    Segway tour
    Megan N.

We had an amazing time gliding around Seattle on a Segway. It was easy to do even for my 10 year old. We stopped at different points of interest and our guide Alex gave us some great tips. We had fun seeing the waterfront and the Space Needle area. I highly recommend!!

Out of the box I want to get the one con out of the way...bring your own helmet if you can as the supply they have is good but not great. This was a minor mosquito itch and nothing more. We were met at the door by Stephen and felt right at home with him. My wife and 14y/o daughter also agree that he was very likeable from the start. We were given a tutorial on the Segway with important do's and dont's and then made to run it around the indoor area until we met his approval. I must say that I felt pretty skittish on it and wondered if this was really going to work out. This thought process lasted all of about 2 minutes once out the door. It is really amazing how quickly you get comfortable on these things. If you are worried at all, please do yourself a favor and take the chance. We spent nearly two hours running from one attraction to another while being given some nice tidbits of information about the area. From the pier, Space Needle, and Pike Place Market, this was a fully packed trip. I want to end being very clear. If you are going to spend some money on a tour in Seattle I would recommend putting this at the top of your list. You will have a blast and I'm guessing you'll be looking at how much a Segway costs because it is so much stinking fun.

Ambience. C Service. A Price. A (used Groupon) A non descript location with old store front found underneath viaduct. One block from piers. Guy showed up exactly at time for scheduled tour. There were 4 of us. We were given instructions and test drove around cones in the room. That's nice. That we could get as comfortable getting the feel for the Segway. They also provide helmets and wipes to clean anything. Rose thorough the piers, sculpture park, outside of seattle center, bell town, pikes market and finishing pioneer square. I found this more fun just riding the Segway. You can ask guide anything and was pretty knowledgeable. But mostly felt fun riding Segway to see downtown seattle. It would be cool if they had Walkie talkie helmets. I would do again. With a Groupon!

Don't even think about NOT doing this tour. We were a little skittish about learning how to ride a Segway, but seriously, it took like five minutes and we felt pretty comfortable. I figured it was going to be huge fun and it definitely was. Absolutely loved it! Erich was our guide and he rocked! Totally laid back and patient and agreeable to stop for pics whenever we wanted. We probably put like 7-8 miles on our Segways for sure. He also knew plenty about the different places we checked out. Our tour group was just my husband and I, so we were completely spoiled. Erich took us to a few places he said he doesn't usually take groups, so we felt really special. I seriously want a Segway now as it was addicting and fun! It's hilarious just zooming right by so many pedestrians. On top of that, we got lots of stares and ooohs and ahhhs from people that were way jealous as they watched us cruise on by. We are off to Portland and are already going to book a Segway tour there as well. Killer fun in every single way! I see us doing a Segway tour in every city we visit that has one. Took Groupons here---no problem whatsoever. Be advised, the office/starting point of tour is in a sketchy underpass area on the same block as a homeless mission so there are definitely some undesirables hanging out nearby. Travel with a companion and you'll be fine. Don't let this deter you from trying this tour. You won't be disappointed. Seriously, you won't.

Ryan our tour guide was laid back and fun. We traveled all throughout the city visiting the usual tourist spots. He took care to make sure we were comfortable before going up hills or down hills. The storefront is an office building, not as clearly marked as i would like. We were able to practice using segways after instructions on the side of the building. After about 7 passes up and down the street you truly feel confident with the segway. The price of $65.00 was reasonable, $10.00 cheeper than S.F. You can bring your own helmet which we did.

Me and my husband used a groupon and arrived ten minutes early. It was just the two of us for the tour and Jonathan was our guide. He was very thorough with the instructions and made sure we got the tour we wanted. We are not new to Seattle and just wanted to ride the segways so the tour the mostly just zipping through downtown which worked for us and he took some pictures and videos of us.All in all,it was a fun hour & half.

Awesome and fun tour of the Seattle area. We had Brandon as our guide and we had a blast. Want to see the sites in a fun way without all the walking? Come do this tour. Definitely recommend it. We did a lot of waking the day before just to see a few sites, in the 1.5-2 hour tour with the Segways, we hit more sites than I thought we would. Riding the Segways are a breeze, and Brandon's tutorial, and do's and don'ts will help you out. Don't think of this tour as a historical docent tour, but more of a see the sites tour in a fun way. If you really want all the historical events, take a few pictures and look it up on google. They can give you all the history, but it will take more time away from seeing things. Again, one of the best tours I have done and would do it again when I come back. Oh, and by the way, don't forget to tip your guide, they more than deserve it.

A great way to spend a work day!

This was so much fun; one of the best times I've had on any type of tour! I'm local and would do this once a year because the Segway is a blast. Also, the tour guide was super cool, helpful, and attentive to anyone who needed a bit of help. You've got to try it!

I LOVED THIS TOUR!!! When my mom and I first arrived, I had no idea what to expect, but I quickly came to enjoy it. Our guide taught us how to use the Segways inside the building. Then, we were able to ride freely in the bike lane. Once we were all accustomed to the segways, our guide took us on a tour of Seattle. We hit every major sight- Pike Place, Seattle Center, the Space Needle, etc. I loved it! Our guide was INCREDIBLY knowledgable, and I learned SO much. It was also evident that she took great care of the Segways- they were in top condition. She also cleaned all the helmets before use. DEFINITELY recommend visiting Seattle By Segway :-)))

Brandon was a great guide. He gave a us great info and was very patient with all of us first time riders!!

    Ivy Lou H.

If you've never done a Segway tour then you'll like this tour because everybody likes their first Segway experience. As for the tour though it's pretty lame. You'll ride around a few streets, see the Space Needle, then ride back to the starting point. For $90 a person it's just not worth it because you see so little. Our guide was friendly and a nice guy but he told us nothing about the local area, history, or anything at all until we got to the Space Needle and Experience Music Project Museum. This is more a Segway ride than a tour.

Our party arrived at the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop at 7:04 for our 7:00 pm tour and asked the worker where the tour meets to which the rude worker just replied under their breath, "they left" and returned to work.I explained that I understood we were late but were hoping we could catch up with them. I asked that same worker where the tour meets and they said, "In a big group outside" and continued to work. While we were on the pier in Seattle this information was not helpful. Trying to salvage the night, we went outside and tried to walk around and look for a "big group of people" on the crowded Seattle pier on a Saturday night. After a few minutes I went back inside he shop frustrated and asked the worker if they could find someone that was actually helpful that could answer some questions. With some reluctancy this person called their accommodating manager who explained that the tour heads to the right and described exactly what the tour guide was wearing. Ultimately we were unable to catch up with our tour guide because of how much time was wasted with this worker who was unwilling to help us at all. Again I understand we were late, but stuff happens. I cannot say enough amazing things about this Olympic National Park tour experience. From start to finish, this was hands down one of the best guided experiences I've ever had and one I will remember for a long time. We visited Hurricane Ridge, the Elwha area, Lake Crescent, Marymere Falls, and several additional scenic stops throughout the day, and every single location was absolutely breathtaking. The landscapes were stunning, but what truly elevated this experience was the way the entire day was curated and paced. Nothing ever felt rushed. We had time to really take in the scenery, walk around, take photos, learn, and fully experience each stop before moving on to the next. Our guide Evan was phenomenal. Incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about the ecosystem, history, geology, and ecology of Olympic National Park. Listening to him explain how the landscapes were formed, how the ecosystems function, and the history behind the region made the entire experience feel so much deeper and more meaningful. It honestly made me want to continue learning more after the tour ended. What also stood out was how well he created an atmosphere for the group. During the drive, everyone introduced themselves and shared a little about where they were from, which made the group feel comfortable and connected. On the ride back, he had everyone share songs that had personal meaning to them, and we talked about why we chose them. It turned what could have just been a long drive into a genuinely memorable and human experience. Even the lunch setup was beautifully organized and thoughtfully presented. Every detail throughout the day felt intentional and well done. The ferry ride, the mountains, the forests, the rivers, the waterfalls, the lakes, it was all unforgettable. Olympic National Park is stunning on its own, but having such an incredible guide and such a well-executed tour made this experience truly exceptional. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Seattle/Olympic area. Easily a 10/10 experience.

Martin W. was our tour guide on this expedition and he was exceptional!!! Friendly and down to earth and extremely knowledgeable as well. He really did add another layer to this trip and made you feel comfortable and well-taken cared of. My daughter was a little apprehensive about going as she didn't know what to expect, however, this was also the highlight of her trip as well. I truly wish we had more time to explore what Olympic National Park has to offer, however, if you are on a time crunch and are unfamiliar with the area, this is easily the best way to get a taste of the park. In addition, they also pick you up right from your hotel and also provide coffee, drinks and an exceptional catered lunch! After picking us up and taking the ferry across to Bainbridge (a cool experience itself) it's a bit of a drive to get over to the Port Angeles area where we stopped at the Visitor Center, however, there is lots to see and learn on the way. Fortunately the road was open to get to Hurricane Ridge and we got to experience some snowshoeing (first time we had ever done this) and it was awesome! Not too tiring and for those who might struggle you are given the choice to stay back if you had wanted to (BUT WHY WOULD YOU!!!) We then headed down the mountain and stopped off for some sightseeing and another little walk to stretch the legs and then we headed to our next stop. Wish I can remember the name of the place, however, it was an incredible spot to explore as Martin set up for our catered lunch. It was located right next to a river that had some cool atmospheric mist slowly creeping through. There was also an easy little trail which took you through lush vegetation & moss covered trees to a free-flowing waterfall. It was just stunning and honestly you didn't want to leave. Eventually we headed to our final stop at Cresent Lake. Just wow!! The lake had a bit of a moody feel, however, it was just beautiful and the hike through to get there was just insanely gorgeous and just magical. Words and pictures alone can't do this place justice. It's just something you have to EXPERIENCE!!! One of the other highlights was the trip back on the ferry. It offers up an impressive and unique view of the Seattle cityscape all lit up as you relax and reminisce on the day. Truly wish we had more time in Seattle, as I would without hesitation want to book all of the tours that Evergreen Escapes offer and I imagine each experience is unique depending on what time of year you go as well.
