This is hands-down one of my absolute favorite Filipino grocery stores! I always find exactly what I need, along with a few extra treats I didn't realize I needed until I saw them. Haha not to mention there's a Mami king beside and always end up getting Filipino soup and siopao. The store is consistently clean and well-organized, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. On top of grocery shopping, this is my go-to spot for sending money to my sisters in the Philippines. They make the remittance process completely hassle-free. I ordered 3 tilapia fish and some baby octopus from here. They offer to cook your food so you don't have to worry about that at home. When I was told about this place I was told to make the order via phone and schedule a pick up cause the lines are long and it can take up to an hour. There was definitely a lot of people there, but if you order through the phone it can be as quick as just picking up and paying at the front. The fish and octopus were great, I don't have any issues. The guys in the back definitely know how to wash, clean and fry the fish! read more

Located in the heart of Carson, whose population is over 20% Filipino, Seafood Ranch Market (not associated with either Seafood City or 99 Ranch) has a really good selection of Filipino brand food, along with fresh Asian vegetables (including Filipino long string beans). Found the largest selection of ube jam brands I've seen, along with frozen bangus (marinated, non-marinated, baby, boneless...they have it all). My biggest gripe is that products are not marked with price, so you have to look for signs. And in MANY cases, there were no visible signs so had to ask the cashier. And like other Asian markets...if the smell of seafood gets to you, this is not the place to be. read more

Not as huge or popular as its more known counterpart (Seafood City) but the selections are just as good. Fresh produce, fresh seafood, fresh meat. A great variety of junk food as well as canned goodies from the homeland. I even discovered a few items I never thought would make it to these United States. They also keep up with cleanliness. Not one thing wasn't where it's supposed to be. I wonder if they have someone going around just to make sure of that! It's a good alternative if you can't find what you're looking for at the bigger store. Definitely returning! read more

A few weeks ago, I read an article in the Los Angeles Times about seasonal herbs, spurred by the Vietnamese who clamored for tastes of home. I remembered my days growing up in Vietnam, the fresh herbs that were added to every meal made each meal sing in harmony. Well, maybe that was just a dream, because I was born in the Imperial Valley. The freshest herbs we had was the cilantro that sprouted up next to the mulberry tree. However, I began a hunt for these fresh herbs. I found them at Seafood Ranch Market. This small grocery store definitely caters to Asian tastes. I love taking my time to explore these kinds of markets, but because I was on my way to my diabetes education class, I couldn't really spend too much time looking around. In the produce section, they had the things that I typically expect a grocer to have: tomatoes, onions, avocados, carrots, etc. However, I was blown away by the amount and variety of fresh herbs that were being sold. I picked up a few bags and decided to take a chance on them. They were from plants I had never even heard of. (I took them home, washed them and tried a few leaves. Bitter and spicy. I love them! I am trying to figure out how to best highlight that sensation.) Most of the herbs were already packaged in plastic bags with a barcode sticker on them. No weighing at check out! ( I appreciated that.) I also got a bag of green beans. They were the absolutely freshest and tasty ones I have ever eaten. (Well, when I have picked fresh beans, those were better, but these were right up there.) The meat and fish counters had very fresh looking food. There was NO seafood smell, a sign of freshness. The butchers and fishmongers were eager to help customers. I saw one of them scaling and fileting a fish. It saves on mess at home! If I weren't on my way to a class, I would have picked up some fish and meat. There are all manner of noodles, sauces, oils and candies. There were frozen foods and other aisles that I didn't venture down. This place isn't close to where I live, but I know that I will be able to find the herbs there, when in season. I will be back. It is right across the street from Carson High School, but don't let that scare you. There were no teenagers in there and they had just gotten out of summer school. read more

First of all I'm Filipino and will understand how lots of the Filipino community are. We are, what seems like, a bit nosy at times and we love to gossip.. One of the cashiers here, who has been working here for a very long time, knows me and my parents. One day out loud, she asked my mom "ymYour daughter is on dialysis, Huh?" During this time, I had been quiet about my health and didn't really want many people to know. I thought this cashier was very rude to abruptly ask this question and to say it out loud, during their busy time. Then why do I come back? I have to admit that I keep coming back because this market has been renovated and carries a huge variety of imported goods as well as fresh meats and vegetables. Because the market really isn't too large, it's much easier to get around. It may not look like much, because of its size, but trust me they carry plenty. After school hours are the worst here. Because the market is across the street from Carson high school, the parents park here while they're waiting for the kids to get out. Weekends usually aren't too bad. Beyond the supermarket itself, it's excellent. Because of that cashier, and some of the rude staff behind the meat department, I had to give this 3 stars. read more

Rude, unprofessional employees especially those people in fish area. Never on this market. I just rather go to Uni-mart, Seafood City or Tambuli. Advise to the owner, get them train again your employees if you want more customers. Or move your business to China. read more

Service- is fast wish it would be friendly but they never make conversations, your their and just their for what you need. Parking- parking is probably the worst after hours, jut because theirs a school right across the street and parents take over parking. So parking is hard to get long waiting on Friday's for sure. Market- Tilapias on Friday's are the business especially when they clean them and are fried. The only reason why I go to that store. read more

This is the worst filipino grocery store I've ever been to! Most of the produce here appear to be rotten and bruised. Other products look questionable. Like how long has this been sitting here?! But the main reason why I'm giving this place one star is because of the smell!! I came here in the morning around the time they open. At first, the stench was bearable. It reminded me of the open meat markets in the Philippines. I grew up in the Philippines and have been to open meat markets many times so I was whatever about it. About 15 minutes later we decided to go back to the produce/meat area because we forgot something. This is the same area where we first encountered that awful stench. Right when my mom and I started to walk towards this area, a deadly horrible smell filled the airways of my nasal canal! What the hell did they just unleash back there?! It was the combination of sewage, dead animals, dead bodies, and anything rotten. It was officially the worst thing I've ever smelled in my entire life! JESUS, JUST TAKE ME NOW cuz I can't handle this smell anymore. So we went to the other side of the store to avoid it. But that shitty smell followed us everywhere! This place is unsanitary, unclean, and smells like shit. I don't care if they are the only supermarket selling my favorite filipino goodies. A smelly store/place is something I can not tolerate. A market on the corner of 223rd and Main. I like their pork tocino sold by the pound. I get my car freshener here too... apple scent is my fav! Some asian snacks that I get here are adobo cracker nuts, shrimp chips, brioche ( french but I'm guessing filipino version), garlic corn nuts and canned lychee. You can also find asian sauces and marinade. Jufran, filipino sweet ketchup. Mang Tomas dipping sauce for some roasted pork. Roasted chicken and bbq pork charsu powder are some of my secret ingredients. Shhhh. read more

alright....this will be my first review on a filipino supermarket. My mom loves to send me on errands for her when it comes to getting ready for some home cooked Filipino food. I've been here numerous times and its straight up easier to find stuff and get parking compared to the other guys down the street in the heart of little manila (from what my cop friends say). As much as I feel sooo unfilipino because I don't speak tagalog, when walking in here. Its a quick in and out at this establishment, ummmmmmm yea. Definitely Not satisfied with this stores customer service! fist of all there's people washing their hands on top of the fish and crabs etc! they see customers doing this and do not say a word! My boyfriend had to step up once he seen some guy (customer) wash his hands on fish to not do do that because that wasn't a sink to wash their hands at! the guys got mad said he didn't care and socked my boyfriend! I then went to the store manager to complain and he did not do nothing about it or tell the other person a thing. the manager then said sorry turned around and left. one of the workers there told us to call the police ourselves! but why should we if they had to do that? This grocery store definitely caters to the Filipino citizens of the city. And I'm not complaining because I'm one of them :) I come here to get fresh meats or fish and vegetables (such as sitaw, gabi, bananas to make turon) that I can't find in other grocery stores. The butchers are more than happy to help you. If it's busy, you have to take a number and wait for your number to be called. This definitely helps in an extremely chaotic day like Sunday. They also sell frozen foods and canned goods and anything else to cater your cooking needs. This place is surrounded by other businesses like Jack in the Box, Mami King, Laundromat, donut shop, and a pizza place. It's right across Carson High, so I'm sure there's plenty of high school students every morning and after school buying their hot cheetos (haha). I'd steer clear of this place around that time. One thing to note, they do accept credit/debit cards, but I believe you have to spend either a minimum of $5 or $10. If you don't the minimum, then you're forced to pay either by check or cash. read more

This place is getting better everyday. They have hired new and friendlier cashiers who actually smile and say Hello to you now. They have a huge variety of Filipino snacks such as chips and sweets. I love their seafood like the mussels and shrimps because they are always fresh. Their meat is very excellent quality as well. I love their Sweet Longanisa here, it's 99% taba (tagalog for fat) free!! The vegetables and produce look fresher now too. The remodeling was nicely done. I love how this market has a good variety cute toiletries from the Philippines. I like to buy Johnson and Johnson baby cologne and powder here. I also love their isle devoted to palayoks, utensils, and basins for the home and kitchen. This is one of the best Filipino markets in Carson. read more

I enjoy coming to this store for asian, mostly filipino ingredients. The staff are friendly and they fry fish for free! I find it very convenient to call in my order for fried fish and I when I go there, it's ready! I make I call to Jerry and let him know time I'll pick up and when I arrive my order is still hot and steamy. The place has been recently upgraded and aisles are roomier. I find it easier to shop here compared to the bigger filipino supermarket located a few blocks from this place where there it takes me hours to locate the stuff I need. Over here...the place is smaller so there's less aisles to traverse and I find the same ingredients but faster! I tried also shopping in other smaller sized filipino supermarkets in the Carson area but their aisles are so cramped and it's hard when you're using a shopping cart. So I have to carry around a basket which sucks! This is my go to asian supermarket!! read more
