreciated the quick call back. I'll go back every year to get a new pair. I wish I had done this sooner. Overall it was a great experience . read more

Have you ever walked into a business as a stranger, was greeted like a friend, and left feeling like part of the family? If you have, most likely it was at SEE. Maya Angelou said it best. "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." I will forever remember how SEE made me feel the first time I opened the door, makes me feel each time I return. Teressa and the SEE team are very nice and extremely helpful! I explained to Teressa what type of look I was interested in, and she helped me to pick out a great pair of frames and then guided me through how to apply my vision benefit toward the purchase. When I received the glasses, I had quite a bit of trouble with how they were fitting and was worried that I was going to have to trade them back for a different pair, but everyone was patient and willing to assist and after a few visits, they figured out an adjustment that worked! I love these glasses, have gotten tons of compliments on them (everywhere from the local supermarket to overseas!), and highly recommend SEE for their products and their staff. read more

I have no style sense, and am horrible about picking out what looks good on me. The staff helped me find glasses that looked good on me. It was wonderful feeling that you could trust people to actual be concerned about what looks right, instead of what can I sell you. I have had my new glasses for a bit over 2 weeks. I was greeted and had help from Sean and the other customers. The first pair that Sean chose for me were perfect. I had ample opportunity to check out everything else but they were the hands down winner. I was prepared to pay quite a bit for them and they weren't cheap. But after insurance and discounts these will be cheaper than glasses I bought 10 years ago. I'm very excited. First time there and was taken aback by how gracious the employees were, how clean and organized the store looked, and even the level of professionalism displayed by both the doctor and staff. I have a very strong prescription, so I can end up with coke bottle glasses that make my eyes look small and distort my face. Sean helped me through the eyeglass selection process with great skill. I ended up with two great pairs of glasses, one that has rhinestones in the corners. This artsy pair is nothing like I've gotten before and they are my super fun driving and movie watching glasses. Just want to say that I'm very pleased with my new bifocal glasses that I purchased at SEE in Madison I've tried bifocals over the years but I was not happy with them and couldn't wear them . I had the most painless experience of choosing glasses ever. I went to See, Inc. on State Street. There was a small, cute chihuahua named Mr. Icky. That had never happened before in the (50) years that I have been wearing glasses. When I inquired about getting a two year guarantee for the replacement frames, I was told that no, only the original warrantee was in place. Well, in a recent visit, concerning a continued problem with the nose pads falling off, I mentioned that a corner of one of the lenses was clouding up. The "technician" said that the lenses were delaminating. This after 2 1/2 years of use. I was told that since the lens was outside the two year warranty, they would not replace it. Imagine, after only two years, the provider would not stand behind them. Especially after the small fortune that I paid for those glasses. We all know that Costco would have made those glasses for roughly 1/3 the cost. I won't make that mistake again!!

I continually told him I wasn't wanting a refund or anything and yet he kept pushing me and saying "If my glasses didn't work properly I would just return them...", I eventually told him to stop pushing me to return them and he reacted with "I am not your child, dont tell me how to talk in my store". I fell silent for a while out of shock at this as it was out of nowhere and totally unexpected. I was not reciprocating his agitation. This was my second visit to resolve an issue with the prescription. Note the staff was great! Even though they got my prescription incorrect I thought they had been wonderful. It was just him. I actually would go back if I didn't deal with him. Sorry for any typos, as you can imagine I have issues seeing right now.

I'm so happy!!! I bought some Versace sunglasses a while back and well... it kind of fell apart on…read moreme. I was so embarrassed to wear them so I bought Coach sunglasses instead and forgot all about my Versace sunglasses until today! I left my sunglasses @ home and for having brown eyes, it's totally sensitive to bright light... which, from what I understand, is a bit strange. Anyway, I call the Johnson Creek store where I purchased my frames from and spoke with Kyle (I believe) from the Johnson Creek store and he was so nice and helpful. He told me the regional manager said I would be able to exchange my glasses for new ones and even called the Madison location to see if they had the same pair because Johnson Creek was a hike for me. So, here I am, at this West Towne location picking up my new sunglasses. I'm so happy. They're so awesome. Really good customer service y'all!!!

Fantastic customer service. I had an issue with one of my sunglasses becoming loose (purchased…read moreafter the 1 year warranty). I spoke to Dillon, who graciously helped me fix it for free. It is rare to find a worker eager to fix sunglasses. He found that one of the small screws on the sunglasses was not only loose, but rusted. He was able to find a new screw and fix the sunglasses in less than 20 minutes. So, thank you Dillon for making my sunglasses as good as new!
