I had an oversized book vending machine that needed to be moved across our school campus and off a pallet. We were also hoping to fit it into a library that I was only 75% sure it would fit into. It had been sitting on the pallet for months as we couldn't find anyone to tackle the project. I was put in touch with Nicholas from Seaside Movers on a Wednesday and they had the oversized machine moved, off the pallet and into our library on Friday! Very friendly, made sure I had it exactly how I wanted it before they left (made sure the outlet had clearance, the cord was lined up etc) and cleaned up all the pallet pieces on their way out. Hired this company that I found on the uhaul website. I was a little skeptical at first because it's a small business. The response time was ok. Owner seems friendly. They do bring some equipment, like dollys, to help the move. The day of the move they were running about 30 minutes behind but they were good at communicating. Hired them for 2 hours but they finished in a little over 1 and they were able to attend the community bbq! Would definitely recommend! I hired Seaside Movers for my recent move from SoCal to East Bay and was totally satisfied. I've moved quite a few times from one state to another and within the same state also. I have always paid full-service moving company thousands of dollars to do all the work. This time I decided to rent a U-Haul and move by myself since I couldn't justify paying big bucks for a relatively small move. I found Seaside movers through U-Haul's website and saw stellar reviews on Yelp. I decided to book with them right away for unloading my belongs in East Bay. The communication was great! Someone contacted me right away on the phone and followed up throughout the entire process during my move. On the day of unloading, two friendly and professional guys called in advance and showed up on time. My building is complicated with all the doors of restricted access. They were very experienced and figured out a feasible plan quickly. I booked a two hour job but they finished it in just one hour. They helped me put my bed together and arrange some of my futures as well. My money was well spent because I had a hassle free and stress free move. Booking was easy and movers came on time and was pretty efficient. One of the mover was a bit chatty which made me wonder if that was the reason they didn't finish loading the uhaul. But they were able to bring everything down from the 26th floor and I spent an additional 30 mins loading it myself. It probably would of taken them 10-15 mins with the both of them but they already exceeded their 'grace period.' They did drop a box or bag during the move which sounded like something might have broken. When I asked him about it he said everything was OK. After finally unpacking I noticed that the screen to our Mac Pro was cracked. I notified the owner about the damage but didn't ask for compensation to fix it (he didn't offer to fix it either). Overall they are pretty cheap for movers in the Bay Area and did an overall good job. Just be sure to carefully pack your fragile items and pad it if you book them. read more

Alan and Lorenzo were super human fast, professional, and fun! They loaded and unloaded my entire one bedroom apartment in a little under 2 hours! I'm not the best packer, so the boxes weren't super organized and things were all in one place, yet they were able to put things in my new apartment in a more orderly way! I had a fantastic experience with Seaside Movers, and would use them again. I would also recommend this company to any of my family or friends. I hired them to unpack my Uhaul truck that I drove from Arizona to the Bay area a couple of weeks ago. The owner called to secure my date and time, and was extremely flexible when I needed to adjust. Josh and Jalen showed up promptly at the confirmed time, and were SO courteous, thoughtful, and caring; even more, they moved as quickly and carefully as they could to unload my truck in the allotted time, and were both willing to place my items (or move them) wherever I wished. They even moved a heavy package (110 lbs) up my stairs, which was not part of the truck unloading. It was raining and there were no complaints, and they were careful not to track dirt/water inside. For my move, I knew I was going to need help unloading my truck after a long drive up from LA overnight. I called to make a reservation about a week in advance and Nick answered the phone; he reassured me they could help and though the earliest they usually start moves is 9am, Lorenzo and Denzel came at 8am as requested! They gave me a call about an hour before to make sure everything was going according to plan, and whew! I had just made it to my new apartment. I seriously can't believe how fast they moved - in ONE hour they were done with what took ~3hours to load. They were careful, courteous of my new neighbors, and had great energy. They asked where I'd like furniture placed, use cushions and blankets to make sure nothing was damaged, and even closed up my truck after the move was done. I HATE moving but they made it so easy. I was particularly worried about a large dresser I have - it's heavy, it's white, and it's from ikea. A mover's worst nightmare! But they got it up to the top floor of my building like nothing. Like I told Lorenzo and Denzel... I am really impressed! Would definitely recommend seaside movers and will use them again (but hopefully I won't need to) read more

These guys are the best!! From the start, with a confirmation call after we booked, to the day of move in, everything went so smoothly. On the day of, we had Denzel and David helping us move in to a three story townhouse. They were early and super polite, plus they were extremely efficient. They had a 26 foot uhaul cleared, plus helped us move an old washer/dryer out of the 2nd story and put ours in, in a little over two hours (the truck took 4 hours to load in New Mexico by someone else). These guys work hard and make sure the job is done right. I felt terrible that we had so much heavy furniture, but they moved it all without a single problem. Kenny and Lorenzo were FANTASTIC. It's been a couple of months since Seaside Movers helped me on my move from Oakland to SoCal, and I'm taking the effort to add an extended review on Yelp bc these guys were the BEST part of the entire stressful experience. I had hired them through UHaul and bc UHaul sucks and delivered my UBox several weeks late (without notice), I only recently accessed my UBox. Let me tell ya, Kenny and Lorenzo (and Nicholas who facilitated via phone) were communicative, on time, hardworking, polite and overall awesome on the day of the move; but it wasn't til I opened up my UBox more than a month later that I saw the amazing job they did in packing my things. Everyone had warned me to be prepared for damaged items bc the Ubox itself is so flimsy, but there was not one scratch on any of my belongings, neither from them nor from the actual move via UHaul. I credit it entirely to Kenny and Lorenzo (UHaul, however, sucks, oops did I mention that already). These guys are awesome. Great experience. read more

Things got really messy when the U-Box fell apart in Oakland (U-Haul had supplied a really terrible condition box). Had it not been for the incredible dedication of these guys, I have no idea what would have happened to my all of my belongings (U-Haul certainly wouldn't have been looking out for me). Nicholas and Lorenzo spent 3 hours waiting with my stuff in a U-Haul parking lot in Oakland until I was able to find someone at U-Haul to fix this problem. I have used this company 3 times so far and Everytime I have had such an amazing experience with these guys. Nick the owner is great. I had a last minute move and he was able to squeeze me in luckily and he worked with me while some stuff was being finalized with my move. Steven and Allan moved all my stuff from one place to the other so fast, and they were very clean and well organized. they were done in an hour and a half, they made sure to offer any other help before they finished their job, and even I asked them if they could kindly take the garbage for me before they leave, and they already did it. I told them how I had such a great experience using the company the last 2 times and they said they really take pride in working fast and safe and try to make everything less stressful for the customers. Even though Everytime I have used their services I have gotten different people, the service is all the same, fast, friendly and great job done! These guys are great! They are both efficient, and really good at what they do. Had we not rented a uhaul truck that was too small, they would've been done with everything in the time allotted. Alas, it was our mistake, yet they were happy to accommodate and do 2 trips at a VERY reasonable price, and without charging for mileage! Nicholas, and Lorenzo were extremely courteous, and both super fast, and careful when loading up our things. Nicholas even provided some much needed gear when packing our things into the shipping trailer at the other end. Talk about going above and beyond! Thanks Josh and Allen!! The two guys I had from this company were, PHENOMENAL!!! I don't believe most movers out there would match their dedication to the job. They arrived 10mins. early with tools and hand-truck, very thoroughly explaining their work/time criteria. From beginning to end. After moving two pieces of furniture from the storage facility. There were over 10 rats living in the furniture. The guys were reluctant but, they pressed on and salvaged what boxes they could. The furniture was decimated beyond recovery. It was stained and dis-colored with a pungent stench that was unreal. Also, completely covered in rodent feces. When we asked the storage facility(StorQuest in San Leandro) about having someone come out to exterminate and remove the destroyed furniture. They replied, "That's not our problem. It's your storage unit. We will charge you if you do not remove your things by the due date. By the way, you do have insurance on your unit that covers everything. UNLESS, it's animal damage. Then it only covers up to $400." My furniture was easily valued over $2,500. However, the storage I had in the unit was fine approximately a month ago. A guy three units down from me moving out had the same issue going on. So, the movers were nice enough to put all of the infested furniture back into the unit so I could call other guys to come pick it up and dump it. (Money wasted!!) Anyway, the movers followed me to my destination with the items that I could take away and help me unpack and place in my new place. You will not find good service like this anywhere else! I couldn't be more satisfied with our moving experience today! I have to admit I was very nervous about putting our nice furniture into a moving truck, but Allen and his partner were amazing. I was in awe of how efficiently, yet meticulously they moved and packed our furniture and boxes! I never knew loading a moving truck was an art--like human Tetris, Allen somehow stacked everything so that it fit snugly and securely. We arrived at our destination and not a single thing had moved! All of our items arrived intact, without a scratch on them. I don't want to move again anytime soon, but if I did, I'd without a doubt use their services again. Nicholas and his crew were BY FAR the best part of our experience in using two U-Boxes from U-Haul to move halfway across the country. Sea Side Movers charges a flat $200/U-Box. For each box, for us, that meant they picked it up from U-Haul (with their truck), brought it to our place, unloaded it, and returned it. And most importantly, they (not me) dealt with the perpetual incompetence that is the U-Haul Corporation. Nicholas was great at communicating terms of the service and kept me updated. He was prompt, friendly, and careful with our stuff. They had our two boxes delivered and unloaded in less than four hours. Seriously, what more can you ask for? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys and plan to use them again. You should too! read more
