This is how much I trust Dr. Suver. Every time my partner and I consider buying a new home, we pull up Google maps and run my "ultimate test": how far will this house be from Dr. Suver. Dr Suver is one of the best humans I know. Seriously. I just came back from a 10 day vipassana meditation retreat. For those of you who don't know, your day starts when you wake up at 4 am and ends at 9 pm. Most of the day you're sitting and meditating. No phones. No talking. Naturally, I was super nervous about it in general because of all the chronic pain I have day to day that builds up in my neck and spine. If I sit the wrong way, it ends up feeling like it's burning between my vertebrae and my muscles and connective tissue. There are times the pain is so much and leads to anxiety and depression, but seeing Dr Suver for the past two years is what has gotten me through most of it. So the week prior I had a mysterious flare up on my right rib which ended up traveling and locking up my entire neck. I was in sooooo much pain. I reached out to dr Suver (who was on vacation with his family mind you) about my concerns and not only did he give me a bunch of suggestions... he reached out a day later to tell me he set something up with a colleague who has his own private practice. He even called in a favor negotiated a special rate since my rates are much lower at Dr Suver's. Also.. my adjustments require laser precision. I'm one of the more extreme clients who can't just get adjusted by any 'ol chiropractor. He explained to his colleague exactly how to adjust me so I wouldn't have to. Not that I would know. Seriously he is so intuitive. I can go in with pain and guarding and within seconds, he knows exactly where I need an adjustment. I just cannot praise him enough. You have no idea how much that means as a person who has chronic pain. I still had some residual pain on my neck but it was enough to make me feel comfortable going and sitting. It's rare to meet businesses who continually care for you after the initial honeymoon first impression phase. I think I've been with Dr Suver for two years now and I'm not looking back! Seriously. Absolutely would recommend Dr. Suver to anyone thinking about chiropractic medicine and manipulation. Dr. Suver is incredible due to his genuine efforts to listen and adjust accordingly to each patients' specific condition, week by week. On weeks when things were rough or I was in a weak state, he was great about backing off and only ramping it up when appropriate. He did an excellent job gauging when my body and mind were able to take heavy or light work. Initially Dr. Suver did the proper groundwork with verbal, physical, and imaging diagnostics. He did a great job of walking me through the process. I did find relief and aid from his adjustments as well as the massage therapist who is a part of SCLC (Trevor). That said, many weeks it was extremely intense and exhausting as my body reacted to the adjustments. Dr. Suver was clear and honest from the beginning saying that the fairly severe issues with my atlas (connection area between top of spine and skull) and lower lumbar could be improved but potentially not solved completely but he would do his best. I appreciated that honesty and that clear expectations were set. No fairy tales. We agreed on a 6 months timeline of treatments to try to make it work. After the 6 months I stopped seeing Dr. Suver due to the cost struggling to cover things out of pocket and it seemed we had reached a wall of improvement. As opposed to the horror stories you may hear of providers trying to continuously tie a patient into further work, Dr. Suver understood the position and things finished well without any aggressive selling attempts. That said, I could tell Dr. Suver genuinely wished he could treat me longer because he wanted to solve the problem completely! A real class act. I noticed relief from his work and would absolutely recommend him. After a move from Seattle I have seen another chiropractor in network who confirmed much of Dr. Suver's professional opinion and added on PT/strengthening exercises in order to try to maintain and improve the efficacy of the adjustments. Unlike other chiropractors I've been to, Dr. Suver doesn't just assembly-line adjust you and then send you on your way. He gives you exercises to strengthen your muscles so your back gets stronger and holds the adjustment longer, and looks at other parts of your body/lifestyle besides your spine to determine how to best help you feel better. If you have crummy insurance, he works with you to come up with a payment plan so you can afford whatever help you need. I've been going here for about 2 years and think that one of the main reasons I can still get around and be active in my middle age is because of the help I get from Dr. Suver and his staff. Other Dr's had told me that I might have one leg shorter than the other, and Dr. Suver was the first one to confirm this, with measurement, and offer help for it. On site massage therapist Lisa Lentz is one of the best I've had, and the various people he's had doing post-adjustment muscle work always seem to know exactly where to press. Dr. Suvur is the best of the best, I have been seeing him for almost a year now. I was really nervous to start seeing a Chiropractor, I was worried about the horror stories of what might go wrong. But when I started having pain due to a strange injury I went to see him. I have had great success and now only need to see Dr. Suvur once or twice a month for maintenance and to alleviate pressure from stress and tension. He always explains what he is adjusting, what could have happened to potentially cause the ailment, and what you can do to strengthen the area to get better. Not to mention, he's an all around awesome person! He takes the time to get to know his patients on a different level, and it's honestly a highlight to get to see and talk to him during my visits. I'm in good hands again! Seen about 9 chiropractors in my life and Dr Suver is the best I've seen so far. He was I think the 3rd or 4th chiropractor I saw then he moved to another location and was dropped from my insurance network so I shopped around. This is where I saw the reasons why people don't like chiropractors as some were quacks or money hungry trying to sell you all kinds of things. Some were decent but not to the degree of dr Suver. He is definitely a pro at what he does and listens to your concerns and ailments. Then does the adjustments quickly and swiftly before you realize what happened. Best part is he asks you to stand up and move around to see how you feel, if you're still in pain or tight, he'll do some muscle work to loosen you up and feel instantly better. Walked in after suffering from acute back pain for nearly a month. After three visits, I'm feeling good as new! Prior to seeing Dr. Suver, I'd spent 3 weeks doing PT, and never had the type of relief I got from his treatment. My issue was a sprained S/I joint. Symptoms included decreased ROM, pinching in my lower back/Sacrum, inability to walk normally. Presently, all but the most minor symptoms have subsided, but that's due to some of the soft tissue issues that resulted from the S/I sprain. Would also like to mention that at no point did I feel like Dr. Suver was trying to 'sell' me on some predetermined treatment schedule...a welcome relief from what I've previously experienced with chiropractics. This is my first visit with a chiropractor and I'm very impressed. I've had hesitations about seeing one because I've heard a lot of rumors regarding back adjustments. However, after a recent car injury that's left me in daily pain I knew I had to go see a back and neck specialist because pain meds are not going to fix the real problem. My consultation with Dr. Suver was the most comprehensive medical exam I've ever received for any healthcare treatments in my life. He took the time to ask every detail of my past and present medical history and is very friendly. I also like that he has massage therapists in his office to so that we can do back to back treatments to help my recovery. Dr. Suver is my savior. I did something awful to my back while lowering my toddler down. I was in extreme pain, in the morning it resembled contractions it was so bad. As a newish mom, I couldn't relax or take it easy to heal. I've never been to a chiropractor in my adult life. Not because I chose not to, I just have never had any back issues before. But man, after one session I feel almost back to myself. I woke up this morning almost in tears, because I could turn over in bed and snuggle my baby without yelping in pain. I've been to several chiropractors and Dr. Suver is one of the best. I've got a bad back, exacerbated by long days at the computer. Dr. Suver encourages you to eat healthy and work out to help your back so you can get better and not have to keep going to the chiropractor every week, unlike some chiropractors who will just adjust you and send you on your way. I came in by a friend's referral for a pinched ulnar nerve that was causing numbness on my right hand along the side accompanied by back pain and headaches. After one adjustment, the headaches were gone and there was palpable relief from the back pain. Dr. Suver takes the time to explain the treatment plans and what short term and long term affects are and I appreciate that he also considers financial capacity in recommending treatments. Yesterday morning I woke up and moved my neck and it literally got stuck for a few seconds...everything in my neck and shoulder area was cramping up as well as my feet. I began seeing Dr. Suver for back and neck pain after being involved in a rear-end collision. From the first visit he has given me his full attention and full access to his deep well of knowledge, not only about stretches and exercises I can to do help relieve my symptoms and recover... but also his knowledge of how to best deal with insurance, etc. for this auto accident with which I was involved. Dr. Suver and his team are AWE-some!! I was visiting Seattle over the Christmas/New Year's holidays for about two weeks, and hurt my lower back. I called in expecting to get an appointment in the next few days but was seen that evening. Dr. Suver is so knowledgeable and is an addictionologist in addition to being a chiropractor. He was genuinely interested in my well-being, and about me getting better. He was able to isolate and diagnose my problem(s) within minutes. After my initial adjustment, I went back for a deep tissue messages (which was excellent) with a licensed message therapist with 15+ years of experience in her field. I walked out of there feeling amazing, and received 110% better treatment in two days, than what I had received in the Bay Area (CA) over an eight month period after an auto accident which cost upwards of $4000. I've been seeing Dr. Suver on and off for about 7 years. He's a true healer and educator. When I first started seeing him I had daily headaches from bad posture and sitting at a desk all day. I was having shoulder pain, he spotted that I had a rotator cuff issue, adjusted me, gave me some strategies for how to take stress off of the area, and showed me how to take care of it. I signed up for a cheap chiropractor consultation at the Vegfest. There was no obligation to buy and I am very picky about my providers, so I figured it would be a fine way to explore some options. As a line cook who spends 8-10 hours on my feet every day, I was in search of a good chiropractor and I think I found the best. The consultation was thorough, explanatory beyond my expectations and I left with a full understanding of what I needed to accomplish for optimum spinal health. We carved out a good plan for my needs and I was given the option to have a more involved treatment or a basic maintenance treatment. I felt that my needs were considered from many angles and I was not given a hard sell for expensive therapy. I especially appreciate that Dr Suver took the initiative to review my insurance coverage and explain in human English what it means to ME. When I lost my insurance for a brief time, I was offered an affordable option to continue treatment. I have had the best adjustments, massages and all around good service in a relaxed and trusting environment. After about a year, I am on a bi-weekly, maintenance adjustment and I feel GREAT! Dr. Suver is the best chiropractor ever!! I'm not exagerating. I've seen about 6 different chiropractors in my adult life for a long standing injury which causes stiffness and pain in my neck, shoulders, and upper back. For the last few years I've had very little relief from other chiropractors because they could no longer adjust my very stiff neck no matter how many times (or techniques) they tried. And the other parts of my body barely adjusted either. In the last two months Dr. Suver's adjusted me about 10 times and I've had incredible pain relief and increased range of motion. He uses a " harness traction strap" to pull my head, which sends an powerful adjustment down my whole spine ).
