The fish with cornmeal falling all off of it!!!

I ordered fish from here for the first time and must say I was VERY DISAPPOINTED the fish had cornmeal fail off the fish the jumbo shrimp had the cornmeal on just half of the shrimp the fries were fried in the same grease as the fish and you could taste it. The visual was so bad I had to throw it away smdh a waste of $40. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I need a REFUND!!!!

You can see it here -- one shrimp way smaller. Kinda disappointing for the price.

I've been coming here for years, so this one really surprised me. I ordered 6 pieces of catfish and 15 jumbo shrimp, and honestly, I was not impressed with my order tonight. One of the "jumbo" shrimp was tiny, and the fish is not the same size as before. I spent $44.23 on this meal, and for that price I expected the same quality and size they've always had. I will say the food seemed less oily than before, but something about the taste and flavor feels different now maybe a new recipe or a different cook, I'm not sure. Either way, it just didn't hit like it used to. I'm kind of disappointed to say I don't think I'll be coming.

I've been a loyal customer of Family Fish Market for over 10 years+. For most of that time, this was my go-to spot, and I would visit at least once a month. However, last year's visit left me disappointed, and today confirmed that I will never return. I ordered the 20-piece shrimp and tilapia combo with coleslaw, red snapper (fried hard), and macaroni salad, as well as a side of fillet. Unfortunately, the quality has completely gone downhill. The shrimp and tilapia were salty, soggy, and overly greasy. The fries, which I specifically asked to be crispy, arrived limp and soggy. The macaroni salad tasted sour, and the fillet was both fishy and salty. While the flavor was there, the overall execution and quality were severely lacking. It's heartbreaking to write this because I absolutely loved this place and used to rave about it. But after today's experience, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. Family Fish Market has lost its touch and a loyal customer. We ended up tossing our food Waste of $55 hurts my soul! I absolutely don't like wasting food

Menu with their latest prices. They should invest in a digital menu board or reflect the latest prices online.

Wanted to do an online order, but the online menu prices were not updated so I drove to the location and order. No seating available while they cook the food. I had to wait in the car. Food was good and service was ok, but keep in mind...first impressions are lasting impressions.

They still have amazing , consistent service and food here. Best to call before you order, or else you will be waiting around for awhile. A #1 Combo will now run you about 20 bucks

Still the best fish market around. Folks travel from near and far to get fish from Family Fish Market. You can get catfish steaks, filet sole, and individual sweet potato pies. All orders come with a good amount of hot sauce, tarter say, pickles and peppers. Fish is fresh, not smelly, and seasoned mildly.

Seafood City Market…read more This is a review for my experience shopping at Seafood City Market in Carson, CA. WORDS TO DESCRIBE: Seafood City Homey, bustling, lively, community driven, diverse, colorful, full in flavor -It is a market specializing in Filipino/Asian products. It carries fresh produce, meat/seafood, and your favorite ingredients needed to create your Filipino family dishes. There is a Grill City restaurant in the store, where you can select your meats and sides, as well as tables and chairs to dine in there. PRODUCTS; They have all of your Filipino family fiesta needs in the store. We often go there to get fish-tilapia and have it fried. It does take awhile, but it's worth it. My favorite items to purchase are their vegetables, as well as my favorite snacks. My go to snacks: SkyFlakes: buttery, simple crackers...it's basically the Filipino version of a Ritz Cracker Mang Tomas Sauce: Our all purpose sauce for meats Banana Ketchup Shrimp Chips Kopiko coffee candy BEER: Filipino beer: San Miguel or Red Horse All in all I enjoy going to Seafood City! I come here for all my grocery needs! I also love that there is a Jollibee and Filipino bakeries adjacent to the store! Go shopping and enjoy the taste of the Philippines at Seafood City! Mabuhay!

I had plenty of questions. I knew I wanted oysters. I got the oyster combo. Combo comes with two sides and bread/dinner roll. I opted for double hush puppies as my two sides. I also wanted fish, but didn't want to buy a whole dinner. The cashier told me I could get a single piece of fish. I believe it was $2.50 per piece. I love filet sole. It's thin and I like it crispy! The oysters were not big, but came with a lot of smaller pieces. I like the bigger oysters so I could taste more oyster than breading, but this did the trick as well! Smaller pieces, but more pieces! I love hush puppies! These were more crispy on the outside! When my order was ready, I asked for extra tartar and hot sauce. She gave me one and one little cup each. When I opened the bag, to my surprise there was a set of sauces in the dinner and for my single piece of fish! I'm so happy that I got so much tartar and hot sauce! I'm a dunker! The tartar sauce was more herby, like a ranch and not creamy like mayo. But still delicious! Especially when you mix it with hot sauce! This place is a small fish market, no tables. Just a few seats to wait for your food.

Everyone was super nice. One of the employee employees from the back explained why they didn't have Dungeness crab and he was super sweet about it. And then the cashier in the front was very helpful with the recommendations. Instead, I got 2 pounds of crawfish in one of their sauces. Dude, they're crawfish are so fresh and fat. There's limited parking in the back of the building and only big enough for smaller compact cars. They have several buckets of fish sitting on ice chips, lining the middle of the store. A couple live tanks against the wall. Decent variety. When I was choosing my fish from their ice buckets, I thought they looked a little extra slimy but against my better judgment just gave it a shot anyway. Took my catfish to the kitchen to request it be fried. Within a couple hours of eating, I got the worst food poisoning I've had in a very long time. This was such a disappointing experience and now I'm sick as a dog. If I could leave 0 stars, I would.
