Surprisingly, ok burger if you're in the area.
I'd heard about this place as having a really good burger, but was obviously a bit suspicious since A) it's called SEAFOOD Stand, and B) you can tell it's a local take on Western food. But the recommendation came from a visiting coworker from New Yorker, so there seemed to be some sort of credibility. I felt inclined to test it myself.
I had to try the simple cheeseburger ("King of Devil's Beef" as they have called it for $56). The others were all a bit more creative non-beef options (fried cod, BBQ chicken, spiced lamb, crab & shrimp, etc).
The patty was simply seasoned, cooked medium, and had juices come spilling out even when picking it up. The American cheese was properly melted. There was a honey-mustard type of sauce that was tasty, but would have preferred just ketchup to get a better uninfluenced taste of the burger. Ordered with the "Cottage fries" (wedges) which were standard.
It's not the easiest place to find since the building is set off Mody Road, behind Mody Square, and Google maps didn't have an exact location. When you get to the big open plaza after 63 Mody, go to the back left corner and turn left - you should be facing Auto Plaza (appropriately named bc it's a car park). Just a few stools inside and a few more along the outside wall.
While there are better burgers in HK, for $56 (just the burger) I'll round up to 4-stars. read more
