    Shrimp and fries combo

Shrimp and fries.. I wish they used seasoned salt instead of regular salt on fries lol.. it's still amazing

So so good!!! This place is pick up only. I ordered fried sole and snapper. I wish I had added on orange roughy. 4 of us devoured 3 pounds of fish. Yum!

The fish, shrimp and oysters are seasoned very good it actually surprised me. The potato salad and macaroni salad are good as well. This is a walk up window and the man taking your orders is very friendly and helpful. You Conley come into contact with the owner and the people pulling in to order so the ambiance is eating in your vehicle or taking you food home.

Good fried fish and shrimps. Flavorful. The menu has changed and so has the prices, but still good.

Was suggested this place by a friend. Place looks super sketchy outside BUT the fish (Catfish Fillet) was REALLY good! I got the lunch special with 3 pieces of Catfish, and it came with like 4/5 pieces of shrimp. Wasn't a big fan of the shrimps, fries were hard cooked.. I like soft fried. The Catfish Fillet WAS REALLY good, definitely recommend that. That's it.

This place is very simple from the exterior but their plates offer great flavor. Well seasoned and cooked to perfection, this place was worth the wait. The sides we chose were French fries and the macaroni was recommended. Fries were very crispy as we like them. I believe the dinner roll was kings Hawaiian. Either way, not being from the area, but seeing the yelp reviews and all of the customers that came and went as we waited spoke volume. If I'm the area we would try something else on the menu. It was perfect for no meat Fridays for lent. Well priced and large portions.. along with great service is what we really appreciated. Only down side was no exterior seating. That's ok.. we are in our cars

I would rate 8/10. Found this place via Latryguy's Instagram. Food was hot and freshly cooked. Was ready within about 10 min of ordering. Catfish could have been more flavorful but overall I liked it. Will return next time I am in LA.

Catfish, cole slaw, and some hush puppies

World seafoods is good. This is where my coworkers and I get our lunch on most Fridays as we have an unofficial Fish Fryday. The best thing according to them (locals and natives) is the catfish filet or the red snapper. I love the cat fish! The fish is fried very lightly and it does not come out super greasy (or greasy AT ALL) with some great flavor but not too much at all, where you can taste the FISH. It's good! The sides are not good, I've tried all of them a d the only OK side is the hush puppies. Don't get fries because they'll throw in some (a few, ok?) anyway with your order. Your order comes with a roll, tarter sauce packets, and some hot sauce. The service is great, the owners (super sweet Asian man and woman) are very friendly and even wrote down your exact pickup time on the number they give you once you order and pay. This place is always busy and three times as much on Fridays. Listen to me and CALL IN your order before driving over there. They'll provide you an exact time over the phone as well. There is a parking lot that gets super full and it's literally just for THEIR restaurant, so if it's ever jam packed, the street is ample too with parking. My honest opinion about the desserts is not to spend money on them, go for the fish. The fish is great, fresh, and they have really good specials. Anyway, see you there on Friday cause there's not a better spot for now for some fish!

Delicious I gave 4 star for not having fresh tarter sauce.

Figured I'd give my money to a local spot rather than Ralph's and I'm happy I did. I first went to see how much amount of catfish cost to use as a point of reference. I ordered while walking out of the store and had time to get some egg rolls from Egg Roll Bae (that'll be another review). There's plenty on parking and the door was already open ( I hate touching surfaces unnecessarily). The inside is clean and I implore you to check out the dessert counter first. The cashier was helpful and let me pick out my dessert :). I ordered a pound of catfish and a piece of sweet potato butter cake. The fish was cooked perfectly and did not have that dirty fish taste that you get with some places. Who ever is picking the fish needs to keep doing it! It was also perfectly seasoned. That sweet potato butter cake was the perfect addition. It was an impulse buy I do not regret and thank you to the couple that was ahead of me and drew it to my attention. I will say that if you order your fish by the pound, just go ahead and buy a dinner. It's cheaper and you get sides and only about 3 fewer pieces of fish than if you buy a pound, you'll come out ahead. Overall, this may be my new fish spot when I'm heading home and don't want to cook.

When I was younger, you could actually see the chickens in the back (everything was blocked from view, but you'd hear the machines). Now everything is closed off, but the chicken still tastes fresh and the quality seems the same. My mom swears it's the best chicken you can get. Product Quality & Variety I mostly buy the chicken, but they sell other meats and products too. I've seen duck eggs, regular eggs, and different cuts of meat. Even though I haven't tried their beef, everything looks fresh. Prices can be a little on the higher side, but the quality makes up for it. Food Service Service is always quick and straightforward. You tell them what you want, they get it fast, and you're out. There's usually only one or two people ahead of me, and only during holidays does it really get packed. They accept Apple Pay, cash, and EBT, which is super convenient. Hours & Convenience The only downside is the early closing hours usually around 5 p.m., and Sundays/Mondays even earlier at 1:30 p.m. Also, parking is rough. It's hard to find a spot, so we usually go in pairs: one person gets down, the other loops around the block. Ambiance It's a small, traditional Hispanic-style meat and poultry market. Everyone there speaks both English and Spanish, and it has that classic, butcher shop feel. It's clean, simple, and focused on the meat...nothing fancy, but familiar and efficient. Overall Fresh chicken, fast service, friendly staff, and long time trust from my family. Parking and early closing hours are the only real issues. But for quality, this is still our go-to spot.

There are a number of reasons why the Culver City location was so much better, but perhaps the main drawback at this LA location is the fact that the former had a real sense of ambiance, and uniqueness, particularly when it came to its cozy little cafe section. Now the "cafe" is pretty much just a space within a space. Another real draw to the Culver City location was the fact that they actually had a separate section where "Guest Chefs" could come in and teach entire classes via cooking classes that sometimes you have to sign up for in advance, and other times you could just kind of walk in on it. That was dope! And while the staff was friendly enough, and again ( don't get me wrong it's still a place that I will be back to to purchase much needed product), it's just an unfortunate reality that sometimes no....you can't duplicate the past.
