Can always find what I want and need love oysters. Love supporting my local small businesses in my community. I recommend to my friends and family, great customer service ....

Building facade. Looks like they kept the murals and windows boarded up after the 3/31/2020 riots.

It's been a very long while since I've been to Rainbow Seafood Market. Really--last time was when they were located on Long Beach Boulevard, which was over 4 years ago. What brought me here today was two different seafood markets were out of oysters. I also just happened to call ahead and confirm they had a case available. Lucky me, I claimed their last box. I like this Pine Ave location better than their Long Beach Boulevard store. There's a lot less clutter and miscellaneous merchandise. Beware this place is also very small and tight inside. Markers are on the floor to enforce social distancing and masks are required to enter. One wall is a complete array of sauces and spices. Produce availability is limited to your basic cilantro, tomatoes, lime, onions, etc.. I came specifically for the oysters, and they had it. Quality was fresh. Not a single bad one in the bunch. A case is 60 count for $60.

We have been a long time customer of the seafood market, prior to them changing ownerships. We had purchased small bag of oysters and we notice half of the oysters was bad after we cooked it on the grill. We had contacted the market and they demand that we bring the bad oysters back to them same day. We explained to them that we had made the purchase and was not able to bring back the oysters due to the event we were attending. They said they were not able to do anything since we did not bring it small day. We wanted to let them know that the batch they had received was bad. They were unprofessional on how to deal with the situation. They should know that bad seafood cause a bad reaction to our health.

Everyone was super nice. One of the employee employees from the back explained why they didn't have Dungeness crab and he was super sweet about it. And then the cashier in the front was very helpful with the recommendations. Instead, I got 2 pounds of crawfish in one of their sauces. Dude, they're crawfish are so fresh and fat. I appreciated that I was able to pick my own. Everything turned out amazing. I will definitely be back.

There's limited parking in the back of the building and only big enough for smaller compact cars. They have several buckets of fish sitting on ice chips, lining the middle of the store. A couple live tanks against the wall. Decent variety. When I was choosing my fish from their ice buckets, I thought they looked a little extra slimy but against my better judgment just gave it a shot anyway. Took my catfish to the kitchen to request it be fried. Within a couple hours of eating, I got the worst food poisoning I've had in a very long time. This was such a disappointing experience and now I'm sick as a dog. If I could leave 0 stars, I would.

Also the Mahi Mahi and grilled shrimp plate with rice. Absolutely delicious. And the dungeness crab. Yum! Also if you want a hammer for the crab, it's a $2 deposit. They refund you after you return it. Obviously had to get the clam chowder in a bread bowl. Absolutely worth it. All of this cost $130. Mostly cuz of the crab at 29.99/lb. My favorite items are their BIBINGKA and TAHO. Bibingka is a thick coconut rice cake with a cream cheese center. Their bibingka is baked and flavored to perfection! It has the right amount of sweetness and texture when you bite into it! So delicious! I typically eat it warm and pair it with my morning coffee. Taho is a sweet dessert made from soft tofu, brown sugar, and sago (tapioca pearls). You can have it warm or cold. Very simple and tasty. The bakery also has other options for desserts and serve fresh pandesal (sweet bread) daily. If you have a craving for Filipino dessert I highly recommend San Honoré Panderia!

We bought fried fish from this place and this is what they thought was acceptable to give to a customer. Trigger warning it's disgusting. Not our first time buying fried whole fish but this place didn't even gut the fish. THEY LEFT THE INSIDES INSIDE OF THE FISH. Raw insides. I ate some of the cooked outside flesh of the fish until I opened the inside of the fish to take the meat out and literally fish guts leaked all over the plate. All of the rest of the fish in the box were leaking fish fluids in the box they gave us to take them in. I'm fn traumatized this is NOT okay. Y'all need to do something about this.
