We bought Engineered Hardwood flooring for new house from Lumber Liquidators and they contracted out to Magic Hardware for the install . The installers were at our new house the day after I called them and the two installers worked for almost 11 hours and got the entire house, 1500 square feet of flooring installed. They were courteous and professional, and cleaned up all of the mess before they left. We would definitely use their service again ! read more

After good reviews I picked Magic Hardwood to do our floor in a house we just moved into. The workman who can todo the work as 18 years old but said he had years of experience. He was friendly and polite. He did fine laying downing the flooring over our old hardwood floor. It was a 2 day job and both days he came much later than he told us he would. Towards the end of day 2 he was running out of time to finish. He was also not very good with the quality of the finishing. He had to cut a couple of floor registers because the trim he put in was too wide for the registers to fit back in place. The edge was jagged and he tried to cover it up with caulking. It looked very messy. Because he was running so late a couple of older employees came in to help him. They were good at cutting the angles on the trim. There was a large gap between the end of the floor planks and the door going into the garage. They filled the space with clear silicone. It looked very messy and as time went on it looked dirty because it was sticky. When the owner asked for final payment I paid immediately. He also asked if I was happy with the job. It told him about the registers and the gap by the garage door. He said not to worry and that he would make it "perfect". Over the next 2 1/2 months Dymitry, the owner said they would be there soon to fix it. They never followed through. Finally an appointment and time was set but once again they failed to show up on time. I waited over 2 hours. Dymitry always texted that he would be coming so I was very surprised that the person who showed up to make it "perfect" was the same young guy who had made it messy in the first place. He did smooth out and paint the registers. The gap was filled with black silicone and still looks messy and unfinished. I would not recommend this company. read more

Magic Hardwood just completed our master bathroom remodel. Dmitriy came out on a Friday and we had an estimate by Monday morning for the project. Their skilled workers, quality work, attention to detail, and the fact that they're good listeners made for a successful project. Although it turned out to be mostly a one-man project, thank you Taras, Paul and his team supported each other and showed up on site when necessary. Work included removal of a Jacuzzi tub, all surrounding tile on the walls and floor, removal and replacement of the toilet, installing wallboard, modifying plumbing and an electrical outlet, laying floor tile, and building out a custom shower and a linen closet. I reached out to this company after my friend had her entire home done by them. They have a huge space and went with their own product. I have the same product (LVP) and after many home remodels I just didn't have it in me to do more flooring. This company was quick to respond, and got the job done in under 2 hours. It was a rectangular space about 23x15. This was fairly priced and no sudden changes during installation. I used another company recently for my upstairs living room (it needed leveling and was somewhat odd shaped so I went with a pro there too), and they kept charging me for random small things that more than doubled my original quote. I am actually going to use Dmitry's guys again to complete my bathroom floor since I'm on the homestretch of my remodel and they did a quick and fabulous job on the rest of the spaces flooring. Magic Hardware did not follow all city guidelines and rules for heated flooring while laying the floors. They did not have a step in the process to get the electrical wires inspected that go underneath the floors first before laying the floors. This is a huge No No as per city council home electrical, mechanical and building construction guidelines and rules regulations. This caused massive safety risk . This is a request to contractors to follow city regulations as they have been in place to ensure houses or upgrades are safe for people. read more

A couple years ago they refinished our floors, patched up some holes, and replaced a floor in some other rooms. Good: The floors they refinished look absolutely amazing. Before was old and dingy, and covered in carpet for 40 years. Now it's like... just beautiful. The patch jobs they did were completely seamless. I mean, like, you cannot tell they even did patches. They matched 100 year old wood and interlaced it incredibly well. There was a part of the house that had tile over the hardwood. They demolished the tile and refinished the hardwood under it, and it's perfect and seamless. There were some banister rails that needed to be replaced. We called them and they came back and did it with no complaint or fee. Not so good: They used oak instead of fir in the newly finished floor, and the fir would've looked so much better. I wish they had said how much nicer it would've looked. The rest of the house has both fir and oak, but we didn't know what the difference was. They were some spots that could've been patched that they didn't say anything. Pretty small, but just, ya know, say something, even if you want to charge us for it. It was not cheap, but I can't say I regret using them. read more

I can't enough good things about this company. They came out to give us a quote, broke out the quote in multiple pieces which was presumably annoying but no questions asked, and worked with us to figure out what we could afford in terms of material and staining in light of what we wanted (which is a light wood look for a basement apartment). We went with unfinished red oak hardwood that the Magic team is installing, sanding, and staining. They were able to put us in their schedule within a week, even accommodated our slight delay with stairs. We got through the install today, and the floors are so beautiful I wouldn't even mind if we stopped before sanding and staining, ha. A big thank you to Demetri and his team, we are so happy. Had some work done on a water damaged wood floor. It was important that the new floor blended in with the existing flooring. The crew did a great job and they answered all my questions along the way. I did find that I was the one reaching out to Dmitri regarding when work was going to start because I had to plan around things. We recently had our oak floor refinished by Dmitry's crew at Magic Hardwood. We were completely blown away by how beautiful the floor looks after their work! We were expecting that the boards adjacent to our back and front porches would need to be replaced as they had gotten quite dark and discolored from water damage after 17 years of raising two boys. The Magic Hardwood team assured us that they could sand these floor boards back to perfection and they were right! The workers were respectful, on time and efficient. They even fixed an a couple of areas in our son's room which felt 'soft' when walking on. We worries about rot beneath, but the workers explained that the base boards just were not correctly nailed down by the previous crew and they took care of the issue as no extra expense to us. We were assigned Magic Hardwood through LL Flooring. We did about 1500 sqft of hardwood replacing carpet and some tile. Pros: - The installers were very skilled. They were professional, treated our furniture with care, and the floors look great. Cons: - Pricey. We paid more than other installers because of the LL markup and response time (other contractors are booked much further out) - Project management fell short of our expectations. One day the on site crew told us they had to pause our project for 5 days starting the next day. We had to negotiate to get them back on the project and still only got 50% of the team for the next two days. This meant the home was dusty and incomplete for 2 weekends rather than 1. Note: LL suggested we live on site during the project to be able to comment on details throughout the install. - Planning was a short-sighted. Our home has an added-on section of two rooms that we knew were at 3/4" higher level. Despite pointing this out, the individual that scoped the project didn't get ahead of this in planning. The team lost a day midway through install because they didn't have the materials ready to level the floor. read more

The 2 installers came in and ran us through the process installing new LVP flooring. When they were finished, they left the mess and didn't even sweep up, saying they forgot their broom. The nails on the transition strips popped up. The glue is showing on the transition strips. The strip around the bathtub is not all the way glued to the flooring. There was left over materials that could have been returned for a refund, but they are nowhere to be found. I've called several times, but no response. Me and my brother were in the market to replace our floors in our home, about 1600sqft. We went with a compressed bamboo. We recently had new floors installed in our laundry room due to minor water damage. We had entertained quotes from three local companies, one being Lumber Liquidators. Since Lumber Liquidators doesn't actually do the work, they contract with local installers. Through them we were put in touch with Paul from Magic Hardwoods. From the first meeting, my husband and I instantly liked him. He was friendly, informative and really helpful in working with us to pick out the best material for the laundry room. After we received the three quotes, we decided on using Lumber Liquidators and Magic Hardwoods. They weren't the cheapest, but we really liked Paul and felt comfortable moving forward. Paul helped us to decide to pick vinyl plank flooring. We went to Lumber Liquidators to pick out what option we liked. Once we decided on the flooring, Paul submitted a parts order to Lumber Liquidators and about a week later after everything had arrived, the installer came to our house to do the installation. SInce the room was small, we only needed one installer. He also was very friendly, easy to talk to and completed the room in about 3 hours. We only had one minor issue in which Lumber Liquidators forgot to order a piece of transition. It wasn't a big deal though, Paul explained that once the piece came in he would send his installer back out to finish the job. About 1.5 weeks later, the transition piece came in and about a week after that Paul sent out the installer to finish it up. The floor is absolutely beautiful. We are loving it! Everyone at Magic Hardwoods has been fantastic. You can tell they take a huge amount of pride in what they do because it shows in their work. I originally had a consultation with majic hardwood and decided to go with someone else to save on money. Let me tell you, you get what you pay for! The guy NOT with majic hardwood was pure LAZY who got barely anything done with 3days of work and was messy and extremley unprofessional. So after realizing I had a made a mistake and with my place a mess with pulled up carpet for over a wk, I decided to call Majic hardwood and do another consultation. I fired the other guy on a wed, had a consultation with Dimitri on Thursday (which by the way was excellent) and had all the hardwood installed by the time I got home on fri. evening.
