I never received a package that said it was delivered on Wednesday. The 800 number listed for the post office told me to go to my local post office to track it down if I didn't get it by the end of the day today (Friday). I went to the post office in the middle of the day and spoke to Rob, who said to call him directly if I didn't receive the package. At 4:55 a car pulled into my driveway. Never had a problem and always prompt and courteous service. Packaging is secured, always advised of the best choices of mail.

I could never seem to have an enjoyable experience here. Theres always a very long line and only one or two employees working at a time. They do not seem to enjoy what they do which affects my mood when I am in there. I understand most post office experience are mediocre at best but why is this location so bad? Today is Wednesday, January 10, 2018. I have had mail delivery only one day ( Monday, January 8th) since the snow storm of Thursday, January 4th. When I called the station on Saturday morning January 6th to inquire a female employee ( unidentified) said they were understaffed do to many employees out sick. It's a pretty small post office. The parking lot can be a real pain in the you know what since it's located on such a busy road (Merrick Rd). Beware of heavy/fast traffic when coming out of the lot. Otherwise this location is good. Not too long lines and quick service. read more

Biggest losers ever ! Sent something overnight and it gets there a day later ! They had 1 job and couldn't deliver, literally! The post office is one of the most dysfunctional institutions I have ever seen in my 57 years.. Go to UPS.. if you want punctuality & a guaranteed delivery. read more

my delivery lady has no back up. when she is out, we get our mail at 7:30pm. in my job, back up is a necessity and managers get fired if they don't make sure service is maintained. Guess the government could care less..... they didn't deliver on the day on the snow storm - i understood that. HOWEVER, today is Saturday and i have not received mail since Wednesday. Nor has anyone else on my block. snow storm was Thursday. since my normal lady is out no one is delivering out mail. this is Long Island , not a third world country. read more

A 0 rating from me! I've lived in Seaford for 11 years and the post office has become less reliable. As the previous review from Autumn D. Stated, they mark packages as delivered but they can be delivered to anyone! A complete free for all. I've complained about this ongoing problem to deaf ears at the post office. I have no confidence in their mail carriers whom can deliver as early as 11:00am or as late as 6:00pm when it's dark and mistakes can be made. Also, don't understand as to why they have mail carriers delivering in their personal vehicles and not in uniform! Completely despicable!! I've never had this level of mistakes occur when I lived elsewhere. read more

While the office has had some fine employees over the years , for some time it has been incompetence personified . I had a really fine mail carrier last spring and summer (2017) , but he moved up , and we are stuck with...... An ongoing problem is the office's total inability to use maps and differentiate mail going to different school or library districts , as well as townships ( too much work , I suppose ) . Living at the north end of Seaford , my school and library districts are both 26 , Island Trees . No one north of Jerusalem Avenue , let alone Southern State Parkway , belongs to the Seaford School District , but their mail is dumped on us anyway . The boundary of Levittown School and Library Districts crosses my development ( between 107 and Seaman Neck Road ) , so discussing this is hopeless with the geniuses at Seaford Post Office . Perhaps 5% of the household in my development are in the Town of Oyster Bay ( the line crosses 107 near the junction of 135 ) , and again , discussing the matter with this post office is HOPELESS . One would think that limiting the amount of mail carried would make life easier for carriers , but apparently the mental effort it takes to differentiate school and library districts is more that the employees here can handle . Of course , Island Trees taxpayers do not vote in Seaford or Levittown school board , library board and connected budget ballots , but this is no concern of the Seaford Post Office . read more

If I could give this service 0 stars I would. I had a small package in a padded envelop mailed to me with a tracking number. Feb 6th, the item was marked delivered, however I never received it. I looked all around my mailbox, house, and I knocked on all my neighbors doors to see if they had been in receipt of it. None of the neighbors had received my package and every one of them was filled with complaints about the mail service. I contacted the post office every day, but they couldn't find my package and they said there was nothing they could do. So, the seller was kind enough to mail me a reshipment of the same item at no cost since I contacted them about not having received the item. He shipped it the same way- in a small padded envelop with a tracking number. On Feb. 13th at 8:43 AM, the item was tracked as Out For Delivery. I contacted the Post Office that morning, asking if they could hold the package for me at the Post Office because I was concerned it might become lost in delivery again. They told me this was not an option. They wouldn't allow me to pick up the mail item at the Post Office. Well, it never arrived. I called the post office, they said that on their end they have the item marked as Delivered at 5:15PM last night. The tracking on my end indicates it is still Out For Delivery. TL; DR: Twice they lost the same package. And there is absolutely zero accountability on their end. read more
