Updating my review because most of my pictures didn't download.... Great meal and well priced. Friendly fast service....meal was well paced ...not rushed. Cute seating indoors and outside. Charming booth and window seating with great ocean views. Big bar with Tapas.

Hard to find any issue at SeaVenture Restaurant. Celebrating my wife's birthday, we requested a window table and got it. Ordered a lovely bottle of local Paso Robles wine (Dusi, and we're able to bring the left over home). Dined on a split Caesar salad, the surf & turf entree (with mashers, grilled asparagus, a side of sauteed mushrooms), everything prepared to perfection. Service was light, friendly and just right. Lovely for couples or foursomes. All made for a wonderful evening.

In the central area of California lies the perfect stay away vacation. You can get away for a few days by driving on the reliable 101 freeway and stay in the three small towns of Pismo Beach, Avila Beach, and Aroyyo Grande. No airport to hassle with mostly friendly people from all walks of life. This review is all in on the splendid Sea Adventure Hotel in Pismo Beach. In the heart of Pismo you park in an expansive free parking lot. A quick jaunt across the beach town street and into the Sea Adventure hotel. Up the elevator to the third floor you see the outdoor sitting to the left with many tables in the middle for the pleasure of looking off the wonderful sight of liquid gold. My lady and I were greeted by the very pleasant server named Jordan. He turned out to be a very helpful young man with a lot of information about this community. Mostly where to eat and what to do. My Lady and I started out with the hearty New England soup thick and superbly flavoured with the combination of sweet and a touch spicy. My lady had 3 beef sliders and two coconut tacos that were delicious . I had to try the large portion serving of a well marbled Prime ribeye so tender to the appreciative taste buds. A large baked potatoe with the works seemed appropriate and well worth the addition. Started out with a French 75 a smooth effervescent cocktail. My lady had a mock strawberry drink that was much to her liking. We decided to just have a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream with a ladled raspberry jam added. Oh for just fun. After a brief stroll on the beach we took a quick drive back to our hotel. The entire area is a three pointed triangle with plenty of room to travel all three during a brief visit. We really enjoy this community. We will be back very soon

Let's start with the positives, the views are great and It was nice to have dinner at sunset. The bread and butter was delicious and so was the loaded baked potato. However the meat skewers appetizer were terrible and we didn't even finish them, between the flavor and texture not even the sauces could make them better. The steak was terrible. The flavor and texture were just so bad I had to ask for steak sauce to try and make it palatable. It helped but not much. Plus there was a lot of sneaky hard gristle on it. If the food was better I'd recommend this place for the views or maybe order something other than what we did.

This place is amazing! The service was extremely fast, friendly, and they were all super efficient. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, plus bar top seating. The best part? No matter where you are at, the view is absolutely breathtaking. We opted in for the surf and turf for two and the clam chowder. The chowder was to die for and the dinner plates were delicious as well. This was a dinner we will remember, that is for sure.

First time at this restaurant. It's hidden above the hotel, or in the hotel? Super fancy. I wasn't a fan of parking, they didn't seem to have a lot of spaces, or maybe I didn't see that they had more. I'm not sure. I ended up parking on the street. The restaurant has outdoor seating, a bar, and an amazing view. Unfortunately it was a foggy evening. My boyfriend's uncle is a regular there and knows the waiter so we had excellent service. The price is high but the food looked good. Small portions, but it is a fancy restaurant so that's expected. If you're a bougie seafood loving person, then this is the place to go.

Sweet views of the sunset sitting on the patio. Killer service. Elevated and fun takes of classic American food. The whole menu looked great. I had the vol au vent because the baked puff pastry with lobster and shrimp sounded unique. The sauce was great. It didn't even need the potato's which took away from the pastry. The lobster and shrimp were well cooked. My friend enjoyed the pan seared filet mignon which was cooked perfectly. We wish both dishes had more sauce because they both were so enjoyable. Lava cake was fresh, hot, gooey I should've ordered 10. Can't wait to visit again!

This place was great starting with the view. The staff were great as well. Super attentive. As for the food, the calamari appetizer tasted fresh and not rubbery. The vol au vent with the puff pastry was excellent. The gravy on it made the dish and wasn't too rich. The halibut with shrimp and lobster risotto was very good but rich. All of their drinks were made to perfection. All in all, this place was great!

Omg so good!!! Food was absolutely incredible, so tasty and quick to come out. While service was a little bit slow with our server, we understood as she seemed super busy. Our drinks were fantastic- i definitely need to go back for another key lime martini! You don't need to stay at the hotel to dine but I would definitely make a reservation at the restaurant just to be safe! The views are amazing- definitely ask to sit outside. They have heaters so you'll be okay. This is definitely getting added to my go to places in pismo! Food and drinks were 10/10

Food is excellent and varied. Service is impeccable. View is the best in Pismo. Prices are even reasonable! Great place for a party/banquet. We recently held our 50th wedding anniversary celebration and Simon, the manager could not have done a better job. A wonderful experience.

My favorite breakfast spot in Pismo. View is beautiful. Service took a while but our waiter was attentive on checking on us regularly and brining more water.

We LOVE dining here. There's a plethora of gluten free options. Clam chowder without croutons is delicious. Sesame lettuce wraps minus wontons. Pismettes , coconut shrimp tacos, beef tips, Mexican shrimp cocktail, the wedge salad, ahi salad without wontons, they have a lot of other options howevthose are my favorites. They have a clearly labeled menu with all GF or GFO which is amazing.

    Calamari and Prime Rib Sliders

Went to the Sea Venture for dinner and drinks. It was on point, as always. We started out with a couple cocktails, which Craig made fantastically. Then moved on to the bar menu and tried the Steak Nachos. Steve smothered those in cheese and the filet on the top was so melt in your mouth wonderful. After that we had the Sliders, which hubby just loves, and the calamari. I enjoyed that they fried a few jalapeño chips in there, although it required a beer to cook down my mouth. Overall, the Sea Venture is wonderful with great food, drinks and impeccable views

Our first visit on our impromptu getaway from out of state, and we arrived at about 11 o'clock, as they were opening for the day. We were seated at the best table in the house in my opinion, overlooking the ocean in the middle of these gorgeous scenic windows. I ordered the oysters Rockefeller and was served delicious fresh baked, sourdough rolls and butter just prior, so the appetizer potion was amazing. I highly recommend the oysters Rockefeller, the best I've had. Plenty of juice to sop up with your dinner rolls. The tangy garlic, Parmesan and wine flavor blended well with the large fresh oysters. I received about six or seven oysters with my meal so it was a great deal at 25.00.. Next, I opted for the crab and shrimp pasta and it was fabulous. Plenty of crab meat and perfectly seasoned large jumbo prawns. After this fabulous meal, we walked around and savored the great experience. Because we had such an amazing experience at lunch. We decided to head back for dinner that evening since it was so close. Without a reservation, we were faced with having to wait over an hour for a table, not really sure why because we saw at least five tables, two near the window, open and unoccupied for the entire time we dined at the bar area. When we first entered the bar seating area, we selected a small table off to the right, but not up against the wall as there were a table of six women, and one male already there enjoying their meal. As soon as we sat down, the ladies were so loud, and in my opinion, obnoxious, that we had to move to the bar seating at the other end. I'm a little surprised that somebody didn't go over and ask them to please hold it down. They happened to be up against the wall so the boisterous outbursts of laughter, much of which was feigned, by a few of them bounced off the wall at an ear piercing level, agitating other diners as well. They too left. Moving was a good choice because the bartender was fabulous. He really knew his stuff. Great personality as well. Very focused and efficient and ran the bar like a champ. Again we received the delicious sourdough bread and this time I ordered the jumbo prawns and scallops in lobster risotto. It was truly the best I'd had. It was now one of my favorite meals of all time. My wife enjoyed the coconut prawns special with sweet chili dip. Amazing. We ordered two lemon drop martinis again, perfectly mixed and presented. The whole meal came to about $124. Not bad for an amazing dinner for two on the water in a wonderful place. I give this place five stars because it was really no reason to subtract anything. Ambience, great food, fantastic, service was fabulous. Go here and create your own wonderful memories.

Sand Dabs- was eager to have this dish as its not a item that is usually found and the portion was generous as it was about 4 slices on top of rice pilaf and roasted veggies with a lemon Beurre blanc sauce but other than the sauce being prepared well the sand dabs were over cooked and the veggies as well. On some bites it felt a little mushy so I was disappointed and it felt like a throwback dish from the 70's. The crab cakes were ok, plenty of crab so that was a saving grace to the meal and the service was excellent and super friendly.

We had a reservation for a birthday dinner and arrived about 30 minutes early. We were told we'd be seated closer to our reservation time, which was completely understandable. However, as we waited, we watched several groups (including walk-ins without reservations) get seated before us. Even after our reservation time had passed, we had to check in with the host again before we were finally seated, despite there being plenty of empty tables. The service at the front definitely could have been handled better. The food, on the other hand, was very good with a great variety of options. I loved that they start you off with freshly made tortillas, cinnamon butter, and salsa to share. I ordered the Campechana de Mariscos, which was fresh, generously portioned, and perfect for sharing. We also had the Molcajete, and it was delicious! It came with a great mix of steak, chicken, chorizo, jumbo shrimp, nopal, and cheese. The portion was generous and easily enough for two people. Other dishes we ordered also included the pozole, chicken nachos, and lobster mac and cheese. Everything was delicious as well! The mac and cheese especially. For drinks, I tried the Golden Hour nonalcoholic cocktail, and unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. It tasted like watered-down ginger beer with no carbonation and only the faintest hint of pineapple. It was more on the bitter taste. Overall, this is a great restaurant for the ocean views and flavorful food. The portions are generous, and there's something for everyone on the menu. The only downside was the host service and the unnecessary wait despite having a reservation. I'd still come back for the food and the scenery.

Rarely do I walk away from a dining experience where the quality of service and quality of food fight to outshine one another, but this was one of those spots. Our server, a German gentleman, was the consummate professional- always friendly, never overstepping, and added such a warm dimension to our meal. The fried green tomatoes and the white beet appetizers were standouts. I especially loved the vinegary dressing on the greens of the beet dish. For mains, we got the leek olive potato pizza, the ribeye, and the wood fire poached halibut. The avocado chimichurri that accompanied the ribeye was the perfect balance, and the sautéed greens under the fish were savory with the right amount of bite. I also liked their selection of mocktails; the pink pony club was a particular standout. All this for $200 was a better price tag than I was expecting, but most importantly, it got the stamp of approval from my notoriously picky grandmother and uncle. This spot is worth the drive.
