ivey style diner. You have the option to sit at the counter also. Eggs Benedict were awesome. Thick piece of ham and homemade hollandaise sauce. Homemade bread across the board. Mushroom 4 egg omelette was also good. Great prices and service! Cash only.

Worst restaurant I've been to by far. I put in an application two weeks ago today was my first day and I'm already gone. So EMBARRASSING the way the owner spoke to me this morning in front of costumers!! Today was supposed to be my training day and my trainer was a no show so I was the only waitress there and the owner is the only other person working there, I was told she wouldn't be able to help me and that I needed to learn on my own and she didn't have time for my answer. Sad. Sad. Sad. I'm really disappointed. When I was told she was a hard person to work for I thought that meant she keeps you on your toes boy was I wrong. This place and owner has toxic and bitchy written all over. Go on your own will but me personally never again. I now understand why nobody is working there. Photo proof down below showing I wasn't properly trained.

Eggs with home fries, Canadian bacon & whole wheat toast

My husband & I were out for a motorcycle cycle ride on a Sunday morning. He took me to this restaurant for breakfast. It was packed. We were seated right away. The waitress was attentive & friendly. We both got the eggs over easy, home fries, Canadian bacon & toast. The Canadian bacon was thickly sliced & well cooked. The eggs & home fries were good but the home made bread toasted stole the plate. Great breakfast spot.

Unfortunately, politics are loudly spoken here. That is the reason we stopped going.

Good food and service. It's a small town place with the charm you would expect. I hit it whenever I'm in the neighborhood.

Cute place with decent food. No atm on site so make sure you have cash. Could use a deep cleaning throughout the restaurant.

This used to be THE place to go for a hearty early breakfast before / after fishing or hunting…read more The location is amazing, by a river full of large rocks and pools that are fun to explore (be careful!). Nearby are ponds with launch access. Years ago we enjoyed this "camp-type" diner for the conversations among patrons and pony-tailed Dave, the owner. Hashbrown casserole was a guilty pleasure. We enjoyed the fresh fried donuts, especially the chocolate-covered old-fashions. Then we'd drive up rte 28 to Old Forge and beyond. But...the last time we visited there was very harsh fluorescent lighting in the front room. The back room was dark and empty. And No hashbrown casserole! The young waitress told us that Dave had retired. Ah. I hope the new boss will infuse this historic diner with new life to keep it alive. Of course good food and friendly discussions must continue. But they need to clean everything, add fresh items, and maybe use lighting* that fits the rustic camp character. Play UP the historic old wood features like the bar and cooler. Maybe add woodsy scents. Easy. I still recommend stopping here for breakfast on the way north to OldForge. (You will not find much else anyways!). After breakfast, go around the corner to check out the wild rocky clean stream...like people have been doing for hundreds of years. *Photos from 6yrs ago show that the fluorescent lights were already there. IDK why they made the room ugly this time. Perhaps installing half warm-white tubes is all that's needed.

They have the best homemade donuts, called ahead for 4 dzn. Made that morning. Haven't had…read morebreakfast here yet, but I hear it's very good.
