I receive my mail randomly. I lived in Muttontown for 25 years and the Glen head post office never missed a day or an article of mail or package.

I would advise NOT going there if you get her and if you're Chinese. I had appt for my passport from 2-2:45pm. I arrived at 2:20 and the passport lady Andrea said right away I was late. Btw, that's how she greeted me. I said I'm sorry but my paperwork says it's from 2-2:45pm. Then she said I had to be there at 2:15pm the latest. But no where in the paperwork or on her paperwork says that. So I asked if I needed to reschedule. She handed me the form and told me to fill out. I asked if I need to reschedule. (Reason why I asked her because she looked so annoyed that I was there and she really didn't want to do it.) I gave her the opportunity to tell me to reschedule but she didn't. Before walking away, she slam the window closed. Again, rude but whatever. I dealt with it. Then I walked to fill out. 5mins later I was done and I rang the bell. No one answered. But I waited. And waited and waited. I rang the bell again. No one came. I even heard the bell throughout the postal office. But still no one came. Finally my husband went to the front to ask if there's going to be anyone doing passports. Finally another lady came to open the window and said we were late. I was annoyed at this point because we waited this whole time and no one came. I told her I rang the bell. She said no one heard it. Then finally Andrea appears at 2:45pm (with her pocketbook ready to leave work) and said "well you were late". I said to her that I asked if I needed to reschedule and you didn't say anything except for me to fill out forms. Then she said well I was late and she couldn't do my paperwork. I knew from the beginning she didn't want to do my paperwork. She wanted to leave at 2:45 which she was about to walk out. I also felt she saw that I'm a Chinese girl and felt the rush of a power play with me. Andrea was nasty, and rude. She couldn't wait to push me around to get her rush of joy. She needed to have that power trip to make her feel better about herself. I was livid at this point. Enough was enough. I called her out say she was rude and nasty from the beginning. I said you even shut the window in front of my face. What more did you need to feel superior??? Andrea greeted me by saying I was late, (which i wasn't). Then she slams the window shut in front of my face. Then she proceeds to make me wait at the window even after ringing the bell 2x. Then says she didn't hear the bell. At point point of arguing g she said I was suppose to confront her about the shutting the windows in front of my face if I felt insulted. ??? She's a piece of work. How can anyone NOT be insulted??? She very racist. She saw a Chinese girl coming up to the window for passports and she didn't want to do mine. She used all kinda of excuses not to do my passport. But then she took to next level but shutting the window, then pointing fingers in my face and making me wait... knowing she wasn't doing my passport. I never been so appalled in my life. I felt the hate she has when she saw me walked up to the window. She never wanted to do it.... Which I think partially because I was Chinese. But I bet if I was an anyone else BUT a Chinese lady, her attitude would have been different.

We had to either bring in our own tape that we got from the dollar store or Staples; or purchase the three or four dollar tape from here. This was once a free benefit but not for the last 5 years. You want rude and indifferent postal employees - please drive 7 miles south to the Post Office on W John St in Hicksville, wait 12-15 minutes in line and then deal with someone who just hates everything. Seriously! What she missed out on: 1) A great location with dozens of parking spots( rare on Long Island - just try parking at the New Hyde Park, Hicksville, Levittown or Syosset Post offices). 2) Amazing staff that bend over backwards, know your name, work with you when you travel regarding holding mail and get through that line in less than a minute. Huge props and kudos to Raj who is a gem- solid, professional, polite, calm( I have seen a crazy Old Brookville entitled resident ream him out for taking too long with an elderly gentleman who was having a hard time counting his money & coins and was moving slowly) . Raj just smiled and continued. Humanity, Love and Care are very much alive and here to stay in the Glen Head Post Office. Freddy (photo from March 2025)is also just a wonderful person who is a worker. 3) This location is always well stocked with all the necessary postal forms. They have cute greeting cards. They always have PENS at the end of those strings on each table. There is enough room to stand, spread your stuff and write. 4) I have seen how efficient they are with the Passport appointment and explaining everything. 5) The USPS rates and fees are standard and the same everywhere. I do appreciate the fact that they have the flat rate boxes in different sizes - I have sent many care packages and shirts n souvenirs to my grandkids and family in California for 25 years. Thank you for that and the $100 insurance included at no extra charge. Thank you Glen Head PO for also being open on Saturdays.

I had noticed the line and was trying to fix it as quickly as possible. As I left, he clearly was annoyed and explained to the customers behind me that I was the reason for the wait.

I went in and asked them if they had a hand truck I could borrow? The answer was no. I asked if anyone could help me get it out of my car? The answer was no. Unfriendly man said I could park on the side of the building (compromise!) and bring it in that way. I thanked him profusely and while I was leaving he shouted at me, "BUT JUST THIS ONCE! ONLY THIS ONE TIME!" Ohmygosh, thanks for that amazing customer service. Don't worry I won't come back with anything heavy! I should have just went to a freestanding Fed Ex, they are so much more helpful.

The service was efficient and friendly, and there is convenient parking right in front of the store.
