So many seafood choices and specials! The rigatoni with shrimp & broccoli was tasty and just fantastic! The line is long but goes quickly. The seafood combo is big and really good. They have video games inside for the kids to play. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Nice view of the bay. We definitely will return again.

My first time coming to seafood city as my usual stop is at Tony or johnnys at the end. It's cash only and they have multiple lines for different t things . My kids ordered the shrimp and I ordered clams in the half shelf. My son also had the burger , I decided on getting a pina colada light which was $9 . The food was good and fresh and we were able to sit outside even though it was a little brisk hearing the seagulls adds to the ambiance . They have a small arcade section which is pretty expensive but the kids had fun. Lots of parking an no fights lol

Henny coladas are always a favorite here and an NYC summertime staple that yoh can't go wrong with. Come with cash because they are cash only !

This placed is rightfully called "Seafood City"! The menu is extensive. It's very difficult to decide on what to get. If you don't come early, you will be on line for over 30 minutes. And it's another 30-45 minute wait to actually get your food. Unfortunately I was unable to wait to get food so I got a couple of drinks; Henny Colada and the Blue Hawaiian. Both drinks were equally delicious and strong. I can't wait to come back here and experience the food. Cash Only.

I wasn't prepared for this Instagram recommendation to actually live up to the hype--but Seafood City did just that. First off, plenty of free parking, which in New York feels like striking gold. Walking in, I was surprised to see a massive, cafeteria-style setup with rows of picnic tables. It wasn't the vibe I expected, but once I settled in, it worked for the casual, lively atmosphere. The menu is huge, filled with countless seafood combos at very reasonable prices. I ordered the Seafood Paella and Manhattan Clam Chowder. The chowder was a bit different than I anticipated--more like a seafood-infused minestrone--but still flavorful and hearty. The paella, however, really impressed me. Perfectly cooked rice (not gummy at all) with every piece of seafood tender, well-seasoned, and balanced throughout the dish. I chose to sit outside, which made the experience even better. There's an outdoor bar with frozen and on-the-rocks drinks, plus waterfront views where you can watch the boats lined up along the docks. The atmosphere, paired with fresh food and fair prices, makes this a spot worth the trip to City Island. Would definitely come back when I'm craving a casual seafood fix with a view.

Love this spot for chill vibes and good seafood. Its very casual so if you want more sit down with service don't come here. It's more cafeteria style wait with a number. I think the prices are reasonable and the drinks def have liqqqqaaaaa. Crab legs and french fries are my go to but the lobster tails are good too. Def stop by the bar! But please note they are CASH ONLY. They do have atms but of course that has a fee.

This spot is doing THIS right!! 100%! There is plenty of parking. We came here directly AFTER eating at Tony's. OMG am I glad we did. Tony's was a disappointment. This place has personality. Check out my pics!! My brother ordered 2 dozen Oysters, Fried Lobster and Shrimp. The fries here and skinny short fries. The shrimp were delicious!! The lobster was also delicious. The CORONA was also iced cold. The oysters were huge and UBER FRESH! They were served with lemon wedges, horseradish, ketchup, Tabasco sauce. YUMMY!! If you are bringing children - they have an arcade area and the decor ALL OVER is FUNTASTIC! Outdoor patio has plenty of seating over looking the waterfront. All-in-all a fantastic end to a really unsatisfactory day. COME EAT HERE!!

This restaurant has been a part of my life for more than 22 years, and each time I go, it feels special and nostalgic. When I was a child, I can still recall thinking I was traveling to an exotic place, like the Caribbean, to have fresh seafood on the drive to City Island. Once we arrived I would grab my meal and run outside on to the seats, taking in the grandeur of the water's vista. I will not gatekeep Seafood City, the Bronx's secret jewel! If you're looking for delicious fried shrimp with a side order of french fries (which also includes a pickle and coleslaw), Seafood City is one of the greatest places to go. The shrimp tastes even better when you squeeze some lemon over it. They have a huge menu and also make delicious baked clams, crab legs, and lobster tails. The seafood here is incredibly fresh, you will not find anything like this in New York. The portions are substantial and the order of shrimp and fries, along with the sides, costs less than $20. The pricing is also reasonable. It should be noted that this establishment accepts only cash. However, there is an ATM on site for you to withdraw cash, or you can go to a local bank. There is plenty of space to park if you are driving because the lot is large. You can also take public transportation use the 6 line to Pelham Bay and then transfer to the 29 bus to get to City Island. This location is both indoor and outdoor seating, and is ideal for large gatherings. However, it is self-serve with no wait staff. I can not forget about the Pina Colada, which is the main deal, to Henny or not Henny? (IYKYK) The cherry is the best part, and you can choose whether or not you want alcohol in it. Personally, I like both! This beverage is ideal for a spring or summer day, and it's delightful to sit outside and enjoy the view of the water. They also have wine, sangria and other cocktails.

We've been going to Seafood City for years. It's our go-to spot for the food, drinks, service and very spacious whenever in CI. Great spot to ride in on your motorcycle; plenty of parking. Pretty clean facilities. Quick service and the drinks are amazing. Not sure about some of these reviews saying they're watered down - oh hell no!! At least that was never the case when we've gone there over the years. Try their Henny colada (strong) and you'll see. The only con they don't have umbrellas at the bench tables to prevent the sun beating on your head. Overall nice place and definitely recommended.

I think I officially found my new seafood spot!…read more My boyfriend took me to City Island Lobster House, and the food and service were easily a 5/5. Our waiter, Antonio, was an absolute delight and took great care of us! Fair warning: this place gets PACKED, so be prepared for a wait. One thing I really appreciated, though, was that as soon as our food was ready, they brought it out. Everything arrived HOT and fresh. They start you off with antipasto and garlic bread, and both were SO good. But consider yourself warned pace yourself. We made the rookie mistake of going in a little too hard and were already getting full before our entrées arrived. I mean... you can't go to the Lobster House and not get lobster. I ordered the $49.95 Lobster Clam Bake Special, which came with Maine lobster, mussels, baked clams, corn, clam chowder and dessert. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and for everything included, I thought it was a great value. My boyfriend ordered the grilled Norwegian salmon, and honestly, his was REALLY good too. Now, if you love garlic like I do, GET THE NOODLES. The linguine in that garlicky olive oil sauce was one of my favorite things on the table. My only miss was the clam chowder. Mine had a lot of potatoes and barely any clams, so I would've liked a much better clam-to-potato ratio. The ice cream cake roll that came with my special, was rich and decadent. Definitely a good way to end the meal. Overall, fresh seafood, generous portions, hot food, great value and wonderful service from Antonio. We will absolutely be back!

The chef comes from the world of high-end NYC dining, and you can feel that experience in every detail of the food. There's a level of creativity, precision, and thoughtfulness here that honestly feels Michelin-worthy. This makes sense, because the restaurant has earned that recognition. Beyond the food, Archie's also has one of the best Scotch and whiskey (bourbon and rye included) selections anywhere in the area. It feels curated by people who genuinely care about food and drink, not just running another restaurant. We eat there often, especially for brunch, which is spectacular and consistently better than it has any right to be for a neighborhood spot on City Island. The best example of the attention to detail was the chopped cheese sandwich special. When it arrived, my first thought was: "How is anyone supposed to eat this giant thing?" But then you take a bite and realize the bread was custom made specifically for the sandwich. Somehow it completely melts in your mouth along with the meat and cheese, making this enormous sandwich unexpectedly delicate and perfectly balanced. It's the kind of detail most restaurants would never even think about. Archie's is a true hidden gem and proof that truly exceptional food can exist in places you wouldn't expect.

The restaurant has plenty of room for large parties, and I appreciated how accommodating everyone was. Our server, Diana, deserves her flowers. She was friendly, patient, detailed, and stayed on top of everything. Managing a group our size without needing the Avengers as backup deserves some recognition. Now, the food. Visually, everything came out looking good and cooked properly. The biggest issue across our table was simple: SALT. Somebody apparently sent the seasoning to a galaxy far, far away. I ordered the crab cakes. They were made with real crab and prepared the way crab cakes should be, but mine had almost no flavor. I ended up adding blue cheese to give them some life. I also had the rice with broiled scallops. The scallops were a little chewy, but the sauce had enough seasoning and salt that mixing some into the rice helped tremendously. I wasn't the only one reaching for the salt shaker either. Several people in our group added salt to their meals. The prices also felt high, especially since many of us ordered from the lunch menu. None of this makes me write the place off. The service was strong, they treated our large group well, the seafood was fresh, and there are several things on the menu I still want to try. So yes, I'll return. My final message to the kitchen, with all the seriousness of Captain Picard addressing the bridge: Season the food. The Force is already with the seafood. Now bring the salt.

This beautifully prepared fillet showcased the chef's skill, generously filled with succulent crab meat that complemented the delicate, flaky fish perfectly. Every bite was a harmonious blend of flavors that melted on the palate. Accompanying the flounder was a baked potato that deserves its own praise. Tender, smooth, and perfectly seasoned, it had a wonderful buttery texture that paired beautifully with the main course. I also indulged in the fried shrimp, which arrived golden and crispy. The accompanying sauce elevated the dish to another level entirely--perfectly balanced and expertly crafted to enhance rather than overpower the natural sweetness of the shrimp. The french fries were equally impressive: crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. JP's has earned a loyal customer in me.
