1/5 - AVOID SEATTLE AUTO PRO AT ALL COSTS This was one of the worst auto repair experiences I've ever had. I took my Lexus to Seattle Auto Pro to fix several cylinder misfires. I came prepared and even brought all 6 spark plugs myself. They inspected the car and then upsold me, telling me I also needed 6 ignition coils from them. I trusted them and agreed to the work. They kept my car from Friday to Monday, then texted me saying the misfires were fixed. Cool. I paid and picked it up thinking the nightmare was over. It wasn't. On the drive home on the freeway, my car started misfiring worse than before. The whole car was shaking uncontrollably and it smelled strongly of unburnt gas. This was honestly scary and felt dangerous. I barely made it home and parked it. When I called the shop to tell them what happened, one of their mechanics, Favian, told me the problem was now the O2 sensor and that I needed to buy one and bring the car back the next day. That made zero sense to me, and at that point I had lost all trust in them. Before taking it anywhere else, I scanned my car. When I originally brought it to Seattle Auto Pro, my Topdon scanner showed 5 trouble codes. After picking it up from them and having it run WAY worse, it now showed 21 codes. That alone tells you how badly they messed things up. I refused to bring it back to Seattle Auto Pro and instead had it towed to another shop I had prior experience with. They diagnosed and fixed the car the same day. They did not upsell me. They told me the O2 sensor had absolutely nothing to do with how the car was running. The real problem? A broken spark plug inside the cylinder -- which is insane considering Seattle Auto Pro had just "replaced" my spark plugs. The second shop was genuinely shocked at the condition my car was in after Seattle Auto Pro worked on it. They fixed it properly, charged me way less, and even gave me a warranty on their work. Seattle Auto Pro gave me a bigger bill and a car that was worse than when I brought it in. This could have been catastrophic for my engine if I had continued driving it or followed their advice and kept throwing random parts at it. Bottom line: Seattle Auto Pro either doesn't know how to properly diagnose cars or doesn't care. They upsell parts, misdiagnose problems, and send you off with an unsafe vehicle. Never, ever take your car here. I will never go back. F*** Favian! read more

Very unethical bidding - shop around and do not use these guys. We had four bids all about 20% less AND the woman at the front super rude and not very knowledgeable - more worried about being on Snap Chat. I had a headlight assembly replaced and they got me in and out quick for a reasonable price. The best part is the area around the headlight had been repaired by another shop previously after a fender bender but didn't look that good. When I got my car back with the new headlamp in they'd made the area around it look even better than before. It's great to find a shop that cares about quality work. Someone hit my car while I was parked on Belmont Ave at 6:30pm on 10/18/21. I had opened my door and was reaching over to get my dog when a woman plowed through my open door. She didn't stop until she got to the next block down. I got out and stared in shock. A neighbor shouted the make and model of her vehicle to me since it seemed as if she was planning on just driving away. I thought she must have been drunk to not only hit an open door on a well lit street but also to keep going like she did. She didn't even slow down! Meanwhile my dog freaked out and ran into oncoming traffic. I screamed and scrambled to get her out of harms way. Thankfully the driver behind the culprit stopped and offered to hold my dog while I assessed my damage. The culprit returned and acted as shocked as I was, claiming that somehow we shared mutual responsibility. I ignored this attempt to deflate and just got her info. After 45 mins or so of waiting for the police, I encouraged her to go and passed my dog off to my roommate who had arrived to take her home. My roommate then sat with me until the cops and tow truck arrived, both around 8:15. I gave the cops the info of the driver who hit me. My roommate suggested I have the tow truck take the car to Seattle Auto Pro, since they serviced her new Crosstrek and she was well pleased. My old CRV was taken and dropped off. I later found out that the culprit told the cops over the phone that we were both at fault, thus avoiding the ticket she was due. But my vehicle was considered a total loss. The door wouldn't close after what happened and the cost of labor and effort to locate parts exceeded the value of the vehicle. I called around to try and find help to no avail. Thankfully, the shop owner agreed to fix my 1999 CRV. He understood my financial situation and that I feel strongly that it would be wasteful to throw away a vehicle that is mechanically sound just because of a door. He made me an incredible deal and even had to get a part himself since I had trouble retrieving one from Binford in Kent (see that review for more details). Anyway, these guys and I chatted about the economy, housing, advocacy, schools, and their kids. They couldn't have been nicer or more down to earth. My old CRV looked comical in their shop next to Audis and Mercedes but they took it seriously. Thank you guys!!!! Always bringing my cars back to you - this one and the one that follows. read more

These people seem to mean well and i doubt they did this on purpose but they forgot to bolt my tires back in after they realigned my frame, so i had been unknowingly driving around with loose tires, then my ftont driver side wheel flew off while i was driving on i5 north, cost over $2000 out of pocket for repairs from that, and that wheel had supposedly hit another vehicle so now i have to deal with my insurance company about that. read more
