Woolman Coatings - Before & After - Hardwood Floor Refinishing

Woolman Coatings

My experience with Zeb of Woolman was mostly a pleasant experience. When I inquired about a quote…read moreZeb was quick to come out and take a look at my cracked floors. I was looking to have my cracks patched and an epoxy coating applied just to make things look new. After a very informational meeting Zeb quoted me for the work and I felt comfortable using his services and he was able to fit me into his schedule quickly. Zeb and I arranged a meet up the following day and I paid half down for materials. Fast forward to day the work was to begin and no show from Zeb. I reach out by text and he let's me know he was unable to get his supplies because of a mix up, but assured me he would be out the following day. The next day work began and things were going along well aside from the freezing cold weather. After several days of delays because of the cold weather Zeb was able to complete my work and it looked fantastic. He told me to keep off the floors for 24 hours and not to park on it for 48 hours. I waited 48 hours to walk on it because I wanted to ensure it was dry as to not ruin the coating. I also waited a full week to park on it as a precaution. Though I did notice some bubbles and pitting which I reached out to Zeb about. He promised to be out in the next few days to fix the spots. After a few days I text him again, another delay....he is trying to finish me while in the area for another job. Continually I reached out to Zeb and everytime I was given another excuse and another delay. During this time I began parking my car in the garage. I noticed that any water left light stains in the epoxy coating. I was assured that I could rinse my floors with water by Zeb without any effect to the coating. Finally having enough of the excuses and delays I text demanding he come fix it or refund....days go by no word back from Zeb....call Zeb and straight to voicemail.....so here I am left with subpar floors, a 2 year warranty that isn't being honored and out the money I've paid for his services.

Update to my review, I had wanted to update after I first spoke with Zeb but it was a busy time in…read morelife and I honestly just forgot. Now I just want to get it updated so he'll stop "complimenting" me on Yelp. Number of stars don't change I just wanted to update so that the facts are straight because he clarified that he did finish the job, just said he would do something for me and didn't do it (which I thought was part of the job but he clarified was not). So after not hearing from Zeb for about a month and thinking he just bailed on me I came on here to leave a negative review to reflect my poor experience and almost immediately after he reaches out to me by (ironically) sending me a compliment through Yelp. In it he says he finished the job and even threw in an extra coat cause he was "being nice". I sent him a text so we could discuss it a bit more in which I apologized that I misunderstood the situation, but pointed out that he should have communicated that to me instead of ignoring me. Which takes me to the key issue: communication. Our first meeting we set up I waited around for hours and he never showed up and he never called to let me know he was running late or wasn't going to make it. I went home disappointed and then heard from him the next day apologizing that he was extremely busy and still wanted a chance. I should have said no but he came out and told me what he could do for me and he seemed like a great guy so I went with it. Now we're here, the flooring is done (and it does look good) but he said he was going to add a transition piece to make it look real nice (he actually used an expletive to describe what it does look like now that I will refrain from quoting) but he never put it in. This is what got me because he kept talking about putting it in so it would look real nice so I thought it was part of the job, turns out he was just saying things that he never intended on doing. So the job is done but how the situation played out was pretty crappy, a lot of similarities to our first arranged meeting, me waiting around and not hearing anything. I'm glad others have had a great experience but my experience has been very frustrating because of how poorly he communicated (and still communicates) with me. Original review below: As the other reviews mentioned he did a good job with the flooring, however he did not finish the job. Told me he would come back when the weather dried up to put in a transition from the outside to the garage floor, but it's been 2 months and it still isn't done. I've text him a bunch of times and it's always the same response along the lines of will try to get out there soon but the job is still unfinished. More recently I haven't been able to get a response at all.

His character is full of integrity and his word is like a word set in stone. Never going against his word and always on the customers side. He sets up dust free equipment on every job while sanding and his installation teams are very detailed and great craftsmen! When I first received his quote for the project I didn't blink twice I was ecstatic! He was very reasonable and helped me to get some other things wrapped up in my project! I had a friend who went with another company but honestly until the end of my life I will be fully backing this company! Telling everyone about his great work! Thank you Sosh

We had purchased our laminate flooring from the local Home Depot store when we realized the labor…read morecosts for installing their own floors was bananas. So I embarked on searching for a skilled and fast flooring installer I could not only afford but trust. Although I hadn't got anything to go off of Quality Flooring N' More when I found their business listing off the web, I was more than pleased to deal with them. From the moment Sasha and his team started the job to completion, they were unrelentingly prompt, fair, and competitively priced. Other highly ranked installers I'd inquired, had their bids double the rate of Sasha's. While we not only got a better bid with QFN, their craftsmanship was beyond par. If you're looking to hire an independent flooring specialist for flooring install, do consider giving Quality Flooring N' More (Edmonds) a call. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.:))
