Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! And the food. It was like going to a super fun wedding minus the formality of it. The owner was there as well: super passionate and shared the story of how she bought this space sight unseen: took a long process in turning this into a gorgeous space that it is now. It was super cool! And the food!! They allow outside catering too but the in-house catering: Kaspar catering : baos topped with micro greens and mint. Steamed to serve! Poke rolls :delicious! Panna cotta : in a cup! Lisa Dupar catering: this one was fantastic as I've had a chance to taste their food in the past at a wedding. The gorgeous cupcakes, macarons, molasses cookies and stunning cake. All were so pretty! Mark ryan wine! I mean, what's not to love as it's one of the wineries I frequent in Woodinville wine country. My pup baci's favorite too. Luxe Photo Booth: this one was so fun! The 360 Photo Booth!! I've seen them in Time Squares recently as well as at a valentines event. But this one was so much more fun as I didn't have to wait in line or fight the crowd for it. The person that was running it was super friendly and helpful too. The jazz musician was pretty rad too. And they had valet!! Butler Valet: All the friendly guys in uniform waiting for you as you arrived during rush hour in downtown: pretty darn cool. All events should be this cool. I'm only going to events with valet from now on! Ok thanks. Just visited from NJ on the east coast. First trip since the pandemic. This Marriott is exceptional. I am Ambassador Elite but it would not have mattered. The conceirge, all the staff, every single one makes you feel so welcome, are so knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and truly go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. Any recommendation, Jeff the conceirge gives you I would follow without hesitation, he is spot on. The salon, places to see, best routes to walk to downtown and airport advice were invaluable. The salon he recommended was incredible. Great experience, very talented pros and Ryan whom did my hair made me look like a million bucks. The food at this hotel is very, very good. The views are worth the stairs you need to take up to downtown and Pike's market. Seattle was doing a lot of construction and I couldn't use the one elevator but the location on the water makes it all worth it. I spent 232 staying at Marriott's in 2022, the beds here were the most comfortable I have slept on in a Marriott. Wish I had that bed here, it was that comfortable. Their bath products smell amazing and seem high quality. Being Seattle the hotel coffee is delicious. The Olympic Sculpture Park is just down the water to your right and the aquariam and pier just down to the left. There are a few sets of stairs up to downtown or Pikes market are a short walk either to your right or your left. Very easy location to walk to most things from. The light rail and buses will get you just about everywhere you would like to go. Seattle is beautiful anytime of the year but at Christmas is beautifully lit up everywhere. The Marriott Waterfront is a definite must stay. read more

My family and I were in Seattle for a cruise and stayed at this lovely hotel right on the water. When I called the hotel for transportation, they were very helpful in getting me the phone number for Seattle Shuttle (who provided excellent transportation as well). We were greeted at the front desk by Lance who was super friendly and helpful in getting us signed up for the cruise transportation the next day. He got us checked in very quickly and while the lobby was very busy with people either leaving or going on another cruise, we were quickly on the way to our very nice room. We liked the ability to walk to waterfront restaurants as well as the market. We wished we had planned to stay again after our cruise! The next day checkout was very quick (again Lance was super efficient) and we were met by Brandon from Seattle Shuttle and taken to our cruise pier. While our van was full to the brim, Brandon got all our luggage in and took us to the pier in very short order.. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Seattle. If you are going on a cruise, there is even one pier (not ours sadly) right across from the hotel! read more

We originally had a reservation at a nearby Kimpton, but due to unforeseen issues, we were unable to stay there. The Kimpton team kindly reached out to the Seattle Marriott Waterfront, and from the moment we arrived, we were treated with such kindness and care that any frustration from earlier completely melted away. Charlie at the front desk was absolutely amazing--warm, helpful, and genuinely adorable in the best way. Not only did she accommodate us on short notice, but also upgraded our room with a beautiful view and added a few thoughtful perks that made us feel truly welcomed. The location is unbeatable--right on the waterfront and close to everything you'd want to see in Seattle. The restaurant onsite was fantastic, with both delicious food and great service. Our room was spacious, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and professional. Truly, not a single complaint--just gratitude for turning a stressful situation into a peaceful and memorable stay. Thank you, Seattle Marriott Waterfront. We'll absolutely be back! read more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. What was advertised as $315/night turned into $1,267.12 per night thanks to taxes, surcharges, marijuana-smoking valets, grift and the types of shenanigans you only hear stories about from people who mistakenly traveled to war-torn parts of Africa and Eastern Europe. Yes, I'm talking about the Seattle Marriott Waterfront. This hotel has turned into a nexus of grift and fraud. The staff are so bureaucratized that when you try to complain, they look at you like a sedated cow, pretend to listen, and then say insane things like, "that part of the hotel is operated by a contractor that has nothing to do with this hotel." DO NOT STAY HERE. I have been an SPG/Marriott Bonvoy member for over 20 years and have never seen a grift machine this severe since I stayed at a now-shuttered W Hotel in Chicago. The renovation was nice, but this place is now run by feral grifters. If you stay here, you will probably wish you had just stayed home. read more

If I could rate this hotel a negative star I would. I checked in using the mobile app in the morning. While on a plane to Seattle, I noticed my room had been changed from a suite with waterfront view to one with partial water view. I was able call from the air and was told they made a mistake and comped my room, then I spoke with someone who I assume was a manger and they told me there was an "engineering" issue. Fine. I would get a king bed with partial view. A couple of hours later and our room was yet again downgraded and this time it was to two double beds and no water view but a view of the parking lot. Then a roll away bed was supposed to be delivered to the room ahead of time and it wasn't. It was midnight by now. Someone showed up with a roll away bed but with no blankets. It was about an hour until they delivered a bed that my toddler could finally sleep on, but it was as comfortable as a prison cot. Don't stay here. read more

I WILL NEVER STAY AT A MARRIOTT, AGAIN...EVER!!! Stayed there and had a good experience, used member card # when booked room. For the last 2 months and automated women calls me 3-5x week on my business cell phone, stating she's calling based on a deal Marriott has for me for being a GREAT customer. 3rd time in my life I've stayed with this chain & 50+ yrs old. Beautiful location but not exactly waterfront... more like across the street from the water. Rooms are like typical Marriott rooms, more traditional. First night we got here apparently they were sold out, so they sent us to one of their sister hotels with all expenses paid for the Night with free parking. They said they had 24 room service, but it was more like 4 things for the late night. I like to get hotels with options but it wasn't very pleasing lol. Wished they had more options. The view was still beautiful, except we had the other side of the hotel blocking most our view of the water. Bed wasn't the most comfy, but they have options to give you a comfy rest. As a corporate event planner, I research and connect with thousands of hotels each year and I must take a moment to say how much I have enjoyed working with Monica Ackerman at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront. It is rare that I am able to experience such attention to our very specific needs and customizing the event accordingly instead of being told how I should run our event. I was told that I had a $10 credit to use in the restaurant Tulio or on lobby snacks. What I didn't know was that it would've been deducted from a $100 deposit, and not applicable as a standalone credit. Fine, whatever, again. Had I known that though, I would've gone to a restaurant or bar that had TV's so I could watch the World Cup match that was going on at the time. There were no TV's at all in the attached Tulio restaurant. So I just sat, doodling on my phone, in old wooden decor of the restaurant staring back at me. Pivoting to the room now, it was weird. My TV didn't work but it was only a one night stay. So again, fine, whatever. My bathroom was big, bright, modern, and clean, but stepping back into the bedroom felt like time travelling to the 1960's with dated furniture and decor. I get it: it's "vintage," but quite jarring to see. Saying all this, the two saviors to this Kimpton were the bed and pillows! I like a stiffer pillow and mattress because I'm a weirdo like that, but I would've given this Kimpton on 5th a 1-star had it not been for the comfy bed and pillow. Really unforgettable on everything from customer service to hotel look and feel. But would I return here again? Yeah, if the price is right. Great location too. Otherwise, go somewhere else.

It was only a 23 minute walk to the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass. Those were our main attractions and we walked to both. The downside in my books is they don't have a free breakfast, they did have a restaurant with limited hours. Prior to our arrival I was emailed a "Start Check in now" email. It said "It's time to check i and choose your room." I clicked on the button to "Start Check in now." I chose my room on fourth floor and completed the process. All I needed to do was get my key card activated and I would be able to go directly to my room as advertised. But as it turns out the key card never got activated. I ended up checking in at the front desk and they asked me to confirm my credit card, which I already did on the app when I checked in. I ended up having to check in twice. That seems redundant. Why did I check in on line? It was a total waste of time, especially since I had to go look up my password to log into the app. In addition I didn't get the room I picked out. I requested a room on the 4th floor away from the elevator. I got assigned 822 right next to the elevator. Just to let you know the room was really quiet. We didn't hear the dinging of the elevator or people chatting in the hallway. Other than the above confusion checking in was smooth at around 9:30pm on Friday, September 17. Parking on the other hand was an ordeal. They did show us a photo of how to get into the garage, but it was still confusing as it was after hours and you had to drive on the wrong side of the driveway to open the gate. I would avoid parking.if you can. It's such a hassle. Also if you are parking, keep driving down till you see the sign for the hotel and then park there so you're next to the hotel elevator. There are 2 elevators down there and only one is for the hotel and it's the 2nd one going down there ramp. Parking is also difficult to find in Seattle and it's expensive. We went to Pike Place Market and all the street parking was taken. We were blessed and we found a paid open air parking lot so parking was taken care of. It was $28 for 2 hours. Expensive. Once we checked in we went directly up to our room and dropped off our luggage so we could have dinner in the Hotel Restaurant .We arrived at the Restaurant prior to closing at 10pm and they said they were already closed. That was frustrating as we really wanted a bite to eat before heading to bed. Instead we had to head out to the great outdoors of Seattle and forge for food. We ended up going to Pizza Mart down the street. It's around a 3 minute walk so it wasn't bad. We got the calzone and were satisfied and then headed back. It was a bit chilly when we arrived so we pumped the temperature up to 72 and it was a good temperature to sleep. We had to kept touching the temperature gage as it kept getting stuffy then it would get cold and then stuffy again. Customer service was great. The front was so helpful and nice. We were running out of toilet paper and needed one more twoel so we called the front desk and they immediately brought up two rolls and two sets of towels. The beds were really comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom is a good size. It came with bar soap for the vanity. It was great for washing our hands. In the shower it came with all the products attached to the wall. I still used the bar soap in the shower this time. It worked well. The only issue was the shower didn't drain properly. It was really gross. The tv had a good variety of shows on and was great to unwind to at the end of the day. We had a office chair and a lounge chair to relax in. No couch or loveseat. We used the closet and dresser for all of our clothing. It was great to hang up our jackets and store our luggage in the closet and I used the dresser for all my other stuff. When my husband's not here I like to keep all my clothing stored in an organized matter in my suitcase. It works perfectly for me.

Check in was a breeze and we got into our room pretty quickly The location is great right in the middle of Downtown Seattle not too far from the Space Needle while were were here for our visit got to walk over there very convenient Pikes was just down the street so very helpful getting around to all the spots The rooms were super nice, we had a corner room with view of Space needle & it was amazing. Very cool to see from the room The room itself was not super large or spacious but we made it work for our stay. If stayed longer the smaller room would have been a bit more challenging The staff there always helped with any questions, hotel itself very clean & modern There's a cool rooftop bar, at night the views are killer well worth it to check out & grab a bite or a few drinks They had a robot deliver food which was pretty cool to experience. We also ate at the restaurant downstairs which was pretty good quality as well Overall would definitely make our way back to this location was very satisfied for the price & overall experience

The room itself was pretty small but they tried to make the best use of the space (besides the 2 mini refrigerators lol). The bathroom was a decent size despite the overall size of the room and I absolutely loved the shower. Checkin process was ok as there was an issue with the key card machine and instead of providing a high level overview of the property they provide you with a double sided one-pager. The hotel is literally located on the Amazon campus which made for an interesting vibe when exploring the surrounding area, but Pike Place Market is about a walkable mile away so that was definitely a plus. We only stayed one night as we were heading to the port to board or cruise ship - but one night was perfect because anything beyond that the size of the room would've become annoying.

There are also some great restaurants basically right outside the hotel. We tried Lola, Serious Pie and Neb. All were good, but Neb was our favorite, maybe some of the best Italian food we've had. All in all, a great stay and we'd definitely come back.

Wow, what an excellent stay…read more Stayed for two nights on a little food trip up from Portland, and this place is great. Centrally-located, super quick walk to the market and a great lobby bar and cafe. Service: We did book through the third-party, but the hotel took care of us and more to make sure everything was right or better than expected. Super great people at the front, great recommendations and they are professional, but and I love this, also talk to you like a real person--humor if you want to have a good time. Valet is excellent, but no onsite self-park option. Not a problem. Rooms: Thanks for the upgrade my man at check in. I love when if something is available they throw you a favor just to make your day, as we were three folks sharing a double queen. Clean, nicely appointed, comfy bed. Water pressure is a little low on the shower, but you're staying in a charming place, so not an issue just info. Mini-bar is a fair price for the convenience. I love that the doors all work, sounds weird, but I hate having to go downstairs when a key card just won't do its job. Super quiet!!! Like, no street noise, double pane windows--yes! Location: Can't be better for the price. Side note, while I left my fur baby at home, they LOVE doggies here! Free bones, water and loves in the lobby. If you have a fur friend, book now! Even met a sweet local whose dog just comes by to say hey to the folks and get a treat. Lovely. But, not loud or a puppy palooza just a super pet-friendly place.

The hotel is five stories and had two elevators. Unfortunately only one was working and the waits for it got ridiculous. This needs to be remedied. I would normally give this HI Express 5 stars.
