This location has it all!! I started going to Seattle Sun Tan/Sunlight Spa a couple of years ago. It was right around the time this location rebranded. I have tried sun-bed levels 3-5, the infrared sauna, red light and blue light therapy, the cocoon (my favorite), and the versa spa spray tanning booths. All of their services are consistent and you will know exactly what you can expect every time you come in. I love that this location remains a tanning facility first. All of the rooms at the front are for tanning beds and booths where the back is it's own tranquil spa. When you walk into the spa you not only leave the tanning salon but the rest of the world at the door. You can enter your room for treatment and one of the girls will usually go back with you to make sure you have all the towels, Bluetooth headphones, and essential oils your heart desires. After your session you can stick around for tea or water and relax in the peaceful lounge. The staff here is some of the best in Bellevue. They are professional, helpful, friendly, attentive, and honestly they are great at sales (don't worry they won't make you buy some thing you don't want!). From start to finish you will be glad you came to Seattle Sunlight Spa. What more could you ask for! read more

I will give them negative five stars. They don't know what they are doing or they just don't care. I got a almost blind left eye and right eye which will quickly as bad as the left one. I went to Seattle Sun Tan ( Bellevue Main Street store) for a two week blue light facial treatment. They were so careless or busy in chatting, They didn't give me eye goggles to protect my eyes except the first and last time. ( I went there 9 times) , which directly damaged my eyes. Now I can't drive or work or read. Glands were destroyed more than 50%, and need 1. Débridement and lipiflow. 2. Cataract surgeries for both eyes 3. Other potential damages will show up in the next years. Tried to contact Seattle Sun Tan , no one want to take responsibility or say sorry . Nothing except denying. See you in the court. read more

I have been a member at my fair share of tanning salons across the country, and this place is by far my favorite. Their facility is always clean, great beds, and most importantly- the staff is so wonderful. They always greet you with a smile and try to build a relationship with you. I have been that annoying person that has gone in 5 minutes before closing and they still treated me with great respect. Unfortunately, I no longer live in the Bellevue area and this is by far one of the places I miss the most about Seattle. read more

Holy guacamole, Haley and Savannah put on a clinic for me. The two lovely ladies bypassed a system malfunction to get my membership locked and loaded, up sold me on a stellar tanning package, while multitasking and recommending which tanning lotions to use based off skin type and preference. 10/10 experience, we had a couple chuckles throughout the process, 10/10 service as I was in and out in a jiffy, and 10/10 customer care. I didn't know this place turned into a spa/ tanning salon until just recently, and let me just say I was shocked by the variety in services and how nice the establishment looked. Had a very friendly attendant help accommodate me in the spa and show me their services. He was very kind in taking his time to explain everything thoroughly and set me up. The services themselves are effective, my skin has been slowly clearing up with the blue light and my dis-pigmentation has been getting better. Very impressed overall! read more

I love this salon, especially after the remodel! They offer a lot more services than just tanning now and the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. I used to come here to tan in the beds but I've now started trying their Light Therapy services and I'm loving them so far, especially the MyLipo LED Body Sculpting! It's definitely unique and you get to sit in a massage chair during the service which makes it super relaxing. They also have a great skincare line in the store that they have offered to educate me on because it pairs with the light therapy services, but I'm waiting until I use up my current products before looking into what they have. There is also a free parking lot and even when the designated Light Spa spots are full you can park in any open spot as long as you aren't staying more than 1-2 hours. Overall a great place and I would highly recommend it! read more

If you will freeze your account front desk won't tell you that they will be charging your credit card on file fees every month !!! Also if you have left money on your account they won't refund it to you if you are cancelling your account . I never realized how great this place was until I moved away - and I haven't been able to find anything that even comes close to it. All of the rooms and spray tan machines were always kept clean and spotless, the machines were always of the newest models, and the people at the front desk were always friendly and happy. I was very excited to try this place for a spray tan before my trip but was very disappointed after. I get spray tans rarely but always before vacation. When I checked in I was quickly upgraded to "the best spray tan, all organic and will last 2 weeks", this was unfortunately not true in the slightest. I followed the instruction sheet down to the minute and even spent extra time "drying" while in the spa and my spray tan was off and streaky the next day. I've had my share of spray tans and this was just awful. The girl who gave me the spray tan was putting it on uneven and kept going over certain areas and not going over others. Again, I've had enough spray tans to know better. At check out I was quickly turned down from using a $20 off coupon (see attached) cause it only works for packages which I did not want and had to say that 4 times to the front desk and once I denied the package I was told I could use the coupon. That's fine, but I'm sorry $75 for a 2 week spray tan that didn't last a day does not sit well with me. I called and asked a manager if I could come back in to get another one or touched up or anything they could do and was quickly turned down and disrespected. I explained I waited 3 hours to shower (like the sheet said and just rinsed with water) and that after rinsing off in the late morning again (like the sheet said) it was off and I was streaky. They did not care, they kept saying "this happens", no it doesn't it only happens when the products aren't good. I will not be returning and will be requesting my payment back (again) because this is ridiculous. I've been in customer service my whole life and this is an example of how not to treat your clients. read more

BEWARE of their membership deal because in order to cancel that you have to make an appearance in the store AND make it in about 2 weeks before it charges your card again so that "corporate has time to process it". At this point I wasn't really upset with their bushiness, they seemed like a company that would make you do a run-around like that so I came in, signed the cancellation paper AND even paid for an additional month that I wash't going to use. Fast forward 5 months. I notice the membership wasn't cancelled so I called them and after about a week of back and forth, I got corporates phone number. Come to find out "Corporate" is just ONE girl name Jesse. So your big bad corporate needs 2 weeks to cancel my membership, I would still love an explanation as to why it takes someone 2 weeks to cancel a credit card payment? But moving on. Because I didn't have a copy of my cancellation paperwork (from 5 months ago) they weren't going to refund my money. She was even the one that noted that I hand't used any of their salons for about 5-6 months and had a credit. So then why is it so difficult to refund somebody their money for services they clearly didn't use? I get your in the business of making money but you should also CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS because this is one that will NEVER be back to Seattle Sun Tan. Sure, if I had a membership knowingly, I would use it but your staff seems incompetent enough to process paperwork and I feel like i'm not the only person you guys have scammed into paying not just 1 additional month but MULTIPLE. I know I am partly to blame because I didn't double check their work and check my account at the end of the month but I have multiple EFT accounts and its very easy to miss a $25 charge. Wow, what a weird place. Granted, I've never been to a tanning salon and really have no interest in fake-n-baking myself to the color of a roasted marshmallow, so I'm sure I'm not the target demographic. But still... weird. I can only speak for the retail store section up front, because I had a $20 gift card that needed to be spent, or else I would never have gone in there (or even known it existed). It's difficult to find, without eye-catching signage, and while there is garage parking around the corner, this isn't immediately apparent from the street. The inside is tastefully decorated, I guess, with high ceilings, lots of brown, and hardwood floors. A small waiting area has a selection of magazines and couches where you can wait comfortably while preparing to give yourself skin cancer. There were two girls on duty, and both I and another customer who came in after me had to stand and wait a few minutes before someone showed up at the counter to help us. Most of what they have in their small store section is tanning lotions and bronzers, so there isn't a lot to choose from for non-tanners. The girl who helped me was friendly and nice, but obviously baffled by my emphatic lack of interest in being golden-brown. I ended up choosing a Hempz SPF 30 sunscreen, but I didn't see that the different SPF levels were different prices, so I actually had to pay a few bucks extra for my "free" product. Bleh. Since it normally retailed for $22, I guess I got a deal, but I don't feel like I did. I stopped in on an early Saturday evening, and was surprised by the steady traffic. While I was browsing, I saw a few scarily orange girls and one guy with white-blond hair and fake-brown skin strolled in, and all I could think was, "What a douchebag." I'll keep my clammy, ghost-white Seattle pallor any day. read more

I had a gift card, too, just like Stephanie (Holidate with the Girls, right Steph??) so I went in to get a spray tan, since my pallor was starting to resemble the skin on an uncooked chicken thigh. Having never had a spray tan before and wanting to not screw it up, I asked lots of questions including, "will I be orange tomorrow?" The girl who helped me answered all my inquiries patiently, helped me choose a non-orange color (which includes a separate "glaze"! Who knew the world of tanning was so elaborate??) and finally showed me how to use the Mystic tanning booth and how to respond to its audio cues for standing and turning. The fact that I still screwed it up once I got in there has nothing to do with her, however. read more

Oh wow I totally thought I had reviewed this place already. The staff here are super nice and the facility is comfortable and clean. Sure they try to get you to buy packages and upsell you on products, but that's par for the course at *any* tanning place so it's expected. The client account system they use is connected to the company's other locations, so you have the benefit of going elsewhere if you're closer under the same account. It also keeps a record of what your preferences are so you dont have to do too much fumbling around at the beginning trying to remember what you got the last time you came in. A bit of an awkward location (who does *anything* on main in this part of bellevue haha), but that isn't a big deal. read more

I went in for a spray tan tonight at 8pm. The blonde girl behind the counter was rude and obviously doesn't like her job. I went in for a machine spray tan. She said she had to clean the room. She comes back and says it's ready. No, it wasn't. Cream everywhere, a used shower cap and soiled black towel are on the ground. Smears and garbage everywhere. Just nasty and lazy. read more

I have had horrible experiences at other tanning places, mostly because of the staff. Tanning is a "unique" experience... it's really strange and people are bound to have a lot of questions, everyone sees your skin afterall. I've done spray tanning a few times but I decided that I wanted to try the tanning beds. I'm as fair as they get, seriously. People usually comment on my fair skin before anything else. I did a lot of research online about the pros and cons and decided to try for myself. The staff at the Bellevue location are AMAZING. In general I have a hard time finding good customer service in Bellevue, most people blow me off. But I just love there staff here. They answer every single question I have with much patience and kindness, they really are passionate about educating their customers. It's kind of embarassing going in to a place like this and having NEVER used a tanning bed/know nothing about tanning in general and you have to ask all the obvious eye-rolling questions. But they have always been really sweet to me. And they recognize me! And the shop is just breathtaking! There's a large amount of beds and everything is so sterile and beautiful. I love tanning here, I always feel really comfortable. They are really easy to locate too! Their prices are on the higher end but nothing unaffordable. Like tattoos, you get what you pay for. Parking was a bit difficult but must have been the time of day ( lots of trucks and vans parked obviously hitting up lunch across the street instead of tanning but using the designated spots) have never had to wait and the girls are friendly. Love the versa and this one never seems to have the issues like factoria ( runs out of bronze, or simply stops spraying ) good salon especially if you are looking for a lasting spray tan. try the versa bronze 2. I love this location. I've been going to them on and off since they opened about 10 years ago. I sometimes stray to desert sun or tropical tan but I always return. The service is great, the people are nice, it's always clean and relaxing and parking is easy. The sales talks are very minimal and pretty low pressure compared to other salons. This is my go-to place for giving myself cancer. The membership/packages are confusing but I know that ~$29 is taken out of my bank account every month, and I still occasionally have to pay more money into my SST account to use the higher level beds that I prefer. Anyway SST's best feature is that you can go to any of it's locations, and it has a lot! I like this location because it's really big, there's usually no wait, and the girls are friendly all the time. The level 4 and 5 beds are usually the most popular, and I like to indulge in them once and a while. The rooms are large and there is usually music playing. I mostly use the level 3 beds though, and they are kind of strange. They're all the way in the back of the long, dark, scary hall and it's really quiet back there. I feel a little uncomfortable using the music (but I do it anyway!) For anyone looking to start tanning I would recommend come here. They try their best to explain things clearly. Though a year later I still don't fully understand... Some downsides are that some of the rooms are a little run down, with no mirrors/hangers. But the beds are always in good shape and that's what counts! *note on parking: if the spots are all full, DON'T GO DOWN INTO THE GARAGE! there's no parking down there and it's a huge pain to try and turn around read more

The new spa suite is amazing! I was able to utilize two services in 30 minutes. I burned fat in my target areas with the My Lipo System and cleared bacteria on my face to eliminate acne with Blue Light Stem. How convenient is that! Also the staff is friendly and always helpful. read more

They advertise for $24.99 a month, but with tax and everything, it ends up being $29/month... which in reality isn't that bad. The girls that work here are always nice and usually pretty quick to get you into the bed you want. I love this location because they have a ton of beds and the wait is never too long. The versaspa is expensive but it is the best sunless tanning spay I've tried. I usually just walk, but they do have 4 or 5 parking spots in the attached garage. Parking is free~ but sometimes they do get filled and you can only park in the "seattle sun tan" designated spots. read more
