Great organization, $800 worth of work on my gas stove and it still doesn't work. The parts they used to replace older ones don't match the existing parts. Parts I paid for never showed up and when I called to inquire on those parts the response was "Oh yeah, we forgot to bring them. You can stop by and pick them up." Now that's service! I could go on but you get the idea. read more

We bought a used fridge and chest freezer from these guys and were happy with the selection and price. We called a few times in advance to get a sense of the inventory and they were really helpful, measuring and giving information. They returned our calls promptly. The inventory changes regularly and is a bit hit or miss. There were lots of nice fridges when we went, but few working stoves. read more

Just purchased a fridge from these wonderful folks. Tho it did develop an issue over the weekend, they went ABOVE & BEYOND addressing the issue for us yesterday. I bought parts for my washer which was over 30 years old last fall and they were exceptionally kind and accomodating. Today I called and told them the dryer won't start and for the difference of a home visit and repair I purchased a used dryer,large capasity for $40 more. it includes delivery to Windham, set up, haul away. We needed a washer and dryer for our daughters new apartment the set up was a little awkward Angela was awesome she listened to our needs and found us the perfect stackable unit. We would never have been able to afford a new set like this. She kept me informed while We waited to find it and delivery was smooth. We did have a small leak in the washer but when I called they came out the SAME DAY to fix. I would definitely recommend A1 informative knowledgeable professional and friendly people. We purchased a washer and dryer from A1 LA Used Appliances at the home show in Lewiston. We had needed to replace our dryer that broke but were able to get such a good deal that we bought an additional washer and planned to set up a second laundry room and eventually get our old dryer repaired. When they delivered the new units they moved our old dryer upstairs in our future second laundry room for us which was awesome because my husband and I were not looking forward to hauling it up. While they were moving our new dryer a small piece broke off. They were incredibly apologetic and immediately sent out someone to repair the piece. The repair ended up being a little more complicated than anticipated and required an additional part. They gave us a loaner dryer until our new piece came in and offered to also repair our old dryer at the same time. Though not everything went perfectly with the new units but A1 went above and until we had a product that worked to our liking. The staff was incredibly friendly and we were really impressed with the customer service experience. read more

This business is great! We purchased a used refrigerator and it started acting up after about 7 months. They came out to look at it, determined it wasn't a repair they could make and replaced it, no charge. They also fixed our washing machine even though we didn't buy it from them. They are incredibly nice and helpful, and everyone we've dealt with has been great. Highly recommend them. read more

As long as you're buying something, you might go okay. These folks are first and foremost, mean. And secondly, bad at running a business. Do not have them fix anything, not if you need it back. I dropped off a broken dryer to them and didn't hear back for 3 weeks. Five days in a row I called and was told they couldn't find it But that they would get back yo me. They never, not once called me. On the sixth or seventh day after they originally told me they couldn't find it, the owner's daughter, who claimed that she was the point person on this, hung up on me, still without having found my dryer. She, "Either you cooperate and deal with it, or you will have not fixed dryer at all." I finally spoke to someone who found it and then denied that it was ever lost. At this point I told him that I was in a massive time crunch because I was leaving the country and we had gusts who n ended it while we were away. He told me that it would get fixed and it would get fixed. I told him that I would be out of the country and asked them to deliver it. He refused. We ended up scrambling to get a new one for our guests to use while we were away. We never got our old one back. When we dropped it off, they never gave us a time frame for repair. They kept it for three weeks and never called about it. After three weeks they claimed it was lost for a whole week, with me calling every day for an update. They never called me, authorities ugh every day they said they'd call the next. Then when they found it, they claimed it had never been lost and that I would have to wait and cooperate if I even wanted it fixed at all. These are not good people. read more
