In the heart of the Adirondacks, it was a pleasure to come to this full-service diner with a deep menu and an attentive wait staff. Whether you choose to order right off the menu or customize your meal, this place gets it right. The coffee cups don't ever go empty and there is enough variety to please just about anyone.

Very affordable and homey diner/cafe. Stopped in with my little family after leaving old forge! The service was unbelievably great with one waitress who was attentive to every table. She made sure we were doing okay with our experience & drinks were never empty. Also patient with our 2 year old daughter & gave her some crayons and a coloring book. The food was good! My fiancé ordered a meat lovers omelet, my daughter had French toast & I had a turkey club. They serve breakfast and lunch from 6am-1:30pm if I can remember right which was a plus because I wasn't really feeling to eat any breakfast at the time we went. Great little place! Stop by if you happen to pass it!

This is the first stop entering the western Adirondack Mountains. It's a cabin style restaurant with good food for breakfast and lunch. The coffee is good, too, and the owners are very nice. This place is clean and comfortable.

I love to help folk who want to avoid bad restaurants and especially to have excellent culinary experiences. I am grateful for others who lead me to memorable dining spots. This is one of them. One Arabian Night is tucked away in a scrappy part of Utica, NY. It's a Yemeni place so authentic at one point the chef came out during a call to prayer, unrolled a little rug and prayed. It's a beautiful thing. People being authentic and showing devotion. These guys are also devoted to flavor, and very generous portions at very good, honest prices. I got the succulent mixed lamb, which had chopped veggies and little pieces of roast potatoes. The dish came with a HUGE "sheet" of freshly baked flat bread with sesame seeds (as big as a pizza) WHO DOES THAT?! Side dishes were a fresh chopped salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion and lettuce with lemon juice and parsley, a bowl of very tasty lamb broth and a spicy chutney. I was blown away. When I was there it was catering only to Arabic families and men amiably chatting and eating with their hands. I was taught by my mom to respect other cultures and do as they do: so I observed the locals a little and dug in -ripping bread off and using it to grab finger fulls of food. It was wonderful. They also have an urn of self-serve sweet spiced tea to help make this a unique and unmissable dining experience in Utica. Go! And please leave your xenophobia behind. This ancient civilization (one of the world's OLDEST) has something to teach the most hardened burger-chomping American.

I've only ever ordered delivery but it's always delish! I'll make sure to dine in soon.read more

My fave is Orange cream. (Who my try to kid I love them all) the ones with nuts or the plain JUST TO MUCH TO CHOOSE.. Great tasting sweets and made in Old Forge NY. They also sell candy cigarettes and that's an old time candy. They do sell other things as well. They don't just sell candy you can get a stuffed animal while your there. Really it is also a souvenir shop. But popcorn and candy is why I keep going back. Small store with a small town charm. In addition we bought some cappuccino truffles for another night with a great bottle of red wine. Service was amazing. They gave us samples, we were lucky to be on a Wednesday during the fall season when it wasn't so busy, but it felt like somebody's mother's kitchen while we were there! Small place, very welcoming, and it seemed like many people were congregating near the kettle corn which we did not sample or buy. Fun day, welcoming town and now enjoying our fudge!
