During a recent visit I had the Creamy Corn Soup, Risotto with Courgette Flowers, and Crème Brulee. The Soup was creamy with tender shredded briny crab and soft diced avocado. The Risotto was creamy and mixed with tender veggies and topped with a Courgette Flower in crisp tempura and filled with tangy goat cheese. Finally, the Crème Brulee was cool and creamy with a crisp layer of caramelized sugar on top. Overall, this was an enjoyable dinner experience. read more

We've enjoyed two dinners at Seasons. One in 2024 and the other in September of 2025. We like the menu of Asian flavors mixed with continental dishes. Last year I had the Miso salmon. This year I had BBQ spare ribs. Would order them again. My wife had the Hot Shrimp over noodles both times. The wine list was varied. Wife had the Gruner Veltliner and I had their Chilean red that was on special. Both were excellent choices. If I had to say something negative, it would be that in two years, the menu had barely changed. And the Shrimp Tempura was purchased, they should be doing their own tempura batter. read more

We were the only customers on a rainy Thursday evening. It was quiet and awkward. I ordered a spinach salad and tempura shrimp. The salad was perfect fresh and flavorful. The shrimp was just fried frozen shrimp not tempura batter at all. My daughter ordered a tuna salad which was disgusting canned tuna on top of lettuce. The appetizer was good the cream brûlée was ok. After reading a lot of good reviews on Yelp and Tripadvisor for this spot, I decided to make a reservation here for dinner on a Saturday night. It is located in a cute area near Jordaan, with a bunch of nice restaurants and shops. When we came here around 8:30, it was pretty empty while most other places were filled. We were seated right away and the waitress was attentive. The interior didn't not have a particularly great decor. The menu either had a 2 or 3 course menu option where you can choose from a few appetizers, entrees and desserts, or you can order a la carte. We chose and 2 and 3 course menus. The menu was pretty strange with dishes from a bunch of cuisines. For appetizers, we got the asparagus soup and the dutch pea soup. Both were pretty good but nothing too special. For my entree I ordered the traditional Dutch beef stew. The beef was very tender and tasty, but it was served with some either steamed or boiled vegetables that were in some sauce, which I did not enjoy. They also came with some fries that were nothing special. My mom ordered their miso salmon which was cooked well and she enjoyed. We then got a waffle that came with fried bananas and caramel, which was a little too sweet for us. Overall, I was pretty disappointed by this spot after having read so many good reviews. Both my husband and I eat gluten-free and there were many options available. They were clearly marked, which made it much easier for us. There was a robust wine list. We were late for our reservation but they had plenty of tables on a Thursday night. The "fish of the day" was Dutch shrimp with sea coral (I.e. Seaweed) and the waiter with glasses got mad at us when we kept asking what the fish was and when we pointed out that shrimp was not a fish so that's why we kept asking (we were dining with a native Dutch). That waiter got mad so they switched and the other waiter was really nice. I had miso "glaze" salmon with black garlic. I didn't see any black garlic. The miso glaze looked like clumpy peanut sauce that painted my salmon brown. The taste was two dimensional. The fig salad appetizer was too hot. I probably would not come back. read more

After an exhausting night of flying and a full day, we were wandering looking for a restaurant close to our B and B that looked cute. Seasons caught our eye immediately and the menu matched with just what we were looking for. The venue is small but thankfully we were lucky enough to snag a table. All the servers were outgoing, knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. The menu was explained to us - my husband ordered the 3 course prix fixe while I ordered a la carte. The pea soup was a meal in itself. Hearty with chunks of bacon, sausage and carrots. On a cold afternoon I would crave that with a chunk of French bread. But.... that was just a starter. The strawberry, blackberry and avocado salad was so fresh and the dressing made it even more amazing. Loved the salmon/mushroom dish which was served with a miso dressing over rice. And, the dessert could well be the best ever. A Belgium waffle, hot, with bananas foster, ice cream and a dish of caramel. I thought of taking a picture, however, after one bite we couldn't stop. Just take my word for it ..... wow. I told my husband that it was too bad that we had to find the perfect restaurant on the first night. This delicious restaurant is located on the cozy Herenstraat, and there are a number of cool ships in the area. They serve seasonal dishes cooked with fresh and delicious ingredients. The vegetables were very fresh, but it wasn't as filling. We ordered tea and coffee and it came with a yummy morsel - passion fruit mousse. Service: 5/5 It has been a very long time since I've had service that met my American standard, and this was amazing service that surpassed that! The staff checked on us several times, answered all our questions, and even *gasp* asked us how our meal was!!! I had made reservations for the prix fixe menu here which is basically a 2 course meal (appetizer/entrée or entrée/dessert) that you buy one, get one free. All I have to say is that I am so happy we didn't pay full price for this sub-par meal. The a la carte prices were not cheap and the food was not good. Seriously, a gem. What a find... Saw other reviews of it here, and kept passing till my 18 year old very savvy daughter insisted this was the place we should have dinner. She was right. Exceptional - a starter composed of 'Pear Pecorino Aubergine and Walnut Salad' - a warm delight that I would never have thought of as a combination and I'm a serious foodie. Fantastic. Nothing failed, we had delightful main courses, the wine list in small but carefully and well chosen and the staff, on our night, Miloud and Maya, could not have been more attentive and considerate. Miss this and please do not tell me, in the future, that you found no brilliant restaurants in Central Amsterdam. This, most certainly, is one of the very best anywhere. We walked by last night and we were so excited to see a Thanksgiving menu! We were able to get a table and enjoyed a very tasty thanksgiving dinner. You could chose between three or four course and with or without wine pairing. The butternut squash soup was different but quite good. It has Asian spices and rice in the soup. It reminded me of a Thai soup. Unexpected but good. The pear and blue cheese salad was fresh and I loved the roasted pears and hazelnuts. The main course was a big plate of food including turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing/dressing, green beans, snap peas, Brussel sprouts with pancetta, cranberry sauce, and gravy. Wow. It hit the spot for what I was craving. Dessert was a pumpkin pie (I might have called it a pumpkin toast but the flavor of the filling was on point), and then shared pecan tart, creme brûlée, fruit salad, and some macaroons. Hmmmmm last night in AMS and one last meal...where do we go? Thankfully my lovely friend suggested Seasons. We peeked at the menu and from then on I kept checking the time to see if it was time to eat. We both opted for the 3 course pre fixe. And I will warn you it is a lot of food. There is no such thing as a small plate here. I had the deconstructed ceasar, inside out Wellington, and the winter fruit pancake. I wasn't so crazy about the desert perhaps because I polished off all of my other plates, but the rest was stellar. The plating has just enough whimsy to make things interesting and delivers on flavors. I do recommend a reservation being that it seems to be a popular place and it's also a small venue. It was a few days before Thanksgiving and we saw there was a special Thanksgiving menu and were sorry we were going to miss it. read more

We had dinner here on our first night in Amsterdam. The food was excellent, and portion sizes were generous. I had the fish of the day, which was a pan-seared cod on a bed of lentils. It was cooked perfectly. The Dutch pea soup was also delicious. The one thing that was strange (and slightly annoying) is that there was a small dog in the restaurant...I'm not sure if it belonged to a patron or an employee, but it was sitting next to each table and begging for food. For the starters you can have soup, delicious salads and creative dishes! I took figues with goat cheese a honey sauce and Spanish jam. As second course I took grilled tuna, amazingly fresh. We had dinner here for New Year's Eve. It was quite good and so was the service. I was a little irritated by the dog that came out; not so much by the dog but the fact that the table right next to us was petting the dog and keeping him very near by. We stumbled upon this restaurant and consider ourselves very fortunate for having done so. The service was superb - polite, professional, and yet very friendly. All really made us feel welcome. We began with the corn soup with a shrimp & crab salad and the blue cheese, butternut & barley salad. Both were larger portions than we expected and were most delicious. For our main course I had the mixed grill: a rib-eye skewer with a chimichurri sauce, sambal marinated chicken skewer, and shrimp seared in garlic, chili's and olive oil. The meat was extremely tender and I loved the sauces. Be warned that the sambas sauce and the chilis in the olive oil both have quite a kick to them however, so if you do not like hot food, this may not be the dish for you. Mark had the grilled Harissa shrimp and quite enjoyed his dinner also. Although I had no room for dessert, the waiter talked me into a coffee, because he said it also came with a small dessert.
