Chiropractic medicine is new to me, but I went to MindBody Med after a sports injury that affected my ribs. I first visited a doctor (not at MindBody) who x-rayed my ribcage (no breaks), and told me to use anti-inflammatories, blah, blah, blah. Still in pain, I went to MindBody and met with John Chevigny. He listened to what had happened, assessed what was going on, and then helped fix my injury. After my first appointment, I was doing so much better, like a 75% improvement over how I felt when I walked in. I saw him two more times to address the injury. I've been coming here sporadically since Julie Londergan days. Then the husband/wife team who took over short term. Now it's John Chevigny. He is great. I don't come often, only when my body is not feeling right or just feels misaligned. He can fix me in 1 or 2 sessions. I probably come 1-2x/year at most. Dr. John Chevigny knows what he is doing, after a terrible work accident I was limping really bad and he was able to correct that just in time preventing a permanent condition caused by negligent L&I doctors whose only mission is to send you back to work no matter what. Came here to post about the bad billing and customer service experience and saw that others are having the same experience. So yea, be warned. Here's my experience. I received an email that said I owed some balance. The website I was linked to didn't show any of that information so I called MindBody Med. They told me I owed $220 from something 6 months ago but I never received any bill and definitely don't expect to owe anything because everything had been taken care of on the day I paid. They then told me that their billing company wasn't sending statements and then she told me to call them. It should not be my job to fix the mistakes of the billing company that they chose. The chiro stuff I received was good, but not good enough to go through this slap in the face. read more

I was a client having regular appointments at mind body with Dr Chev. However as time went on I got increasingly frustrated with the billing at the clinic. For example it's April of 2023 and I received a text reminder this week that I had a remaining balance from my last appointment in August of 2022. Keep in mind I pay my co-pay at every visit before my appointment begins. On top of that in August of 2022 I paid an additional $80 to cover "co insurance" costs. After speaking with Liz at the reception desk she told me they have been auditing their records and realizing that patients were being undercharged and the billing team has been replaced. I believe that people in the world are honest and good by and large. Im not accusing anyone of being dishonest but it's very frustrating. I have seen multiple chiropractors over the years and never had this experience. I will not be returning under any circumstances. read more

Dr. John Chevigny fixed my spasming back in the first session. I was not sure how I felt about Chiropractic, and finally at 48 I broke down after 10 days of my back being completely out, and he fixed it and my tight, sore neck after 1 visit! I've only had two visits so far, but he isn't pushy and does a great job making you feel comfortable and distracts you with conversation about your family and his family etc. while getting the issues worked out. They will undoubtedly call you many months after your visit to claim insurance didn't cover the charges, or that your copay was not properly charged and then tell you that you have a bill that is due from a visit 6-8 months ago. The written bill that I got many months after the visit was even a different amount than what they said was owed when I called it pay it out of pocket just to not deal with them anymore... clearly they do not know what they are doing when billing insurance. Know this prior to your visit and expect to deal with it months after the fact. read more

I've been to a few chiropractors in the past, and this has been my favorite so far. I've been to both Natasha Whittaker and Jennifer Londergan and love them both. Natasha is my usual chiropractor, and I love that she's friendly and easy-going enough that we can talk about things aside from my back pains. (Jennifer too...they're both great!) I'm so pleased and thankful for this place as my back & neck have felt the best it's ever felt since I started coming here. I also love the fact that they have no qualms against giving you a mini massage if you completely need it before they start adjusting you. I came here per the recommendation of my running friends to seek the healing powers of Jennifer Londergan. I'm a runner, a marathoner, and put myself through many, many piles of pavement pounding last year. At the end of the year, while running the Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon, at mile 8 I experienced one of the most excruciating pains ever in my (so I thought) hip. After a couple weeks of non-running due to the injury, I came to Jen and she helped totally heal my gluteal muscle spasm. She performed ART (active release therapy) and Graston on me, both techniques that were very beneficial for my healing. After a few treatments, I was back to feeling great! Jen is a talented and effective chiropracter. As an athlete she has an understanding of the body and is able to adjust without loud cracks or discomfort. I'm amazed at her talent and have been seeing her for 3+ years for neck and back pain. Scheduling is a challenge based on limited hours. Just be aware it's challenging to get in if you work 9-5. I am late in my pregnancy and have experienced severe lower back pain, to the point where I could barely walk and was in constant pain. I have been seeing Julie for massage and she has been so wonderful - working with me to treat my pain with massage and making sure she is addressing my massage needs! It has helped SO much! I love this place! It is a little gem. Everybody is amazing on her/his way. The front desk, Michelle is friendly and knowledgeable about insurance and practice and can give you all sorts of information. Julie has great hands for deep massage and you will feel fresh and energized after her session. Dr. John is gentle, a great listener, and he will remember all your troubles, concerns, and also small chats about happiness and sadness in your day. His chiropractor's work is different than others and very profound. Sharon is an incredible bodyworker and a massage therapist. Intuitive and with a real interest in your health. She noticed and removed my long-lasting and deep pain that was a part of my life so long that I thought that is part of me, too. I would echo everything stated in the prior review about Dr. Coshow. I have had a couple of different naturopaths that I have really connected with an appreciated. But in the 2 months I've worked with her, she pretty much has kicked their butts. Dr. Coshow is really down to earth, available, and nothing is rushed. She truly cares about you and takes time with you. I've had two minor emergency's and she made time to talk to me on the phone as well as see me right away (even at 7am when I woke her up!) I wanna start by saying that my experience with the massage therapist was wonderful. She was kind, calming, and did fantastic work. I won't be returning, however, because the person at the front desk was snappy and rude to the point that I had anxiety about interacting with her at all. Dr. Karen Coshow is amazing. After years of vague, unresolved symptoms and doctors doing a basic blood panel and telling me "everything is fine, you're overreacting" I was ready for something new, so I decided to see a Naturopath. I was impressed from day one. She spent well over an hour talking to me at the first appointment, and I never felt rushed or ignored. She genuinely listened to my concerns, asked pointed questions, and was never condescending. She suggested a 96-food blood panel to test for food sensitivities, which I agreed to. When my results came back and I cut the offending foods out, I felt like a whole new person! It has now been 3 months, and I still feel great. Whenever I have questions or concerns, she responds to e-mails very quickly. Karen is awesome and I won't go back to a "regular" doctor again. I worked with John for just under three months and I couldn't be happier with the results. My back had become so painful and crippling (for lack of a better term) that I had to end pursuing two different careers that required me to be active. I couldn't sit or stand for longer than 10 minutes without being in severe pain and I couldn't sleep at night due to the throbbing and numbness that would travel down my left leg. Not only did John drastically help with these issues but he also helped correct other injuries I had sustained during my collegiate basketball years. I am 6'4/215lbs so not the easiest person to work on because of size but with his knowledge and ability to adjust his methods we were able to get everything functioning correctly. Due to his excellent work and determination, John prevented me from needing major back surgery and allowed me to continue an active lifestyle doing the things l love. Julie Londergen is an amazing massage therapist. I've seen many a therapist in Seattle, and for years had only found one woman on whom I could rely. My yoga studio had a notice that Julie was giving $50 massages for the month of April, so I decided to try it, and I'm so glad I did. I'm very active, including regular running and related injuries, plus lots of kid-lifting/wrangling. Julie worked all the right areas to that perfect balance of pain/relief.
