Captain Ben and Nell the ship dog

Our experience with Sail Bainbridge was amazing from the start when we first called Ben, the Captain, to see about a multi day trip. Ben put together several options for us in a detailed email. We chose one of his recommended routes: with our first stop at Penrose Point State Park where we could hike around and enjoy a more secluded day, and our second day in Gig Harbor where we could enjoy the busy harbor and walking in the town. Ben is also extremely knowledgeable about sailing, wildlife, landmarks, history, and music! Although we could enjoy the tour by ourselves, we really enjoyed talking to Ben which was good since we had 3 days with him. Some of the things we really enjoyed about our trip were grabbing dinner in gig harbor, watching the sunset on Mount Rainier, stand up paddle boarding, awesome sleeping on the ship, and Nell the captain's dog. I HIGHLY recommend Sail Bainbridge, and go for a multi day if you have the time!

Adventures await with sweet True and Captain Ben! We decided to sail out of Bainbridge Island to see the Seattle skyline and take in the views all around us. As we journeyed out from Eagle Harbor into Puget Sound we were pleasantly impressed by the scenery. The ferries were passing by us and it felt like we were at one with the wind. Luckily the weather conditions were perfect and it was smooth sailing from there on out. Just bring a coat as the air does get chilly.

What a fabulous weekend getaway!! Ben was a great host and the True was terrific! Thanks so much for making this birthday trip memorable!!

We chartered Ben's boat as a special anniversary gift for my parents who are visiting from out of town. It was awesome! Ben is an amazing captain and had no problem managing my two little kids and keeping them entertained by making them part of the experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone! There wasn't much wind to speak of but the weather was gorgeous and Ben took us out to a buoy full of sea lions. A great experience for everyone involved. I can't wait to do it again!

It's a pristine sail ship owned, maintained and operated by two of the best lady sailors. Tami's a 20 year boat caption and Claudette is an acute sailor and certified nurse. It was a gracious, informative tour of the bay with warmth, safety & genuine comradery. They actually extended our time just because they're passionate about what they do. In this day of making a dime, it was a breath of fresh air to meet such qualified warm professionals whose passion is to share and make you smile. We couldn't have been in better hands and will travel with you again. So happy to hear they have extended their excursions to Poulsbo to service the lively downtown arena. If you want a qualified experience, I highly suggest traveling with this crew & company. Thank you for a truly wonderful & unique experience. TK 'Terri' Jones & Jon Richardson

Looking for an unusual get-away, we found it with your Boat and Breakfast, complete with a sail on your beautiful classic wooden boat. Moored on the quiet side of Eagle Bay Harbor, it was so peaceful and restful to watch the boats and ferries pass in the distance, the full moon rise over the water, and we could even see the Space Needle from our deck! The boat was our hide-away and so comfortable to return to after exploring Bainbridge Island, the lovely town of Winslow, and walking in the magnificent Grand Forest. Our memories of this celebration will be with us forever. Thanks to the "all gal crew" who gave us a pleasant sail ~ and even let us take a turn at the wheel. Lynn & Bud

We ended up really enjoying the tour and would highly recommend to visitors. This would especially be a great thing to add to your itinerary if you're only in the city for a short time, as you get to see a lot of landmarks in a short time. You also get to hear about the city's history and key industries. The ride overall is pretty smooth, and my husband, who gets motion sickness, was totally fine. The boat when docked can experience a little more motion, however, so your mileage may vary. We also found it easy to get seats with good views, and the guides were easy to hear anywhere on the boat. The crew were friendly and engaging, and Angelo and the other staff were very kind to us when my husband and I mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary.

The check-in and onboarding process was super easy. The ship promptly left dock at designated time. The top deck had open view. The second level had enclosed area with glass window views. Also both ends were open to guests as well. From start to end, the staff member did an amazing job of narrating many aspects of the views from the deck. A lot of it was about the downtown Seattle buildings, Space Needle, buildings and parks by the shore, the sea ports and many other cool facts along the way. I throughly enjoyed the hour long tour. The weather was also fantastic to take stunning pictures of the downtown, the mountains and the port. They also had a bar in second level where they served alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, pop corn and some small snacks. Prices were decent for it being a tourist activity. We liked both popcorn and the strawberry lemonade.

My husband is a huge Sleepless in Seattle fan and the highlight of the evening was passing the floating house. The food was amazing. Everything was farm to fork fresh and prepared by a chef onboard. I highly recommend the crab cakes and homemade bourbon ice-cream. The pace of the evening was lovely, it didn't feel rushed or lagging. You could tell Mark worked hard to make sure that our experience from the moment we stepped aboard was seamless. He thought of everything, even providing a cozy blanket when the wind became a little chilly towards the end of the night. I cannot recommend Enchantress Cruises enough! The USS Nebraska's keel was laid down in May 26, 1987 ; it was launched on August 15, 1992 and commissioned on July 10, 1993. The sub is home to 1 of two crews for a typical deterrent mission under the MAD strategy for an average of 77 days. Each crew consists of ~17 officers, ~15 petty officers and ~122 enlisted men. The USS Nebraska has completed 18 deterrent missions as of September of 2010. This is the second Navy Ship to honor the State of Nebraska. Duty rotation for the crew is 18 hours with 6 hours at the primary duty station, ~6 hours of other duties. However, officers, however, typically are on for 14 hours or longer. This is the routine for the entire tour of duty. Aside from 24 Trident Ballistic missiles complete with MIRVs (Multiple Independent Reentry Vehicles), the sub features 4 forward torpedo tubes. 4 of the 18 Ohio class submarines are designed SSGNs and are equipped with cruise missiles instead of Trident Missiles. The tour allowed us to see the silos and torpedo bay including the control rooms for each. We also the Mess, the Ward room, the Petty Officers room, the berths of various personal and the bathrooms. The Control center and sonar rooms as well as misc machine rooms were part of the tour. The only areas pretty much off-limits to the friends and families touring the Nebraska was the engine room, nuclear reactor room and sail. We were treated to lunch which was 2 star food with 5 star service. During deployment, the kitchen is active 24/7 and the lunch we were served seemed to reflect what was served on board Kudos to the men (and soon woman) who go on watch on this sub.
