They are too busy to send a technician. They said the technician called but he wasn't able to reach my number. However, the manager had no trouble calling me? I was a Director of Operations before I retired. This is what is known as Damage Control! To the Manager: If Josh called me, even at a wrong number, the call would appear in his telephone call log, date and time. If there is no record of the call, he may be a dishonest employee. They didn't even have the professional courtesy to call and let me know they were running late. At 10:45 AM they still hadn't showed up so I called the office. The receptionist offered no apology, just said they were running late. (Duh!!) I replied, so why didn't someone call?? She simply responded, 'I'll get back to you and hung up.' The plumber finally arrived at 11:45 AM with a journeyman, and offered no apology. In fact, he was not a very pleasant or communicative person, although with each thing he looked at, he informed me there was a problem. To make a long story short, what I assumed might be $200, was almost $500. Unfortunately, I was told upfront, their policy was not to give estimates so I took my chances. I had used them in the past, as had neighbors in my condo development and been happy. THIS IS A VERY DIFFERENT COMPANY NOW and not for the better! In hindsight, I believe the 'no estimates' is their sneaky, dishonest way to inflate prices. They seemed to have no problem cashing my check within 24 hours , yet they've refused to respond to phone calls and VM to get back to me with a price breakdown. I told Bill, the office coordinator, that we have three indoor units and one outdoor unit (the condenser). He said that the total would be $385, but since I'm a new customer there would be a $100 discount, making the total $285 - his words. I agreed to these terms. At no time during our conversation was a figure of $485 uttered by him, something I would not have accepted, even with the discount. And yet, the invoice that I received two days after service completion (about 2 hours' work by one technician) asked for $485 minus the $100 discount, plus a fuel surcharge of $7.50. I called to complain that this was not the agreed-upon amount, but Bill simply denied having made that offer. But I know what I heard him clearly say. Lesson learned - never accept an unwritten quote! The work done was underwhelming - acceptable, but more or less perfunctory without much oral communication about the state of the system. I would recommend anyone needing this service to shop around and get everything in writing before agreeing to the terms. I will not be a continuing customer.

Make sure to resolve any questions or concerns BEFORE paying the bill. If your husband calls him to discuss the price afterward, make sure to be on the call to dispell some of the mis-truths. When I attempted to address some questions/concerns, he admitted that he should have talked to me before making the executive decision and presented a possible fix but then didn't call me back as he said he would. I can accept that some of the issues happened because I didn't ask enough questions. He initially agreed that he should have asked first but later went back and wasn't willing to accept his piece when he spoke with my husband. Just not a good experience at all!
