I found it odd that this wasn't disclosed, whether by oversight or intention. During my most recent visit, I requested to opt out of that same eye test due to it not being covered. I was informed that if I declined, the doctors would not see me and I would be charged as a no-show. This policy was never clearly communicated, which I found both surprising and misleading. Another issue arose when I needed a new prescription but wanted to keep my existing frames. I was told there would be a handling fee. This was a first for me--I've never encountered a handling fee simply for using my own frames. While my insurance does cover part of the cost for new frames with a prescription change, I prefer to reuse my current frames to save money, especially since I have multiple pairs including sunglasses and computer glasses. The staff's communication left a lot to be desired. When I raised my concerns, I was told, "You are more than welcome to see another provider in town; we are not forcing you to stay here." They're right--and I will be doing just that. Hopefully the doctors see there is an issue with their staff and communication.

Today I'm reviewing Costco's Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke, which I've bought countless times in the past and even on a regular when I lived in Reno. What I love about Costco's Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke is that it's consistently fresh every time! I've never had a bad batch, spoiled batch, nor a fishy smelling batch ever. The taste and season is consistent and can be paired with many different dishes. For people who steer away from it because it says wasabi, have no fear, I assure you it's not spicy hot like you imagine wasabi to be. My favorite is to have it with some plain ol jasmine rice--one of my staple meals for protein as I'm a pescatarian and meal prep time is pretty much non existent besides cooking of the rice. It's fast and easy and a great value for some quality tuna.

The parking lot isn't a total disaster. You can (almost) always find a good place to park. It's never too crowded. And you do get tremendous value when you buy in bulk. (That's what they say right?) The only thing that this Costco could do to improve is to offer sushi. Costco sushi is one of our favorites and this location doesn't have it. But other than that, this Costco is great.

Melanie reassured me the email is working but I'm still getting the same message that says, "this email does not exist." She gave me a number to call on Monday when they're open. I shared a photo below of the weird message she left underneath this review. "If this is a legitimate complaint, you WILL reach out." Well I've tried to email the email Melanie provided to me multiple times and it still doesn't exist. So I will be calling this number to see if this situation gets resolved. I will update this post as the situation continues because this will happen to someone else and you will be talked to just like this. If the manager talks to customers like this online, I can understand why the staff is disrespectful as well. It makes me uncomfortable that the manager is questioned whether my complaint is legitimate or not when I have shared the complete sequence of events I experienced that month. And I will be posting all screenshots of proof so that no one has to go through this traumatic experience the same way. This is completely unprofessional and inappropriate.

I seemed to figure out what was wrong with my eyes before my previous optometrists, and they insisted that my prescription could even be too strong. They made me feel like a burden, and often would cut my appointment short to set up another recheck appointment. I eventually got fed up and went to Dr. Greene. His office is not only warm and inviting, but his staff are as well. Their equipment is SO MUCH NICER! It measures everything more quickly and accurately, and to be honest, a lot less stressful. I also like that the equipment can take photos which can be saved to your chart as a visual timeline of your eye health instead of relying on written notes alone. because the equipment measures your eyes, you don't ever have to worry about someone stabbing you in the eye or blowing air until your eyes are crusty. you also don't need those eye drops that burn your eyes. while having the best experience I've ever had at an eye exam office, I was also validated by the staff that listened to my stories of previous experiences and was met with reactions that co firmed I wasn't just crazy or wrong about my need for a prism prescription. Dr. Greene explained everything clearly to me and I never felt rushed through my exam at any time. And he's nice! I can just tell he's a great guy, a family man that loves what he does for them and his community. I opted for a pair of neurolens glasses, which came with its own VR headset made to measure your eyes movements and focus. But even after the machine suggested a prescription, Dr. Greene double checked manually to confirm it. My last Dr. used old school prism blocks in a wood storage box, which didn't help at all. Dr. Greene actually had the lenses to put into his equipment to make it as smooth of an experience as someone with mild nearsightedness. When I went to pick out some frames, I tried a new shape and material over what I would usually wear to try something new. After a couple weeks, I contacted the office asking if I could replace the frames with a style I usually wear, as the ones I initially chose kept sliding down my nose from being too heavy on my face, as well as hurting my ears. They replaced them for free, and took only two weeks. They even let me keep the first pair until the second pair came in. Next time I definitely want to see about contact fitting since they offer dry eye treatments. maybe now I can wear contacts when I want to!

The eye exam part was smooth but is a different company so I will leave a separate review there. But I will say here that I recommend that doctor! All the staff were friendly and helpful. My older child already wears glasses and was given a new prescription so we selected a pair of adorable frames from the store selection. The variety they have is great! They had a large variety of brands that I don't feel like you normally see in stores. My child selected a pair of Betsy Johnson frames and they look absolutely perfect! The sales person (Amanda) whole helped me was great! She helped me navigate the rude and difficult insurance representative as we had difficulty validating my frame coverage. After that was resolved, we applied the insurance bringing my total to $9, then Amanda informed me of a special they have going on, when if you use insurance to get a pair of frames, then you can select another pair (of a specific price point) for FREE! And to top all that off... they have same day service! So my daughter's new pair of glasses was completely ready for pick up within 1 hour (and it was actually MUCH faster)!!! I would all around recommend this location for your vision and eye wear needs!!
