The restaurant in in Suwannee at their town center. It's massive with plenty of seating and a nice bar area. They offer a social hour menu (happy hour) so we took advantage of the amazing deals on there. We had some oysters, calamari, and mussels. Everything so super fresh tasting and delish. I came here with my in law just to get some vittles. I was impressed on the entry. The have a beautiful baby blue colored sign displaying it's name on the side of a building painted white. It appears that this would be a family setting because the tables and booths were really large We were kindly greeted and seated a beautiful soul by the name of Lupita came over and took care of us. She claims that she's new on the job but she handled her position like a seasoned waitress. I ordered the the seafood platter that came with a medium sized salad. I choose fried catfish fried oysters, and fried calamari. They give you a choice of three, two, or one entree with the price for each. Shrimp was in the list as well. My food was really delicious. I have gotten away from fried food but I was on vacation and in the south so I enjoyed my time. The tartar sauce was the best I've ever tasted, it paired wonderfully with the catfish. I was given ketchup for the oysters. I ordered cocktail sauce which is a better compliment for my oysters and calamari. I could not eat it all. I guess I should have not eaten the salad. And the hush puppies is a part of any seafood platter, in fact if you don't have hush puppies, you don't have a real seafood platter. I SAID THAT! So I had two small sizes hush puppies. My in-law had a chicken patty platter that consisted of a pineapple ring and cheese, accompanied by French fries. Service is very weird here. The first time, our server made very awkward conversation in lieu of answering any questions about the menu clearly. The second time, the server seemed miffed about our large party and very scattered. Then there was the $100 credit card charge I had to call and get removed. Apparently happens all the time so if you reserve for a small party, make sure you're not getting double charged. Things NOT to get: the Bloody Cala-Mary appetizer, the sangria bowl to share, tarragon cucumber lobster roll. The design and setting are very nice, feels like you're at the beach! My boyfriend and I arrived for an early dinner and chose to sit on the spacious covered outdoor area. After I ordered wine and he got a beer, the waitress gave us a few minutes to go over the menu. They offer a wide variety of meals for an oyster bar, so I know we'll have to come back. We ended up ordering the New Orleans charbroiled oysters and they were PHENOMENAL. With the lemon juice and hot sauce they provided, it was like an explosion of flavors in every bite. For the entree, we split the Sob Platter, choosing the blackened shrimp and fried catfish. The shrimp was my absolute favorite part of the platter. It also came with slaw, hush puppies, and fries, which all tasted great and paired perfectly with each other. They should probably have an area where idle servers can congregate out of sight of customers who are waiting on their server or anyone else to get them a check. We visited Seaside Oyster Bar (SOB) while we were in town for happy hour after a craving for oysters. Their $1 happy hour oysters were fantastic. Quality was great, the oysters were very fresh. Not pre-shucked either. The rest of the happy hour menu was OK. We also really enjoyed SOB's fried catfish dish. It's a large portion that's shareable for two. Service is great. Our server actually recommended the catfish plate which we ended up liking alot. She checked on us quite frequently and was very cheerful. Near the end of our meal, the manager came over to speak with us after hearing it was our first time. He came over to thank us for trying them out and offered a coupon to come back next time for a free appetizer. The vibes are chill. They have patio seating that's dog friendly and with heaters too. The food was very good. Went about mid day on a Wednesday and it was busy at all. The waitress was very welcoming and kind. The food was good and made me want to try other items. They have a brunch, lunch and dinner menu along with happy hour specials. We sat on the patio and it was very comfortable and spaced out. For appetizers we got the Cajun friend rice and pimento cheese which were absolutely delightful. The lobster roll could have used a little more creamy sauce along with the Nola pasta needing a little more butter sauce, but both were fulfilling. It's a nice restaurant in the middle of no-where Georgia. They have a small indoor seating area and a covered outside area and an open outside area. I got a cup of their seafood chowder and the blackened redfish with a smoked old fashioned. The drink was very good. Maybe a little sweet, but I was impressed this restaurant in bumble**** had large ice cubes. Anyway, the drink was really good. The chowder was probably my favorite. It was thick, and hit and delicious. The redfish was good, but the gravy was like a sausage gravy (maybe it was a sausage gravy) and while good, it was overpowering. I think it would be better with the gravy on the side. The blackened fish was good without the sauce but the gravy would have helped the grit cake. Also, the potatoes were more like breakfast potatoes than dinner potatoes. They were good but they just didn't go with the meal. Anyway, it was a good meal. Nothing special overall but good. Service was decent but again, nothing special. All in all, I would come back but I'm not in any rush to do so. Apologies for any typos or bad grammar. Finally got to try this spot out, for my birthday dinner too, and it was awesome! Really impressed on my first stop in and kind of disappointed I haven't been sooner now. Got a half dozen oysters that were just excellent. Medium meat and brine with no grit. Just perfect! Also got the snow crab legs which were also well done. You have to do the work yourself but it's worth it. A nice touch is they give you a pair of chefs runner gloves to use. I liked that because my hands didn't smell like crab after the meal. We started with the seafood poutine which truthfully tasted like a clam chowder soup poured on French fries topped with shrimp mussels, bacon & cheese . Just a whole lot going on that by the time you manage to start eating the FF are Mush and you're just eating the mussels and shrimp . It tasted very rich but also a lot going on maybe even too much going on. Our Entrees were good . My sister went for the braised ShortRibs & I went for the seafood grits with shrimp I would have enjoyed it better without the tomato chutney. But presentation was excellent. Our drinks were amazing I love a good smoked old fashioned and it was executed perfectly. The atmosphere is really nice love the color scheme and decore and definitely love the outdoor seating options with the fire. Everything was a 10/10! We got seated right away and our server was very attentive to us, we never had to look for him or flag him down. We started off with the mussels and fried green tomatoes. The mussels were nice and tender and had really great flavor. That was my first time trying mussels and I would definitely get them again. The coating on the tomatoes tasted like funnel cake, which may sound weird but it paired perfectly with the freshness of the tomatoes, so yummy. For my entree I got the lobster roll and my friend got the seafood boil. My roll was packed with lobster on a soft butterfly bun and the fries it came with were some of the best fries I've ever had. My friend said her boil was really good. For dessert we both got the crème brûlée and it was not bland or flavorless at all, it was creamy and had a nice sweet vanilla taste. I had the beach punch for a drink and it was okay, my friend had the lychee drink and she really liked it. Overall this place was amazing, loved it and will definitely be back! read more

Service was good, and she explained everything about the menu. We started with drinks and appetizers. I got a strawberry champagne mojito in a glass. Wasn't my favorite, but I let my husband finish it for me lol. They also offered the drink in a massive shell, which I haven't seen, but apparently they do. We got two appetizers, fried calamari and hush puppers. Both great starters, as it took 35 minutes for our seafood tower to come. (It states it on the menu) It was about $108 market price as of 10/22/23 for the whole tower, which was a good price. It came with snow crab, lobster, oysters, a smoked fish dip (best I've had), tuna tartare, blue crab claws, and shrimp all chilled on ice. All in all, if you're a seafood lover, this could be your next lunch/dinner/happy hour place to come to. We went to Seaside Oyster Bar (SOB for short which I think is hilarious!) for lunch on a Wednesday and Brandon both seated us and was our server. He was fantastic...friendly and humorous. We sat out on the covered patio which this time of year was lovely! We ordered drinks (a Bloody Mary and a lemon drop martini) and an order of Bloody Cala-Mary (their calamari). The drinks were perfect (although my mother in law would have liked the Bloody Mary spicier, but that's on us as we forgot to tell Brandon to make it spicy!) and the calamari was delicious...crispy and tender at the same time. For main course my MIL ordered fish and chips and I got a hot lobster roll. The fish and chips were plentiful and had a nice crisp to them. Now let's talk about the lobster roll...it was the best one I've had since being in Boston a few years ago!! The roll was buttery and had a slight crunch and the lobster pieces were generous and very well seasoned. I ate every bite! I'm already craving another one two days later! Also, I need to shout out the pickles they serve on the side with the lobster roll...I could eat a vat of them!! I love the decor at this place too...just a cool seaside feel. I went with a large group of about 20 that all ordered different things. No one was disappointed with the taste of their meal. Very attentive wait staff that did their best to accommodate all of our requests. Every dish was delightfully presented. They really get the eyes feast first concept here. The raw oysters were a hit with one in our party who grew up gathering her own as a child. That speaks volumes for me. I ordered Seafood pasta with blackened red fish. I must admit I was a bit disappointed the red fish wasn't presented as a filet but more my fault than anything. Maybe the menu should describe the fish is cubed. I thought it was chicken when served. Maybe even a photo would have prepared me better. I was the last in the group served and the temperature of my pasta was "warm". The seasoning was such it made up for it being a bit spicy. I ate every morsel. Will I return? You bet! I look forward to coming with friends. Best part for me was the ladies room with clean! Beautiful decor throughout the restaurant, too.
