I have a plumber that I often use, but they don't offer Hydrojetting - it's basically high pressure washing your drain pipes. Figured I'd need it some day - and sure enough I did - when roots infiltrated a bathroom at one of our rental properties. Had it snaked a few times before - but that doesn't work too great for roots - and had to snake again every 4 months or so. Hydrojetting with a root killer treatment afterward is the way to go. Patrick was great - definitely lived up to all the positive reviews. He was thorough and explained the process in depth. He showed me the problem on camera and gave me a reasonable estimate that in the end was exactly the way he said it would be. Patrick took care to protect the surrounding area and did a fantastic job communicating with my tenants and working to not inconvenience them as little as possible. I couldn't come back to the property to see the results, however Patrick provided me with several detailed pictures of the job in progress and when finished. Want to feel the exhilaration of a high-pressure sales talk during an emergency? Want to be talked down to? Want to feel stupid? Then Patrick is the plumber for you! Having done good work for us in the past, Patrick shocks me by being one of the more impatient, rude, prideful, condescending, unreasonable humans I've encountered in my life. I don't understand how someone can amass such high reviews in a day and age where customer service is so important. We wake up at 5am to a semi-flooded hallway from a thin jet of water shooting out from one of our walls. I know exactly who to call because of his past work. He is the only one awake and kind enough to answer my 630a call and says he can make it by 11 or 12. He gets a flat tire unfortunately, but trusting in him as the man for the job I wait for him despite the many other plumbers I contacted. I commend him for even making it after getting his tire fixed. When he arrives he quickly assesses the situation, peeling away at the soggy drywall and discovering the culprit section of old copper piping that had corroded to the point of springing a leak. This is where things start going downhill. I don't realize how central and vital this section of piping is, which is my fault in that I can't grasp his explanation of why we couldn't just excise and cap the leaky section of pipe. The section needed to be replaced. But despite me being polite, at least 3 times during his explanation he says "Jed you're not understanding" or "Jed you're not listening." But I hold my tongue and stay polite. He also repeatedly emphasizes the need to replace the whole house's piping with pex or else these leaks will just keep happening elsewhere. He says this will cost $6000 not including drywall repair (another $1200) vs. the temporary solution of just replacing the section of pipe for $275. Of course I opt for the latter. He removes the section of pipe and bridges it with a long section of pex that he's able to mostly stuff into the wall, but it still partially protrudes out (see photo). Nevertheless, I am appreciative because it's still a better than expected result, and I'm willing to pay the $275. But the next day I'm scratching my head as to how we're gonna repair the drywall when the pipe is protruding out of the wall. I text him asking him how much more it would cost to fix that. He then calls me and I put him on speaker phone so my wife can listen. She attests that despite me being polite, he comes out with guns blazing calling me a "whiner" and repeating "I'll never make you happy." Here I am just wondering how we can make the situation better, and he'd rather insult me than reason with me. I would've been willing for him to finish the job even at additional cost, but now, never again. He showed so much pride and disrespect to me in front of my family, TWICE, that I truly hope he was just having a bad day and that this is not his baseline. He cites the time he didn't charge us much in the past, and now I'm wondering if that was his defense for charging us more this time, but for just a "temporary" solution? It's not even the price that bothers so me so much as how I feel he left me hanging to figure out the permanent solution on my own. Oh and when I finally confront him about how he talked down to me impatiently the day before, his defense is "Well you kept asking the same question over." When I said "I'm not a plumber," he replies "I'm not perfect." How bout I'm sorry? I gave him a 5 stars in December when I thought we had found out go-to plumber. Patrick and his team have helped me on a number of occasions. They cleared tree roots from my sewer main and lined the pipe for a much better price than any of the other half dozen quotes I got. They left my yard in great shape when they were done. I had another plumber that I was very happy with, but after snaking the line to my kitchen sink twice, he told me it was time to move on to Hydro Jetting the line, which he couldn't do. Not all plumbers have hydro jet available to them, so I had to call around. Yelp reviews for Seale Plumbing were very positive and I'm happy to add to them. Patrick at Seale Plumbing quoted me a price over the phone for hydro jetting the line that was very fair and much better than 2 other plumbers that I called. They showed up on time the next morning, got right to it and was done in minutes. Didn't try to upsell me on anything. Showed me some of the grease that was clogging the line and gave me some advice on how to avoid such a build up in the future. Apparently you can't pour 10 hours worth of roast pork drippings down the drain, who knew? Now If they only offered hydro jetting of my arteries, I would just use all the pork drippings as gravy and we wouldn't have any leftovers to cause such problems. Came home from work one afternoon only to find my kitchen clogged. Tried the DIY step by step. first was drano. Then one plunger, two plunger, and finally tried my 5 foot snake line. Nothing that I do can clear the water in the kitchen in sink. When I can't figure out what to do, Yelp to the rescue. Called Patrick Seale and he picked up right away. Thank God, we've found an honest and intelligent plumber!!! We'd gone through about 4 plumbers before we found Patrick, and I'm so happy to say our search is over. A few weeks ago, we had some crappy plumbing problems - so we had to call on Patrick about 3 times in the space of 2 weeks. Each time was for a totally separate issue, and in every instance he was punctual, highly effective, and very reasonably priced. One of the times he was here, he spent nearly 2 hours on a repair that he ended up doing free of charge. Another time, he sent his guys out right away (within the hour I called) to take care of our problem asap as it was urgent - when I asked about how to pay them because I had to leave the house before they were done, they said not to worry because Patrick would just call me about that later. I really appreciated that... I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure most plumbers wouldn't just fix your problem on the "honor system." It is rare to get customer service like Patrick's these days. Once again, Patrick Seale comes through with high remarks from our end. For some reason, the people who owned our house before placed PVC piping for our gasline into the house!!!! Pure stupidity right? and it was only 10in below the dirt. Anyways, during sprinkler installation, the pipe was mistaken for a sprinkler pipe and started to leak after cutting into it. Bad move. Patrick and his crew came out and installed high-grade piping 22in underground and it was all done in a matter of hours. We've used Pat's services a few times before over the years and were very happy...until last week. Our toilet had a broken flange. We called Pat and he came out and looked at it, told us what would need to be done to fix it, and gave us an estimate. Before he left he said he might be able to come the next day (Thursday) to do the job, but that he was in the middle of another job, so couldn't guarantee that. We said that was fine with us. He called Thursday afternoon to tell us he wouldn't be able to make it that day and that he would try to come Friday. We told him that was still workable for us. Then he called us on Friday and told us he couldn't make it until Monday. A bit inconvenient to be 5 days without that toilet instead of the original 1 or 2 days we were originally expecting based on his schedule, but we could still live with it. Well, Monday came and went without a word from Pat. We still haven't heard from him. So we've moved on and have another plumber fixing the flange. It was disappointing to have a service provider we liked and trusted blow us off. At the very least we would have appreciated a call saying that he underestimated his schedule and that he couldn't help us after all, or that he realized the job we needed was bigger than he could manage, etc., whatever the reason was. But we didn't even get that. Instead we got 7 days with a broken toilet, no more communication, and a ruined impression of the level of service Pat provides. I've used Seale plumbing for my past two issues, and I am very impressed with the quality of service that Patrick delivers. The first service call was for the removal of a toilet paper roll dispenser that SOMEONE in my house- [cough] my wife [cough]- accidentally dropped into a flushing toilet. Patrick was at our house within a half hour, and was very professional, and didn't make fun of us for what happened! He removed the toilet, borrowed a wire coat hanger, and managed to get the spring-loaded tube dislodged from underneath. He also replaced the toilet gasket, and cleaned the work area when finished. The other service call was for a clogged bathroom sink. He used a "snake" to clear out the delicious black sludge from the drain pipe, and even gave me some DIY advice on things I can do to improve the quality of my drains and on things that I can replace down the road if I wanted to. The drain pipe he cleaned out is old and rust is winning the corrosion battle, so I asked what he thought about replacing the pipes beneath our house. Where most others would, at this point, try to up-sell me on potentially unnecessary procedures, Patrick gave me more DIY advice on the tools I would need and things I would have to do if I ever wanted to do it. Overall, Patrick is a genuine and honest guy who truly cares about the quality of work that he's asked to do. He may not be the cheapest solution to a given problem, but you're paying for his knowledgeable expertise and top-notch service. I will use him for any and all future plumbing situations. Patrick is a life saver! Whenever I call him, he always comes on time or even earlier, takes off his shoes and provides me with many options. From finding and fixing a leak under my sink to general questions about plumbing he has answers for it all. Most of all, he doesn't try to nickel and dime you. He told me that he can replace my shower faucet to fix the temperature for me for $350 but it's probably going to happen again in three years so it's not worth fixing it. Was having issues with my water heater leaking. Patrick had a long day at another site but managed to come out to my house well beyond the normal working hours of most plumbers. He diagnosed the issue quickly as a leaking inner tank and mentioned that if it were still under warranty I should be able to get the heater for free. Very pleased with the service. I started to have a back flow issue and called the guys who advertise on the radio. They tried to snake the line but found nothing but then offered to hydrojet the line for $1500. I decided to call around and Patrick offered the same service for a fraction of the price. Since it wasn't an emergency we scheduled for a Monday appointment. Juan came out, ran the camera and realized the way my plumbing was set up the hydrojet service was not going to work. Understanding the overall issue I had them come out the next day and do some extensive work to re-route the line from the master bath to the main, taking a smarter route than what was previously installed (the previous home owner did this himself). I thought I had reviewed Seale before but I guess I haven't. He is now my go-to plumber, and with my house that means I get to see him at least twice a year. Always been very courteous, shows up on time, and gets the job done. I see a sprinkling of 1 star reviews now, and when reading through them I don't really think its fair. Yes, there are going to be times when you call a plumber and you don't like the outcome. Is that his fault? Not often. You have the problem- he is just trying to fix it. Bottom line is: I've had him out three times now- one emergency on a Sunday and the rest during the week. All times he has been here same day or next day at the latest. The emergency was the only call which was higher than the basic 125 for hand snake or a little bit more if he has to use a clean-out. I would recommend him to any friends that need a plumber. read more

I had a major gas leak where the pressure meter was dropping very fast. Patrick pointed to a very small leak at one of the joint and said that cost of fix will be $600+ on top of $275 assessment cost without any guarantee. I did not give him the job since the leak he pointed to me was nothing close to the amount of the leak indicated by the meter. Basically, I did not have confidence in him. Later, I had another handy man look at the issue and he found out that Patrick got the direction of the gas flow wrong hence did not investigate where he really should have. Handy man fixed the issue for $150 including inspection, parts, and labor. Gas company came out confirmed that the leak was fixed and turned on the service. Wasted $275 on Patric! read more
