Ned B.

I want great things for Snorkel Bob and his whole store. We couldn't get a spot on one of those pricey Na Pali Coast tours so instead we went to Snorkel Bob's and got set up promptly in a clear, polite, Covid-safe manner by the man running the store (maybe it was Snorkel Bob himself? Who knows). Got masks (the nicest ones), snorkels, and flippers for two people for $25. Honestly the paper handout with snorkeling tips written by Snorkel Bob was worth the price alone. "Snorkel meditation is a growth opportunity." Too true, Snorkel Bob. I went five minutes down the road to Koloa Landing and I saw a sea turtle swim right by me with my own eyes, and I only had to pay Snorkel Bob $12.50! Are you kidding! Total delight.

Great chairs for lounging

Conveniently located on the way to Poipu beach, stop into snorkel bobs for great service and a selection of beach essentials. They also have really cool photography prints for sale as well as books, towels, rash guards, and tees! Great service!!

Waterfall in cave

I've never been more impressed by the boat captains precision in navigating his boat through tight quarters. Rob, courageously backed it in pretty tight under a waterfall into a cave. He went the extra mile to make sure we were safe and had a great time. The peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were the best I've ever had too!

Sizing for snorkels!

When we rent snorkels in Poipu, we always go to Snorkel Bob's. Best pricing and great service. And the manager, Melissa, is super helpful!

There are only 4 passengers plus pilot. 2 spots in back seat and 2 spots in front seat with pilot in front. Could not see over control gauges and definitely could not take any pictures without parts of helicopter or passenger/pilot body parts showing. If I had know my seat position would be this, I would not have spent $400 on this hour venture. Very disappointed.

He even let us start with a quick prayer over the mics as we were lifting off. We flew with a group of four plus Preston. I sat in the front middle and was plenty warm in pants and a jacket. My friend was in the back with her husband and she was freezing in pants and a jacket, so wear layers in the winter - especially if you run cold. Despite the wind and light rain, Preston kept us steady and comfortable the entire flight and went out of his way to show us places we had hiked or planned to visit during our stay on the island. Doors-off was definitely the way to see all of God's beautiful creation without limits. Seriously, the parts of the island we couldn't have seen any other way were such a gift to see 360° from the air. Magnificent doesn't even begin to describe it. If you do one tour/tourist thing on Kauai, make it be this. You won't regret it. Thanks, Preston, for making our friend's 40th birthday unforgettable!

The check in process was well organized, and we got a clear and easy to understand safety briefing. The boarding procedure, based on where we sat, was also well organized. The ride itself was phenomenal. Our pilot, Robby, was very informative about Kauai, its landscapes, and its history. We saw many places that are only visible from air, such as the waterfalls used in Jurassic Park, Mount Waialele's crater, and some lush valleys. The experience of flying through Waimea Canyon was indescribable, as was flying along the Na Pali Coast. The views of both were absolutely priceless, and we got new angles and hidden areas that could never have been possible on the road or from the water. The soundtrack during the ride was also great. Overall, a highly recommended tour if you are in Kauai, especially as the majority of the island can only be viewed by air.

Flying over the Nā Pali Coast, Waimea Canyon, and waterfalls you can't even hike to was unreal, but having the doors off made it a completely different experience. The flight felt smooth, safe, and absolutely breathtaking. He shared great insight throughout the tour without overwhelming us, and he made sure we got the best views possible. Doing doors-off was unreal -- feeling the wind and seeing the Nā Pali Coast without glass in the way made it feel so raw and magical. The cliffs, waterfalls, and coastline looked like something out of a movie. We're still talking about it. If you're considering booking, just do it -- and definitely go doors-off. Huge thank you to Auntie Mae and Travis for such an unforgettable experience.

Captain Max was incredible--his sense of humor kept us laughing even as the rain and mist rolled in. The two women on the crew (I wish I could remember their names) were fantastic, making sure everyone was comfortable and answering all our questions with a smile. The playlist on board was spot on, setting the perfect vibe. I wish I could find it on Spotify! Despite the weather, the views were breathtaking, and getting a little drenched just added to the adventure. The food was delicious, especially the smoked pork, salad, and fresh fruit, and my husband loved the mai tais. Even without the sunset, the whole experience was magical. After chatting with other travelers, I'm convinced we had one of the best tours available. especially after talking to a couple at our hotel pool who had paid more than we did and only got snacks limited alcohol. I can't recommend Holo Holo Charters enough, and I'm already looking forward to trying their breakfast or snorkel cruise next time. If you're looking for an amazing adventure, this is it!

Price was $250 per person and we booked a couple days before the tour date. (we went at the end of March - the weather was fantastic and not too hot, also not raining). Although it was pricey, I felt like it was worth the experience and highly recommend anyone do a tour, even if it's not with this company. We got back to shore around 7-7:30pm, so total time was 5 hours ish. Pros: - the Na Pali coast is BEAUTIFUL - the views were truly a once in a life time experience for me and I saw the fullest rainbow I've ever seen - The tour guide was super informative, we learned a lot about whales, and they also taught us a lot about certain mountains and waterfalls that we passed on the Na Pali Coast (like where Kauai kings were buried). - We stopped to watch whales multiple times and it was really cool! - The 3 staff working on board the ship were extremely helpful in answering questions, providing drinks, and instructing people from a safety perspective - Safety - I felt very well taken care of the whole time. It's a barefoot cruise but people can choose to keep their shoes on if they want. They provided bags for people feeling nauseous and gave good advice when people were feeling seasick. - Food provided - it's not fine dining or anything (chicken teriyaki, salad, etc) but it does beat having to pack your own food or go hungry around dinner time. Also unlimited alcohol or nonalcoholic drinks. - The staff helped us take photos and there's a lot of great photo opportunities at the coast - Champagne toast at sunset, which was beautiful to watch out on the water - bathrooms available on board - My husband didn't feel like eating on board due to the motion sickness so they were kind enough to pack a to-go box for us! - Parking was easy and the meet up location was easy to find - we stood outside for most of the ride since it felt better than sitting inside, so we did get a bunch of sea-spray and got super wet from the 10 ft swells, but it felt really fun! Cons: - I think they need to put a huge disclaimer with statistics or something to show people how common it is for people to get seasick and vomit. I think maybe 5 people from our whole boat got really sick and either fell or vomited during the trip (can feel a little weird enjoying the beautiful view while someone smells like vomit next to you lol). They do tell you at the beginning that you can walk away and get a full refund after hearing the captain briefing during the meet up starting spot, but I don't think they really emphasize just how many people get sick. I personally felt fine but I felt really bad for people who had to gut through the five hour round trip feeling terrible. bring Dramamine!! This was definitely a highlight of my first time in Kauai, I wouldn't necessarily do it more than once due to the price, but it was a fantastic experience for the views!
