Took the family for a quick bite before catching the new Mission Impossible and we all really enjoyed the food. The ambience is Colorado ski lodge feel and the server was friendly and helpful. Looks like there's outdoor seating so we might do that next time. We snagged a high top with plenty of room in a quieter part of the restaurant. Pretty impressive list of beers on tap but we just got food for this outing. We started with the seared Ahi Tuna and were surprised how well it was prepared. Everyone wanted more! For entrees we got the south Rim shrimp flatbread, the Thai Wings, the Land&Sea, the shrimp and grits, the simply wood grilled salmon and the Acapulco tacos !(which were a deal at $13) and it was all very good. Prices were pretty reasonable for a restaurant in these times. There was a bit of a wait between appetizer and mains but we made our movie easily so nbd.

TLDR; sub par food with a worse experience Service - I had SUCH a bad experience at this location. It's a shame because I love Sedona, and I need more restaurants to go to in Midlo but unfortunately we will not be back. Came for a late lunch around 3, and despite being pretty empty the service was very slow. The part I actually took issue with was I ordered a "side Caesar salad," it looked like a side salad but then I was charged entree price. There is no way that salad is worth over $10. When I spoke to the manager about the fact that I didn't order an entree I was basically told too bad with zero accommodation. I find this practice incredibly unethical. If someone orders a side, and that's not an option, that should be made clear up front. Food: NY Strip: good but not great. Caesar salad: incredibly small portion for an "entree salad" with no protein. The dressing also tasted really bad (not like Caesar dressing). I couldn't finish it. Devils Pass Pasta: delicious! Super flavorful! Would order again.

Simply put, the food is not tasty or unique. It is a good menu but the food lacks ingredients and texture to make it stand out. I waited to go here twice before giving it a review. The hosts are polite and the servers are very friendly and make you want to come and visit and give it another try but the food is a dub! There's ample parking and low lighting once inside. It is spacious although narrow once in. This last go around I ordered a soup and salad, the soup was from their seasonal menu. It was butternut squash and it came out chunky like it had been pureed, definitely not soup. The salad was a simple garden with added chicken. The chicken had 0 flavor to it. Sedona would be somewhere to go for apps and wine if in the area but not a date night spot and definitely not taking potential clients.

First time eating here. Was very impressed with the ambience of the restaurant, very clean and classy. Perfect date spot that won't break the bank. Got the Prime Rib Sandwich which was really good, 7/10, as well as a monthly special French Onion Soup, which I was pretty disappointed in. It looked pretty but wasn't very flavorful, and the cheese had a texture that put me off a bit. Only took a few bites, 3/10. Girlfriend got the Gorgonzola salad which was yummy, 7/10, and a gluten free Margarita flatbread, which she liked.

We ended up sitting at the bar for a couple beers and dinner. The outside vibe had fire pits and Adirondack chairs with some tables. From the minute, we entered to the moment we laughed. We were thoughtfully waited on by all the staff. Falcon smash is always my go to beer when I go there and this grilled chicken Parmesan sandwich was amazing. Definitely worth a stop when you're Midlothian Virginia.

I've followed this brewery on social media for a few months and have noticed their pictures consistently feature pours with an inordinate amount (2-3") of head on them. As someone who absolutely hates foam, I asked up front for no head. The bartender winced and explained they had to pour that way or they'd get in trouble because the ownership "wants the aroma expressed." I was taken aback...not only by the total lack of regard for the customer but for levying that threat against an employee. I was waiting to meet someone somewhere else for dinner, and put aside my disdain and capitulated as I didn't want anyone getting in trouble over a beer. So, I figured I'd make the most of things out on the patio. Alas, you can't take glass out in the patio, only plastic cups. What?!? If this were a college bar on a Friday night, sure - pour into plastic. But happy hour in Midlothian? The bartender did say they could pour no foam for a plastic cup though, which I thought was funny - they're so precious about their beer the foam is mandatory, but yeah, just dump it in plastic for the patio. All in all, a negative experience and one I won't repeat. My advice is to give the customer what they want, don't threaten employees, and eat the cost of a few broken glasses. To be clear: I get the notion of aromas and such, but this isn't Russian River or Alchemist, or even The Veil (none of which have foam mandates). I could even understand if they were busy (I was the only one ordering), but I wouldn't have asked for a longer pour under those circumstances. The beers are average regionals and customer service and good treatment of employees are non-negotiables. I hope ownership sees this and chills out; the person who pays for the beer dictates the pour, not you.

There are plenty of seating, indoor and outside. Service was nice and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Their menu had a lot of different offerings from burgers, to pizza, to entrees. FOOD: ~Sticky Ribs (4.5/5): actually fall off the bone tender! The sauce was tasty. Only thing was the ends were a little too burnt, but it wasn't inedible - gave that nice char taste. ~Italian Grinder (5/5): Typical italian sandwich, but the bread was so good. The roasted peppers added a nice kick, and the sauce was yummy. ~Fries (5/5): love battered fries! And they were seasoned really well ~Catfish and grits (4/5): the grits were wonderful consistency. Catfish was fried really well and was extremely tender. The sauce was so flavorful, but it was very heavy. At first I was worried about the huge chunks of celery, but thankfully, it didn't have that strong celery flavor and added a nice crunch. A really solid meal, especially for a golf course restaurant!

This used to be a place where you'd have to wait for a table every time, but now the restaurant is half empty and I see why! When I was ordering my food our server was slightly rude & I was taken aback (but you never want someone to spit in your food so I ignored it lol). As I was ordering my food she repeated my wing order to me as she was typing it in, but she did not acknowledge the fact that I asked for all flats so I said all flats again & her response was an "I heard" under her breath which others at my table noticed the rudeness associated with it as well. The wings visibly looked different but fine, however once I started moving them around, I noticed they were dry & chewy like they were over-fried, but normally when I get them they are moist with a slight char from being grilled even tough they are dry rubbed. The loaded baked potato I was a shock to me..a lot more cheese than potato and it was cold. I'm simply very unsatisfied. I took my food home with me & ended up just throwing it all away. They've still got the best blue cheese though, hope that doesn't change! I've got lots of points to use so I'm going to just try a different location & pray. My two times at Short Pump have been better than the last six-eight months at Midlo.
