Been here 2x with girlfriends and both times got the ca nuong. With 4 hungry girls, we got the XL and there was plenty to take home. Food: crispy skin, moist catfish. You can eat with bun or wrap in rice paper. Plenty of greens and sauce but the mam is pungent (be warned). Service: arrived 830pm Saturday, no wait to place order and got food about 10mins. Ambiance: have to be ok with loud surrounding as its food court setup and not a restaurant. Nearby was a karaoke party with aunties and uncles dancing. read more

Seafood Holic is a restaurant located in the QT (Quoc Thai) Golden Marketplace. Their ca nuong da gion or GRILLED FISH is the best! It is so fresh and the price is good. As of December 2025, the medium size is $45 and small is $35. I believe the large is $55. They do accept credit cards here as well. The service is quick. I usually eat in or you can place a to-go order over the phone. They are quick and efficient and your order is usually ready in about 20-25 minutes. Recently, I placed a phone order for a medium grilled catfish and did not eat the food until 40 minutes later. The fish was still piping hot! They give you plenty of veggies and two types of sauce, a tamarind and a shrimp paste (mam ruoc) one. Both are good. I have also had their GRILLED SQUID WITH CHILI SATE- 5 stars and it was very fresh as well. It had great flavor and a nice kick of spice. I can't wait to try their other dishes. There is a lot of seating inside although it can get a little loud in the evening. Happy eating! read more

I stopped by Seafood Holic almost having one of their hot pots but settled for their nui xao bo luc lac with egg. It was a tad pricy for what it was. The nui xao was an okay texture, and the bo luc lac... was on the skimpier side. Being int his part of town, I think I expected a little more. What was especially concerning was the amount of oil and butter left at the bottom of the dish. (See photo.) Yeah it was quite a bit! This was my first time having nui xao, and this experience alone makes me never want to order it again anywhere else. read more

Located in the QT marketplace is seafood holic.. they specialized in the baked catfish but this review is for the banh canh . Banh canh here is the best. Perfect flavor . Right thickness . Good amount of seafood . Chewy noodles . My fav over all the other spots . Only issue they can be inconsistent. One time I ordered. To go and noodles were inside the soup. Sometimes I get mushrooms sometime i don't. But overall it's good enough for me to keep coming back read more

Foods were ok. Service was terrible. We ordered and waited and waited and nothing happened. When I got back to the counter to ask about our order, I overheard an old lady in front of me asking about the grill fish options, and the guy at the counter was very rude to her. He was like "Let me tell you, if you want this, it will be x dollars...". It went on like that (and my blood was boiling already lol). That ruined our experience there. Again, foods were alright, but I can't tolerate that attitude. There are places with similar foods and much better service. read more

My 2nd spot I've tried the fried catfish and sure didn't disappoint. This place is located in a food court hall. Order and seat yourself. Love the authentic ish vibe to the place with bamboo seating and all Seafood holic offers a wide array items but came mainly for their take out catfish. New and updated prices $35 (S) $45 (M) $55(L) and $65(XL). Got a small for 3 ppl and fed us well. Enjoyed this fish very much. Would recommend if ur n the area read more

I ordered the banh canh cua but it didn't have any crab in it. It did have shrimp, quail eggs, thin sliced pork belly. The soup flavor was good, but disappointed in the lack of crab, they only used imitation crab sticks for $14.50. read more

Love the baked catfish. Good price and a lot of food! The owner is so humble! It's at a food court. Everytime I'm in OC I would come here more than twice a week for catfish. They give you so much sauce and vegetable. read more

BE WARE!!! I would give this place a 0 star if I could. It's not about 0.23 cents but it's the principal of things. Guy tried to give me $4 even when it's $4.23. I asked him why he only gave me $4. He grabbed a bunch of pennies and gave to me (less than my actual change.). Didn't say sorry or try to explain himself and walked away. This is not the 1st time I experience them trying to cheat the customer. Last time I ordered a lobster noodle and it was $17.50. They came out shortly and said they ran out of lobster and tried to substitute a cheaper noodle dish without offering me a refund of the difference. If you're cheating people everyday. It adds up. Will hit you hard with karma. Banh canh cua wasn't even good. All water. No flavor. read more

Came mainly for the Ca Nuong. ~ Seafood Holic offers Seafood Vietnamese cuisine like the Yum Ca Nuong. We ordered the Medium size since the small was sold out. The fish was crispy baked w peanuts & fried onions topped. Good size that feeds up to 4 people. Given with lots of herbs & lettuce to enjoy wrapped in rice paper. Spring roll style. The rice paper they offer is a new style. Doesn't need to be dipped in water. There were 2 types of dipping sauce, tamarind & fish sauce base. Associate are friendly but the English wasn't too great. A little hard to communicate but was still able to understand one another. This restaurant spot was one of the busiest here & popular for the Ca Nuong. I'd definitely recommend this dish to enjoy with your girl/friends. They have lots of tables, chairs available also for 1st come 1st serve basis. You'll be given a # for your ordered item and the servers will wheel over the food for you. Coming to this food court. You have a Vietnam city vibe. Food stands with bamboo tables & chairs available for seating. Located in the back of the Food Court. Lots of parking available read more

First. You have to eat at one of the 7 beef rest. so that you can directly compare. once you have the fish (crispy, grilled, with all the Vegas you get with 7 beef), you will agree with me that this Seafoodholic is literally better on a handful of metrics: 1. taste -- it is simply fantastic -- with the garlic crispy slices, peanuts, onions) along with all the herbs, lettuce, cucumber, lettuce, and other Vegas. 2. Speed of delivery -- they take the order and then focus on your food and deliver to your table 3. Price wise -- about half of the 7 beef places -- 4. Options -- get a couple of side drinks such as Avocado with mango from another nearby place 5. Lastly, and perhaps best -- just stand up and presto, they clean up I was very impressed overall -- the taste, the quickness and the price -- As General MacAurthur once said, I shall return! ORDER THE CRISPY SKIN GRILLED CAT FISH! It's authentic. It's flavorful. It's healthy. And best of all, SUPER AFFORDABLE. My husband and I literally always come here to get this specific dish to go! (Pro tip: If you live nearby, call and order ahead of time as it could take 20-30 minutes for them to prep the fish, so you don't have to wait!) Otherwise, expect to wait quite a bit until you get your order. The shop is a little food stall in the back of the Golden Market, with literally 2 people working. Don't expect a fancy sit down restaurant and quick service. But like I said, we're here for the catfish! They have different sizes for the catfish: Small : $35 Medium: $45 Large: $55 XL: $65 Honestly the small is good to feed 2 people but my husband and I eat a lot so we always get the medium, which can feed 3-4 people. The dish comes with the catfish topped with fried onions, garlic and lots of green onions & crushed peanuts along with a variety of dipping sauces, vermicelli noodles and heaps of fresh veggies! A dinner for 2, with a whole lot of protein/ veggies and absolutely NO PREP WORK, is a WIN for us! We would come back to try the other dishes but the catfish definitely steals the show! We recommend ordering it first for pick up and then bringing it home to share with our friends and family. read more

Worst Lau Thai Hotpot I've ever had. They need to remove it from their menu. The broth if you can even call it broth tasted like oily water. It didn't have any shrimp in it, so so flavorless. The only good thing was they provided us with a lot of noodles and the veggies were fresh. I hope I am able to save someone from ordering their Thai hotpot. I heard their fried fish dish for spring rolls is good though. read more

Review for mi Quang $14-15 for a yummy bowl! One of my fav noodle dishes! Mi Quang was flavorful and solid, it also had a good amount of protein (large shrimp, 2? Quail eggs, pork belly) to it. The broth isn't that plentiful (saucey ish rather than broth), but what it lacks in volume it makes up for in flavor. I was relatively full by the time I finished this dish since it was on the slightly oily side. the smell was quite alluring overall and I was very satisfied with this. Don't expect too much service here, but the food was good and that's all that matters. Unfortunately they don't have any chili oil, but they got lots of chili peppers if you ask. Def wanna come back and try the baked fish next time, seems to be really popular here. Another yummy place is phi thuyen for mi Quang ! Check them both out :) read more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE their BO NUONG LA LOT. The best I ever had in my life. It was actually a lot of meat under the crispy onion in my picture. The meat was super juicy and well seasoned. They gave me a lot of varieties of Asian veggie and noodle that goes well with the sauce too. I would definitely come back just for this if I had a chance. We did wait a bit for the food, but it was worth it. read more

This restaurant is in a foodcourt inside a Vietnamese Market. The Ca Nuong was good and could serve at least 4 people. MEDIUM size was $40 and it came with rice paper that you soak in water, rice noodles, pickled radish , carrots and cucumbers, and lettuce for wrapping. You can make your own "fish spring roll"! It was a weekeday so there wasn't a lot of people. The cashier was sweet but did not speak any english so we pointed out from the menu what we wanted. The "market place" was a dissappointment but this restaurant was pretty good. I was expecting more of an H Mart type of place but this was not that kind. I would definitely go back but just to try the other restaurants. read more

Located inside the Golden Market food court. We decided to try the Ca Nuong from Seafood Holic and ordered the medium size fish. It is located inside a renovated food court that was previously a supermarket. There is ample seating inside, with various food vendors to choose from. Ordered the large catfish and it was enough to feed of a family of 5. Everything on the menu was set at a reasonable price. The catfish dish came out to be $50, and included noodles, spring roll wrapping paper, veggies, and sauces. My Viet in laws normally don't eat out, but enjoyed this meal a lot. read more

Came here with my family we ordered the XL chả nướng. I was so extremely disappointed with this place I would never come back. The XL was $65 x 7 people eating they gave us 10 pieces of rice paper idk how they think that's enough. you ask for more that's $2.00 the veggies was such small portions if you wanted more that's another $2.00 they gave use 2 small portioned of the dipping sauce we needed more that's another $2.00. What really upset me was I told the guy please DO NOT put PEANUTS I watched him write it and the fish came out with loads of peanuts! I went back and told him and just looked at me like with a dead stare, then told me to scrape it off wtf? Said oh I told the back but I guess.... I won't be coming back it' wasn't even good, skin was chewy, price having to keep adding bc they don't give enough is ridiculous. read more

I love the lady works/owns this place! She's so funny, the whole experience is so funny and bizarre lol. We ordered the catfish, a squid dish, and a snail dish. Waited a while because they make when you order. About 20-30 mins later the lady wheel out a cart asking out loud whose fish is this LOL!! We were like ours!! (as we raised our hands lol). She came over and was very nice, mumbled in Vietnamese other stuff, just chit chat, we understood her here and there. She came back later with our other dishes but the catfish is the only thing I would recommend here, if you can call it recommend. I might not come back here altogether actually. My friend likes this place so she wanted us all to come here for the catfish but I had much better ones at other places. My friend swore they only baked the catfish here but I can tell they definitely fried it too. It's really hard to get all the edges of the catfish perfectly crispy soaked in oil unless you deep-fried it. If they baked the fish only I don't think you can get the whole fish evenly crispy. Overall, it's a food court/street food style so you need to do your own serving/cleaning almost. Catfish was okay. I didnt have the squid but my friends said it was bad, the squid was old, my friend could taste how bad the squid was before it was cooked. The snail was okay, way too much oil, butter, and garlic. read more

I always order from here when my family and I crave ca nuong da gion. I love the food and service here. Everytime we come they greet and welcome us and make sure we are comfortable. There's a boba shop across from them on the other side of the marketplace that also made sure were comfortable and gave us so many good drinks. The vibe there is more of mimicking a marketplace in Vietnam and I love it. We always order ca nuong da gion (baked catfish) and mango salad. I will definitely come back and try the crawfish soon as well. I love the cook here she is so sweet and you can tell she loves what she does. Extremely beyond amazing for the pricing as well! read more

How has this place not been reviewed?! This place is locared inside a food court like setup. Don't be intimidated. Just walk towalks the back wall and thats were you'll find this little gem. We ordered the baked catfish. After a 25 minute wait, our main event was carted over to us. The dining environment and food presentation isnt the best, but the fllavor, texture and freshness are . This is some of the best fish we've had. It easily surpasses the old standard Favori (gasp!) It was fresh and not oily. Give it a try and see if don't agree. read more

Easter Sunday, I ordered 2 medium grilled fish to go at 12:03p, $40 each with a total of $98 ($12 tip included). I was told to come back in 30 minutes. I approached the cash register at 12:40p to pick up my orders. I went thru the series of questions, even though I had already handed out the receipt, when were you ordered, who you ordered with, etc. Seriously??? Food was so good and different from anything in the SGV. Granted it is a food court and you can pretend you are in Saigon. We just had the most horrific experience dining at this pop up so called restaurant. They had us waited 0ver 45 minutes to get our first dish. No plates, bowls or utensils. We had to ask them several times and were told the dishes had not been washed. The last dish came out after another 30 minutes delayed because the cook didn't see the order. When we about to leave the cashier told us that we owed them 15% gratuity because there were 5 of us. Unbelievable!! We couldn't believe the cashier had the nerve to demand gratuity. There is no sign that says there is a mandatory 15% gratuity for more than 4 people. But looking at the boy's pitiful face, my mom gave him money and told him this will be the last time we go there. To be fair, Foods are average overall, grilled fish is above average. The prices there could be a concern since it is not posted. So if it's a full moon on a Friday, you could be charged more than the usual. We recommend Nam Giao restaurant where services are consistent and it fits the meaning of a full service restaurant! read more

Came in for lunch after rush hour so the food court was not very busy with light music playing in the background. The food court offers a portable karaoke machine that is pushed around the table for guest to sing. Not sure if you have to pay to sing or not, the least is to give the guy a tip I guess. This is the only stall in the food court that offered mì quảng. I ordered a bowl and was given a number to be placed on the table for them to bring the food and utensils. My noodle was delivered to my table along with utensil and a plate of vegetable. I was disappointed to see that the only thing on the plate was some bean sprout, large julienne green lettuce twice the size that most restaurant serve, a slice of lime, thai chili, and a good size piece of bánh đa. There were no herbs of any kind on the plate and sambal nor any typical chili sauce available. Upon my first taste of the soup it felt very greasy and lacks any flavor. However the noodles were cooked perfectly. The bowl included approximately 10 pieces of pork belly sliced 1/8 inch thick by 1 inch wide and cooked to done but not tender. Also included was a quail eggs and 4 shrimp size 21/25 which have been stewed in fish sauce along with the pork belly. The cashier who served me was nice and tried to be accomodating. This is my first time eating here, I will give them another opportunity and come back and try something else but definitely not this course since it lacks any kind of flavor or taste. Enjoy and try new restaurant. read more
