Lydia, the owner, asked us to join them and we sat not knowing what to expect. It was quiet and she explained to us how to drink tea and also how to know from bad to good tea leaves. Great friendly experience and really no pressure for you to buy anything, although we did walk out with $30 worth of tea lol. If you like tea, just go! Definitely one of the best (if not the best) boba places in town. It is hard to find a boba/milk tea place that uses as high quality tea as Seattle Best (the closest to it is probably Drive Thru Boba in downtown Bellevue). The tea is freshly brewed, the cream is not too heavy, and there is just the right amount of sweetness added to the milk tea. Oh, and the tapioca balls are cooked pretty well to add a nice chewiness to the drink. Not only is the milk tea great, but the service is amazing as well. The owner is super friendly AND passionate about tea. Prices are great ($3.50 for the milk tea and tapioca). The only downside I can think of for this place is its operating time. It's only open until 6pm and unfortunately, I drink boba most often at night. It's a shame that I have to resort to Oasis for my late night Chinatown boba runs. Nonetheless, it was well worth a trip during the day for some quality, wallet-friendly boba from Seattle Best Tea Corporation. I shall be back!! read more

You can learn about the many types of tea and their benefits. Menu didn't mention how sweet you prefer the drink to be or the amount of ice for cold beverages. The green tea milk tea was very delicious. Recommend getting no ice and half sweetness. The freshness of the tea makes them one of the best in the city. Very reasonable prices plus free toppings! Y'all this place is literally it like if you ever need bubble tea just come here. There are so many boba places in Chinatown, but this is the best. Like the other places don't do tea correctly. Very good boba. I will almost always get taro flavor milk tea when going to a boba place for the first time and my husband usually gets an avocado smoothie. I think it makes it easier to compare different boba places if you are always comparing the same flavors (plus taro is the best!) than if you were constantly trying different combinations at different places. They had great prices and a variety of flavors. We actually got to watch her cut the avocado and scoop it in to the smoothie - very fresh! It was the most avocado tasting of any avocado smoothie we've tried. The taro flavoring wasn't quite mixed all the way, but it was still good and I would return to give it a second try. read more

This place is just delightful. I popped in for some bubble tea and was looking for a nice, quiet place to get some work done and this place fits the bill perfectly. They offer primarily boba tea and ice cream, weirdly enough, but so many of the flavors sounded super tasty. I wound up going with a black milk tea with boba and the boba were kind of gooey - I'm not sure if they were over cooked or something, but it wasn't the texture I'm used to (LOVE boba!), so I took a star off for that (kinda rough if your menu is 90% boba tea and your boba's under/overcooked). The dude behind the counter was very sweet and polite and there's literally a whole family style dinner table setup at the back of the shop that you can see, which adds a curious bit of charm to the place. My family and I were visiting Seattle recently and wanted to try some different shops in the International District. The weather was typical, cold and rainy. My wife suggested some hot tea. I googled tea shops and Seattle Best Tea came up with 5 stars so we headed there. When we walked in the owner greeted us and asked what we would like. We ordered our hot bubble tea and she asked if we wanted Tapioca and jelly added (no charge for that btw). We both ended up getting a hot tea, Jasmine Bubble Milk with Tapioca. It was, without a doubt, the best tea I have ever had. While we enjoyed our tea she asked us if we would like some samples of their ice creams. She then proceeded to give us samples of many different flavors of ice cream which were all delicious. We were the only ones in the shop at the time and the owner asked us where we were from which turned into a wonderful conversation about her and her family and the tea shop, which has been there 20 years. If you're in the area and want some tea this is the place. You won't be disappointed. read more

They seem expensive because you buy a lot at a time but when you realize how little tea you use for one steeping, it's a lot cheaper than coffee. I found myself walking around International City in Seattle, trying to kill time before my flight back home in LA. I stumbled upon Seattle Tea while on my walk and I'm so glad I did. It's a small shop filled with dried tea leaves. When I asked the lady for honey jasmine tea, I was confused because she was packaging tea leaves. I was hoping the tea leaves weren't for me because I needed something to quench my thirst now, not later. heh. Anyhow, the lady asked if I wanted bubble (boba). After that, she went into the back to make our drinks. The tea is brewed the morning of, and chilled throughout the afternoon. The lady asked us to try our drinks before leaving because she said that she only added a quarter of the honey she usually adds. She explained that some customers complained that it was too sweet, so she only adds a quarter at a time, and if it's not to your liking, she'll add more honey. My cousin and I tried the tea and both agreed that it was just right. Even with a fraction of the honey she usually adds, I thought that it was sweet enough. Definitely stop by for a quick and inexpensive drink. I only had the honey jasmine tea ($2.50 for a rather large cup), so I can't speak for the other drinks, but I'm sure they're just as delicious!! read more

Everything she gave us tasted absolutely wonderful. It was quite difficult to just pick one! This tea shop won't remind you of Starbucks, Queen Mary, Kuan Yin, or any other place in Seattle. It's more like a traditional store-front tea shop in Hong Kong or Seoul -- assorted dusty teaware, teas you've probably not tasted, and a friendly, encouraging proprietor. Express just a little interest and you'll find yourself sitting at her table toward the back, being served some special tea brewed in the traditional Chinese manner. Others may join you and they'll be just as odd as this shop. Vivian (I believe this is the owner's name) won't charge you for this wonderful experience and won't even feel (too) bad if you don't buy some tea. But you'll feel bad (later) if you don't take some tea home with you. There are certainly places in town (and on the Net) that offer a broader selection of tea, including organic teas. But nothing offers the experience that you'll get at this little hole in the wall in the International District. read more

The best mango black tea I have ever had, and this is having tried boba all around NorCal and SoCal where it's much more popular. Boba and milk tea are also really good. The owner still personally makes the drinks herself and she is really knowledgeable about everything tea related (as you would expect considering this place used to solely sell teas). She is also extremely nice. They've started making smoothies as well and I can attest the mango one is delicious but being from California, I'm always too cold to drink them. My husband and I were vacationing from Los Angeles and stumbled upon this tea shop. We went in and were offered numerous tea samples of different varieties. Their tea is by far the best I've had. The owner is very sweet and knowledgable about the origin of the tea. I particularly enjoyed that their tea is hand picked from Taiwan. It has been very difficult for me to find hand picked tea, and I'm glad that I've found this hidden gem :) PS: their tea is very fresh! read more

I ordered the taro milk tea with half boba and half lychee jelly. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch or it wasn't mixed in properly but I kept getting these chunky dry bits in my mouth every time I took a sip. I had to pull out the straw and drink from the top in order to be able to enjoy the drink. Apart from the dry bits, the flavor was good! The lady/owner inside was indeed very sweet and welcoming. If I wasn't in such a rush I would've let her know. I'll have to give this place another try at some point! read more

This is easily one of my favorite places to get bubble tea. Oasis' milk tea doesn't compare and I'd come here for milk tea any day for the better tasting tea and quality. The first time I came here, I ordered the Light Oolong milk tea and it was really good. You can definitely taste the flavor of the tea and can tell they put a good amount of milk in it; the tea also has a roasted flavor to it. It's unlike other milk teas I've had which taste more watered down and lack tea flavor. The light oolong milk tea had a good balance of tea flavor, milk, and sweetness. The owners here are definitely doing milk tea the right way. I'd recommend getting it with no tapioca/add-ons, the tea by itself is already really good. The service is quick and the owner and staff are very nice and welcoming. One of the times I came, they offered me a sample of their durian ice cream which tastes pretty good. Unlike typical boba shops, they actually use their super high quality tea leaves for their boba and brew each cup when ordered! This place is legit. It's a real tea house that also serves boba. Also they use organic valley Milk and filtered water. The back of the store serves authentic hot tea with a large variety.
