Finishing up our first dive and a sea turtle was so kind to give a photo opportunity
    Patrick M.

My father in law and I had a blast with Cody today experiencing the discovery scuba diving. He was very patient and knowledgeable with all of our questions. He spent the time and made sure we were comfortable in the water and sparked confidence in us to give things a shot even when we failed the first time. I'm 1000% sure I want to pursue getting my scuba certification and would recommend this outfit to anyone interested in exploring the world of scuba diving.

I have been diving with Seasport for ~9 years, at least every other year. While each time was great, this time was exceptional customer service wise. I am a certified diver, my fiancé has done some discover scuba courses with Seasport before, and we had a friend brand new to scuba joining. Since neither my friend or fiancé are certified, they did the brief intro course with Diver Dina, who was very reassuring and helpful during the practice session. We ended up diving with Cam since Dina unfortunately had a sinus issue (not safe to dive with sinus issues, it happens!), and we appreciated the shop's efforts in securing a new dive guide and making things work between certified/non-certified so that our dive didn't have to be cancelled. We were extremely lucky in that we had the ENTIRE boat to ourselves, no one else happened to book (private boats cost a lot but we got crazy lucky)! Our friend ended up not diving, but Seasport staff made sure he had snorkel gear to still enjoy the boat trip. Cam stayed with my fiancé (non-certified) and let me (certified) hover around nearby as long as I wasn't too far away. Cam was a very attentive guide and made sure my fiancé was safe and had all his gauges checked, and helped keep his buoyancy under control. Captain Ryan was also great. Very laid back and gave good, straightforward dive site briefings. We had a great time, saw some turtles, tons of fish, and heard humpback whales singing underwater! When we got back to the dive shop, we were waiting on friends to pick us up, who were unfortunately still over an hour away in Hanalei. Shop owner Marvin stepped in and offered us a ride back to our hotel. To be fair, we were the only ones in the shop and our hotel was only ~5 minutes away, don't expect this as a regular service if you book. We would have otherwise walked in the rain for quite a while after being exhausted post-dive. We really appreciated the kind gesture. That is the real aloha spirit! Always recommend this shop! Don't hesitate to book!

My husband had a fabulous time on his introductory ocean dive. I was not ready to go this time. His instructor Jeff was wonderful. After taking time to meticulously explain what he needed to know and expect, he took him out to the ocean, made sure he was comfortable, checked his ability to clear his mask and the regulator, then off they went on their first of two dives. Jeff was not only their underwater tour guide he was also keeping an eye on him. He always made sure of his comfort level, making sure both dives were an exceptional experience. Thanks for a great day!!!

    Morning dive with SeaSport.

Our dive master, Anthony, and boat captain, Jordan were both super friendly and knowledgeable. 11/10 highly recommend!

We booked a 2 dive boat tour with Seasport Divers with the Intro to Scuba for our 13 year old son to see if he would be interested in getting certified. He was sick on the day of our tour and then were understanding enough to rebook us for several days later at no cost. Our Diver Master was Sierra and she was great! Explained everything really well for my son and made him feel comfortable. He was really nervous beforehand but afterwards he said it was really fun. She took her time and made sure to show us all the sealife - turtles, moray eels, a lobster and of course tons of fish. Our boat captain was Cole. He was really nice. I was feeling motion sick after the second dive so he didn't waste any time getting us back to the dock. I would highly recommend them. Thank you for a wonderful day on the water!!!!

Absolutely very pleased using seaport divers. From making the reservations to the day we were at sea. They arranged for us to have a flower sea grass urn and flower petals to toss into the ocean. They were friendly, courteous & awesome. Highy recommend!

Captain Cole and Sea Sport Divers were excellent and compassionate at the scattering of my wife's ashes on her birthday 10/9/2025. My wife wished for us to see Honu's prior to her scattering and Captain Cole went to an area known for Honu's thereby meeting one of my wife's last wishes. The area Captain Cole took us to for the scattering was perfect and the scattering was wonderful. Captain Cole provided the scattering coordinates to Hawaiian Ash Scattering without delay and Devin provided the coordinates to me so I could add them to the Eternlife Memorial Map website. Sea Sport Divers does an excellent job and is highly recommended. Thanks again Captain Cole and Sea Sport Divers, David Cramer

Dove with them 15 years ago as a non cert diver and returned in Aug 2025 as a cert diver and had the same great lady take us out. What a wonderful company. Everything you would expect in a pro dive operation, safety, communication, excellent equipment. We had a great 2 tank afternoon dive. Everyone was just great. You felt like you were their first customer they were so enthusiastic. Cant wait to go back, Debbie is awesome as was the boat staff.

    With their instructor pre-certificaiton class

Such a wonderful experience diving with Seasport! My kids got certified with Amaley- she was so patient and wonderful, they had so much fun and are so excited to be divers. Our whole family got to do a 2 tank boat trip and it was outstanding! Special thanks to Capt. Kole, Debbie and Amaley- and Taylor at the dive shop. Seasport's incredible team made the whole experience from start to finish FABULOUS, especially since we were working on a tight timeline during the holidays.

    Steve M.

Capt Cody, DM Anthony, and the cool crew dude (my apologies for not remembering your name!) took us on an awesome adventure. Ni'Ihau and Lehua Rock are very special places.

A SCUBA trip is…read moremandatory (in my opinion) when visiting Hawaii and figured I would dive again at Koloa Landing and also decided to go with Scuba Steve again too. Koloa Landing: This site has such easy shore access that it made no sense to me to go elsewhere and get on a cattle boat with lots of people and also take a chance on getting sea sick. I had that experience on Oahu before and did not want to go through that again. There are so many things to see on this reef (like turtles, dragon and spotted eels, starfish, plus so many different colorful fish and coral). The shallow depth here allows for a couple of nearly one hour 2-tank dives. The visibility was good but not great during our dives - maybe about 45'. Lots of critters + lots of bottom time = great dive! I only wish I had worn a few more pounds of weight. Scuba Steve: SS is professional yet has a great sense of humor, he is simply fun to hang out with. He does an in-depth briefing with photos before the dives to go over all the things that are likely to be seen - which so much better than asking 'what was this and that' after the dive. Scuba Steve was so familiar with the reef it felt like we were getting a personal tour of his reef. He also had chairs and changed out the tanks for us between dives. He also had a fresh water shower to rinse the salt water off after diving. Very satisfied with the entire experience!

However, the weather was not cooperating on either side of the trip.. we got delayed 2 days by the winter storm PAX... then upon arrival to Kauai local storms and flash floods were occurring our first 2 days on the island. Needless to say the diving portion of the trip was abbreviated, BUT Steve went out of his way to accommodate us and I got in the Hawaiian Turtle Observer Specialty. If you have never scuba dived before but are an experienced snorkeler, it's definitely doable but you'll need to get used to the breathing in and out and using the scuba tank before you can thoroughly enjoy the experience. It took me a few extra to get acclimated to the breathing part. If you're not sure at first, it's okay. Our tour guide, Doug and his team were really patient and walked us through it. Once we got acclimated to it, we spent about 25 to 30 minutes touring and they pointed out fish and certain things to see. We got to see some honu and Doug even took pictures/videos for us with our own underwater camera. They provide all the equipment including water shoes and fins. They even have some corrective masks if you're near sighted which helped.

We were originally a group of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) but there weren't enough spots available. After booking online, Ryan promptly called to confirm and I explained that we needed 3 more spots. No problem. He added our friends and reached out to them as well to coordinate and didn't even take their payment in advance. About a week before our dive, Ryan called again to explain the upcoming weather (including a couple of big swell days) to see if we could switch days for better conditions. Despite his many other bookings, Ryan went above and beyond to accommodate ALL of us. It was at this time that I mentioned that my 9 year old scuba/snuba obsessed Autistic son wasn't the best swimmer and that he also had gotten a cold which we agreed might compromise his ability to equalize pressure at any depth. Admittedly, both of my kids had colds the week before leaving the mainland and this could have completely compromised our ability to even get to Kauai! Thankfully, our Covid tests all came back negative and we had no travel issues. Sadly, however, my son's congestion didn't much improve and I alerted Ryan by text that he and my wife would likely need to cancel. In the couple of days leading to the dive, I sent another few texts saying that we were going to show up and have my son try to equalize and then rescinded upon better judgment, despite the looming tantrum when we had to officially tell my son he couldn't do the dive. So when all was said and done, our reservation for 7 became a reservation for 4 as my wife, my son and my buddy's wife all had to cancel. And then my 11-year old daughter started getting nervous and threatened to cancel as well. Ryan graciously handled my back and forth calls and texts with professionalism and compassion. The location for the dive at Lawai Beach (Beach House Restaurant) is very easy to find and there is ample free parking directly across the street, either on the street or in a parking lot right there. There's also a public restroom and a neat little snack shack which was perfect for grabbing hotdogs, ice cream and really good shave ice after the dive. We met Ryan and his team at the Snuba Van which was parked right across from the beach and they outfitted us with gear and thoroughly explained the rules of diving to the kiddos and tailored them simply so the kids could understand (my buddy and I are already seasoned scuba divers). My daughter's nerves seemed to ease with Ryan's calm and friendly reassurance that we weren't going too deep or too far and that the mostly enclosed bay was perfectly safe. So in we went...the 4 of us and Ryan and his 2 wonderful assistants which clearly was a great ratio to ensure that our kids were well taken care of while my buddy and I could also enjoy the dive. At the beginning of the dive, my daughter had a tendency to float at the top with the float, dip below for a few breaths only to return to the float. After I mentioned to her that she should stay down, she did just that and we had an amazing 50+ minute dive together. LET ME JUST TELL YOU...diving is a wonderful hobby that takes you to another realm. Diving alongside your 11 year old daughter as she discovers how amazing it is and seeing the nervousness slip away with the current and replaced with fascination and absolute joy is an experience I will remember until the day I die. Ryan and his team were wonderful guides underwater. They had heard that a turtle had been spotted in the area just before our dive but try as they might, it had eluded them. But in the last 5 minutes of the dive, my daughter and I rounded an outcropping of coral to find it hiding underneath! What amazing luck! Ryan and SNUBA Tours of Kauai made for us an absolutely epic adventure. They took care of absolutely everything for us as a solid tour company should and went above and beyond to make everything absolutely perfect. Oh, by the way, Ryan took a bunch of photos of us all throughout the dive. Did he try to sell these to us for some extra dough like so many other tours? NOPE. He texted them to us within hours after the dive. And when I apologized again about all the back and forth with the reservation and the cancelations prior to the dive and mentioned that I understood that I'd be out the money for my wife and son's spots, Ryan very generously and graciously only charged me for me and my daughter. Tip top notch! A++++++++ experience.

Some things to be aware of: This cruise is on a catamaran; some of our party were expecting a small cruise ship that would have been a smoother ride. Waves are bumpy, and the windier parts of the trip resembled a mild roller coaster--if that's not your thing or you know you can experience some motion sickness, please factor that into your decision to book a trip. That being said, one person in our party experienced some light motion sickness and was really well cared for by the crew. We really appreciated their kindness and support. If you have sturdy sea legs and an adventurous spirit, I'd highly recommend this excursion. The views of Kauai from the ocean are worth it alone, but the information from the captain and crew about the island and its culture are also super valuable. The whole experience also felt very safe; the cruise will not go to areas with high wind/surf, and on our trip the captain explained why he was turning out of the wind/waves when he made that decision.

The team was knowledgeable, calm, and respectful of the whales, offering helpful context without over-talking. The boat was comfortable, well run, and the two-hour length felt just right. Our family of four had a wonderful time with a private boat tour…read more My wife and two adult boys snorkeled while I did a two-tank dive (both of them were a little over 60 minutes!). Eric and Carrie treated us like friends and through our conversations, we actually learned a lot about Kauai marine lives and more! And here's what I entered into my dive log book for reference :) Amazing first dive!! Eric and I dropped down at the deep end at 64 ft, then gradually made our way cruising up the reef. The marine lives were amazing. We saw two white reef tip sharks, a rare Guineafowl puffer, an elusive octopus that squirted ink on us as it tried to escape, an impressive size moray eel, a few turtles, lobster, and many other marine animals that I couldn't remember. Eric has an amazing ability to spot well camouflaged marine lives and I'm very thankful for his encyclopedic knowledge of Hawaiian fishes once we surfaced and Eric shared interesting history and information about the local marine ecosystem. The visibility of the second dive was amazing! The coral shelf was colorful and impressive, with lots of big corals that look super pretty and healthy. Before the dive, Eric spoke about invasive species and one of the notorious ones in Kauai is called the Crown of Thrones starfish, which is a super scary looking starfish with venomous thorn-like spines all over its body. They eat corals!! I asked Eric if we might see one, and he said he will try to look for one. And voila!! We stumbled upon a smaller one but it looks scary enough. Eric explained that one needs to be caught and killed with special training and equipment because its spikes are venomous and it would spawn when under attack, which might cause a bigger problem for the coral reef. In addition to the scary starfish, we also saw lobster, green turtles, and at the end of the dive, a very hard-to-spot but very cool to look at frog fish. I don't even know how Eric can spot it. It looks just like a piece of leave! Our boat was literally surrounded by green turtles when we all got back to the boat! All in all, another gorgeous dive!!
