His adjustments are very precise and he does a good job at providing relief to the areas that need it most without overstepping. 2020 has been the year of focusing on my health and self-care. Earlier this summer, my fiance and I got into a car accident which luckily no one else was involved in. At the time of the accident, I felt fine but I decided to book an appointment to see my chiropractor ASAP. I was starting to feel sore from the aftermath of that accident so he did an exam. Dr. Dillion also asked me to get my fiance in and came up with a care plan for the 2 of us. Been going to Lifestyle chiropractic for a few months now since work from home has wrecked my back. They have been super helpful at taking some of the pressure off my shoulders and increasing my range of motion. Furthermore, I can see the adema that was building up in my spine going down. My wife and I live in California, but travel to Seattle each year to visit our son's family. I have back and muscle issues and they have been very helpful over the years. I saw Dr. Ta and Dr. Dillon during our recent trip. Road trips have become more difficult for me and they helped me recover from the resulting tight muscles and pain. They thoroughly reviewed my history, performed adjustments, discussed my prognosis, and offered suggestions for changes to my exercise routine. Caring professional staff that really care. Sports therapy and chiropractic together is perfect. They have helped me with terrible hip pain (solved) and shoulder pain. Pretty bad experience after 2 months of adjustments. The first two adjustments were fine but the level of service deteriorated for every subsequent follow-up. There was so much attention to detail in the beginning but then it quickly shifts to get the customer in then out. The "plan" also seems to just try to load people up on as many services as possible to bill as much as possible. The cancellation policy is also lacking in the era of covid. read more

Do not come. Front desk and chiropractors are nice but the business is definitely not honest. The first appointment made me wait 20mins and finished in 30mins and charged me over $190. I agreed to do neck X-ray but was told can only see results in the next appointment which charges me more. I have no choice but keep coming back again as I already wasted $190. Everything is moving super fast, like around 10mins, and they really just want you to pay for more services. They schedule 3 times a week follow-up for another 3 weeks. Just imagine how large the bill it would be but they didn't even tell you the estimate. And when I asked if I can see my x-ray and muscle tension graph in portal, I was ignored. The therapists were nice and helpful. But this is definitely not an honest business as many reviews below have already pointed out. The accounting system is error pro - it doesn't track insurance properly and blame clients for it. While the treatment plan tries to push customers thru as many services as possible, the business won't alarm you on benefit usage and only charge you a big bill months after. read more

This update is regarding their accounting department only. The previous review on Dr. Dillan remains unchanged. : For whatever reason the accounting department has had a problem with automated payments. I have received multiple "final notices" related to debt collection even though i have authorized payment, and spoken to them on the phone prior. Every time i call they seem friendly, and we resolve the issue, they run the card and I authorize them to do so in the future. Then i get another letter saying i owe more, and I'm late on payment (which i preauthorized them to pull from my acct. in a payment plan).. So, again i call and we start the cycle over. seems like this has happened 3 or so times. Makes me feel as though i should be more scrupulous in reviewing statements to see if the billing is correct....? read more

Dr. Dillan and his team run a great practice here in Green Lake. I've seen Dr. Dillan for various issues I have had in my back and neck and have received excellent care each time. He is very knowledgeable and reassuring, and helped me work through back pain that was keeping me from going on backpacking trips and running - which is my main source of working out. This place is the best. As a serious runner coming here regularly has become a key element in keeping my healthy. Lorye is one of my favorite PTs I've worked with, and Dr. Niall and Katie are great at identifying the root cause of pain I am experiencing and helping to prevent injuries throughout my training cycles. Adam is also great for massage therapy. Sessions with him can be painful, but it's worth it in the end. Another plus is that it's always easy to get an appointment, which is a rare find for Seattle PT/Chiropractic offices. Highly recommended! read more

We moved to Green Lake a little over a year ago and were worried we wouldn't find a great chiropractor after loving the one we had during our time in California. I really like Dr. Barry as an individual and appreciate that the aim of his practice is to improve the patient's lifestyle (hence the name) and not just focus on chiropractic care. However, you would not know that from his business. He really does have an in-and-out manner and while I'm a busy person and don't like wasting time, I would appreciate a little more attentiveness and not just be the next body on the table (literally). Dr. Dillon and his staff are incredible. Dr. Dillon uses a variety of techniques to reduce pain when I'm having one of my many chronic migraines. He's patient, informative, and caring. Dr. Dillon is also very generous with his time. If I need to come in urgently to deal with a migraine, he's always found room in his schedule. Lifestyle's staff is amazing. They are organized, friendly, and accommodating. They remember their patients and I feel like family when I go there. Yes, sitting through the Introduction to Chiropractic was annoying. And you'll get more videos as you continue treatment. But the Monday afternoon headaches have stopped!!! After a negative experience more than 10 years ago with a chiro-pusher, I was extremely skeptical. "Dr. Barry" was recommended by a couple of personal trainers, including a yoga teacher. I decided to give the intense initial treatment a go and after 3 weeks, the headaches that had been part of my Monday afternoons (started at my left shoulder blade, moved to my left temple and stayed until the following morning), had stopped! With hours of computer work and small kids to hoist around, I know the regular chiropractic treatments have helped me reduce my ibuprofen purchases. It's my "back vitamin"--take it regularly for good health. I would recommend Lifestyle Chiropractic without hestitation. read more

The 2 star review isn't for the staff. Everyone from the front desk to the doctors and PTs are very nice people. I am disappointed in their treatment plan. It lacks definition and foresight. I came in 3 times a week for 4-5 weeks, told them multiple times that things were getting worse and get the same generic advise on "keep moving", "hang in there". At one point, I received conflicting advise from 2 different chiros in the same week. I told them my goal was to be able to snowboard this winter again but they were never really able to articulate a coherent strategy as to how we were going to get there or any meaningful follow ups on homework. The issue has only gotten worse since then. I have decided to go somewhere else. read more

The reason I would not go back to this chiropractor would be solely because of one rude receptionist named Gina. I was hesitant to write a review before because the rest of the experience at this location was pleasant enough, but an employee that is even rude to you outside of their workplace... that's just excessive. I hadn't been in here for over a year, but started experiencing the worst neck pain and it wasn't going away. I called in the afternoon and got an appointment right after work. Lifestyle was so easy to come back to. Dr. Dillon did some tests, an adjustment, then used a theragun and cupping to help relive my pain. I'd been treated for 2 years in Oregon for a slipped disc, which in a matter of two appointments, Dr. Dillan has shown is not the case. Recently received an excellent therapeutic massage from Stephanie at Lifestyle Chiropractic. I briefly explained the areas that I've been having a lot of muscle tightness from as a result of stress as well as a nagging pain near my back/hip that I've had for nearly a year (running injury). While I've seen other therapists that have worked on my back/hip issue, this was the first time I've felt pain free in that area since my initial injury. She also showed me a few stretches that I can/should be doing to prevent similar pain in the future for both my shoulders and lower back. I was not going to write a review on these guys, but after today I have had it. Don't be fooled by friendly welcoming attitude here when you FIRST walk in. I stopped by just to inquire about maybe getting some work done. The receptionist told me sure, just stop by and have the doctor take a look at you. Awesome. The Dr. Dillon saw me the same day and we scheduled some follow-ups. Everybody was super friendly, seemed like a great place. And it probably is for all things chiropractic-wise, but not as an honest business. When I asked to just pay for my first adjustment there was a $100+ consultation fee that was NEVER discussed. I even asked about this when I first stopped in. Not feeling like arguing, I questioned it, but jjst paid the charge and set my next appointment. When I returned they said I still had a balance and I again questioned this, but I was not backing down this time. I was giving some BS reason about the receptionist not knowing everything the doctor did. So me asking specifically to pay for the services I recieved is not me trying to clarify EXACTLY what I need to pay for?? The receptionist then became very lippy and some lady in the back office also took an oppositional stance against me. To further aggravate the issue, there were some accounting "errors" on my account which also increased the amount due. Dr. Dillon came out and the issue was resolved, but I could see he cringed helping me do what was right. Finally on my last visit, there again were issues with my bill. Services not received. Etc. I had it at this point. Then their friendly attitudes changed, even Dr. Dillon. They tried to pin their errors on me which is insanity. I specifically asked targetted questions from the first time I set foot in there, and especially after the first issue with the non-disclosed consultation fee. Either way, I gave up and just paid, but left very ticked off. Dr. Dillon seemed to see the error of their ways and called me later that evening to apologize and invite me back to resolve the issue (I still have the voicemail). I had no interest in this as I was busy moving and didn't need any additional aggravation. Until today. I received a bill from them for $3.41 due to ANOTHER error in their accounting. After when I left there the last time I made 100% I would NEVER have to deal with them again. Really? $3.41?? This is infuriating beyond any reason. After overcharging me by $100's you have the gall to send me a bill for $3.41?? Come find me to collect your $3.41. What an unpleasant experience with folks I gave 3 chances to redeem their accounting errors. I would just stay away, pay more, live with back pain, instead of ever setting foot in there again. read more

So this is gonna be a strange review. This is a two star for the atmosphere, because yeah, I am that uncomfortable in this place. I've been here three times for a massage, twice by the same masseuse. She was awesome, so this doesn't reflect on her. Nice, professional, starting out. Tries to do everything to make it easier on you. The third masseuse I saw knows her stuff, but seems really uncomfortable in her own skin. She gave me a great massage, but wasn't exactly the relaxing type. I totally missed my appointment and she rescheduled for later in the day; that was great. (I tipped her well). I would probably recommend her for sports massage, which I know she would be simply awesome at and I would probably see her again at a different location. I have not been here for the chiropractic services (hence the weird review). Now for the weird guy. I assume he was one of the chiropractors, and yeah, I did not see him nor will I ever. They have some weird obsession with the shared bathroom in this place, which is shared by the businesses in this building. I usually was running here after work, so yeah...using the shared bathroom in this place is a BIG deal. The receptionist didn't exactly come out and say "we don't like our clients to use it" but they make a big deal about giving you the key and where it is at and get this, making sure you shut the door to the hallway, because why? Not for quiet or comfort of the clients...but to keep out the "strange people" Yep. After I guess forgetting to shut the door tightly to the hallway and the office, this guy actually called me out on it in the sitting room of all places, and told me that was not acceptable as we need to keep out "those strange people in Green Lake out." Lovely. Yep, it shares a bathroom with a coffee place and a women's sports place, so I assume he thinks a lot of homeless people break in, which, being Seattle, I can see, but seriously, that was soooo snooty. And just... who says that to a client in their office? This guy! I thought it was one of the most unprofessional and rude comments to make. If you are cool with that type of behavior, by all means, go here, but seriously, it annoyed me to no end. Won't be going back. read more

My Luv and I both have benefit greatly from regular Chiropractic care from Dr. Joel Southwell. As an elite athlete, I don't just go in for pain management. In February, I fully recovered from my TJL injury in about a week with the aide of my regenerative nutrition protocols. To maintain optimal performance, maintenance adjustments are exactly what I need to get a new PR (personal record) in my training. On December 3rd last year, I strained my left hamstring from deadlift training. I had just started incorporating sumo stance and did not properly warm-up and stretch. My bad. So, yank! Ouch! I love Lifestyle Chiropractic!! Dr. Gjerdrum is so awesome. He is so knowledgeable and nice, and puts you at ease whether you're there for a routine adjustment or due to a pain filled day. The staff is great, there is a play area for the kids when they're waiting for the short time it takes to meet with doc, and the space is cheery, bright and convenient to mostly anywhere. As a side note, sort of, I have had experiences where I went to a doc or chiropractor who was in poor physical condition. Dr G is in great shape, and it makes it very easy to trust that he knows what it takes to feel fabulous in your own skin at any age! I know that sounds rotten and judgmental about people who may have issues that cause them to gain weight, and I'm not trying to sound like that..
