If I could give it -5 I would. My Kenmore fridge (purchased in March of 2017) broke beginning of September and I've set up an appointment online. Two weeks later technician came and told me that it's my compressor. Informed me that he doesn't think that my fridge compressor is under a warranty and attempted to charge me full price for parts and service a few dollars short of $1000.00. So I declined, paid $109.00 for them to come out to my house and left it at that. A few days later I decided to order parts on sears.com and schedule another appointment. After a long conversation (I have a record of) over their chat with a parts rep I've purchased a compressor. I've asked the rep multiple times if there's anything else I need to purchase with it in order to install it and they assured that I only need a compressor and in fact I can install it myself. My next appointment came and the same technician came that was here the first time. He said that he cannot install the compressor because I needed to order more parts. He asked me if I had a warranty I said that I didn't know. After further investigation he found out that the compressor is covered under a warranty and ordered the parts for me. I paid $488.00 for labor and he scheduled an appointment for me on 11/1/2021 8 AM - noon. On Sunday 10/31/2021 I got a call confirming my appointment. This morning I took time off working sitting here patiently waiting for my technician to arrive . between 10 and 10.30 AM I got a call that they need to reschedule. Are you serious??????? The most outrageous thing is that the next available appointment they have is 11/16/2021 afternoon. This is unbelievable. I called them and after I've explained what happened she hung up on me. I called again and the guy told me that he'll submit two requests and they call me back. No one called so far. They didn't have issues taking my money promising me service and they can't even make it right. I work in customer care myself and I know if we screwed up or someone in our company called in sick and we have to reschedule an appointment no way in a million years we'd schedule it for over two weeks from the canceled date. I'm beyond disappointed. Poor customer service, total disregard for customers. I'll never ever purchase anything from there or schedule another repair with them. read more

I can't give a lower review or I would. Can't really say if their work is any good as they haven't showed up yet. Been waiting all day. They were supposed to be here by 5 and call when they were on their way. Still not here at almost 6. I did call. What a nightmare that is. They said he was running late and would be here by 5:07. Sears appliance repair under the Sears Home Warranty is a joke. I've never said this in a review, but I will now: if I could give you less than one star, I would. That you get even one star is an affront to the dishonest, criminally inept, one star appliance services out there - they don't deserve to have this service rated equal to them. Up front, the biggest problem: my high end Kenmore Elite series dishwasher died - it was about 10 - 12 years old, so no big deal. Under this plan I'm supposed to have replacement if the appliance can't be repaired. So they want to replace my $800 dishwasher with a GE model that costs $379. I told them that's dumb, they aren't comparable. They claim "comparable" means you only get something with the same features. I respond, it's a dishwasher - they all have the same features. Washing dishes and drying them. Obviously this goes nowhere except I get the knucklehead on the phone to admit is a ridiculous policy. That's literally the only thing I can claim as a victory while using this service. So, if your house is stocked with shitty, low end appliances, maybe this service will work for you, but if you don't have bargain basement items you're going to be disappointed. Keep in mind the repair guy that came out said it could be fixed - it's just cheaper for them to install crappy new ones than to fix a high end model. Anyway, this is literally the tip of the iceberg. What else to say? They don't use Sears repairmen, even for Kenmore items. They sent some guy from an hour away from my house because they can't get any repair services to participate in their criminal scheme so you have to settle for what they give you. Which is not much - I had the same small company come twice for different repairs, and he complained about how far he had to come and he took almost a month to repair my stove, lying and claiming he tried to call me but couldn't get through. Did he assume I didn't want to fix my stove anymore? The price isn't great per month and they just just raised their deductible to the point that I paid almost 25% of the cost of this shitty, shitty dishwasher they are giving me in the deductible. This service is to appliance repair what the Hindenburg was to air travel. If this service were a movie, it would be Waterworld with Kevin Costner. Don't use this service unless you are some kind of deviant that gets his rocks off on long hold times while calling to get them to do *anything* to help you (did I mention I once held for over an hour to talk to a person?). Sears Appliance Repair has convinced me to not only cancel this service, but I'll never shop at a Sears for anything else again. Would give zero stars if I could. I signed up for the Sear Home Warranty about 5 years ago - big mistake. I have a dishwasher that needs repair - I called in December 2021 and was given a service appointment in Jan 2022 - the repairman never came, called me to tell me that he was running late with a prior appointment and there was no way that he could make it to my house before the end of the business day. I was frustrated but understood - rescheduled for February 2022 (the soonest they could get me in) and I never received a confirmation call/text the day before as they told me I should. I called Sears to confirm they had me on their list of appointments for the next day and they assured me that I did. On the day of the appointment, AGAIN, no one showed up to my house. I called Sears and was hung up on when I tried to get info on what happened. Several months later and still a broken dishwasher because whenever I call to schedule service the automated service makes you pay upfront for service before you can even schedule an appointment, which I refuse to do! The gentleman that came to fix my dryer was absolutely amazing, VERY helpful, and he actually gave a crap and didn't act like he was in a rush or anything. Such a great company! This is the 2nd time they had to come cause my belt kept coming off.. Great job!!!! read more

Excellent service from a warm and pleasant service man. Checked three kitchen appliances and even my washer and dryer. Peace of mind!

We purchased a refrig in December, took 3-4wks to receive it, had problem function issues with it immediately, called to return it, they picked it up. Took weeks for a credit, decided to purchase a different model over the phone, second purchase after just a few days we cancelled. Here we are in June and we still aren't credited our refund. Actually they just added the $1500 back on our charge card. If I could give them a zero star rating I would but I wouldn't want you to think I forgot to select a star rating. So disappointed with Sears, we have purchased so many items from them, and they need to fix this! read more

My coworker highly recommended these guys, and we were not disappointed! Our 16 year old Kenmore washing machine broke down, and wasn't spinning, though it was going through the cycles - I called the number listed here on Yelp, gave my phone number, and they pulled up the sales record in seconds (couldn't believe we'd had it for 16 years!) . I was put on hold for a few minutes so the rep could check with the repair technicians regarding schedule. We got an appointment for the next day (today) between 1pm and 5pm. I got a text to confirm the appointment, and was assured that the tech would call to give us a heads up prior to his arrival. I got a call at 11:30 from Cory, saying he was in the area and a couple of hours ahead of schedule and would it be convenient if he came over now? I work close by and was able to do so. Within half an hour he had diagnosed our issue and given us suggestions on how to handle the problem (basically get a new washer, as the shocks on our washer had snapped right off and unfortunately the repair would be a decent chunk of money). Cory talked us through the process of the repair, and whether it would be cost effective to replace versus repair. The diagnosis/appointment cost me $100, which I knew at the outset from the call the night before. So, a little pricey, but Cory was so helpful and honest - gave us some direction as to what to get next, encouraged us to shop around, etc. read more
