My first time coming to seafood city as my usual stop is at Tony or johnnys at the end. It's cash only and they have multiple lines for different t things . My kids ordered the shrimp and I ordered clams in the half shelf. My son also had the burger , I decided on getting a pina colada light which was $9 . The food was good and fresh and we were able to sit outside even though it was a little brisk hearing the seagulls adds to the ambiance . On this day, May 13, I went to seafood city, and I was in shock. One of the managers came up to my friend and I and asked if we were smoking weed and marijuana. Then he asked what we were doing with the food mind you we paid for it and we were taking home our leftovers I felt violated and very disrespected. Then I went to the owner and manager and they laughed. I couldn't believe it. I've been going this all my life. The worst experience ever be careful when you go there that you're not accused of something or smoking. I feel very disrespected. I am no child no teenager. None of that was necessary. It's messed up my dinner my and my whole day. I was disappointed on how we we were treated that employee approached us and questioned us about our food while we were packing up our food that was already pay for.he also wrongly suggested that my friend and i were smoking marijuana !...the interaction made us feel very uncomfortable I went up to him to let him know that we felt disrespected, and there were two other managers behind the counter and they laughed. I would like for someone in charge or their manager to kindly kindly review how they talk to customers and approach customers because this experience made me very uncomfortable we came to enjoy our meal and left embarrassed at the way he treated us!!! They laughed when I approached them to let them know that I felt uncomfortable and he lied in front of the manager and said he didn't say that. my friend is 72 and I am 65 and we felt unfairly treated. I had a very uncomfortable experience here. I'm a regular customer and often eat here, which made this even more disappointing. I tried to pay with an older $100 bill. Two female staff members were very kind and checked it under a light, saying it looked real. However, another employee loudly questioned it in front of a full dining room, implying it was fake. He then wrote "fake bill" across both the front and back of my money with a Sharpie, damaging it. This was extremely embarrassing, especially in front of other people. The bill has since been verified as real. I understand businesses can refuse payment, but publicly embarrassing a customer and damaging their property is not acceptable. This placed is rightfully called "Seafood City"! The menu is extensive. It's very difficult to decide on what to get. If you don't come early, you will be on line for over 30 minutes. And it's another 30-45 minute wait to actually get your food. Unfortunately I was unable to wait to get food so I got a couple of drinks; Henny Colada and the Blue Hawaiian. I wasn't prepared for this Instagram recommendation to actually live up to the hype--but Seafood City did just that. First off, plenty of free parking, which in New York feels like striking gold. Walking in, I was surprised to see a massive, cafeteria-style setup with rows of picnic tables. It wasn't the vibe I expected, but once I settled in, it worked for the casual, lively atmosphere. The menu is huge, filled with countless seafood combos at very reasonable prices. I ordered the Seafood Paella and Manhattan Clam Chowder. The chowder was a bit different than I anticipated--more like a seafood-infused minestrone--but still flavorful and hearty. The paella, however, really impressed me. Perfectly cooked rice (not gummy at all) with every piece of seafood tender, well-seasoned, and balanced throughout the dish. I chose to sit outside, which made the experience even better. There's an outdoor bar with frozen and on-the-rocks drinks, plus waterfront views where you can watch the boats lined up along the docks. Check out my pics!! My brother ordered 2 dozen Oysters, Fried Lobster and Shrimp. The fries here and skinny short fries. The shrimp were delicious!! The lobster was also delicious. The CORONA was also iced cold. The oysters were huge and UBER FRESH! They were served with lemon wedges, horseradish, ketchup, Tabasco sauce. YUMMY!! If you are bringing children - they have an arcade area and the decor ALL OVER is FUNTASTIC! Outdoor patio has plenty of seating over looking the waterfront. Ok so it's the summer in the city and that could only mean 1 of 20 things.....CITY ISLAND! So I trek up to the Bronx on Memorial Day for some amazing seafood. My goddaughter says let's do Seafood City (they have a parking lot, so that was a win) Upon entry there is a sign 'CASH ONLY'....sigh. Because we carries that kind of cash in 2025. But of course they have 2 atms right there for $3. Sigh!!! Ok, so I get the cash and to the line we go. We order.....then wait. Prices are very reasonable. In the meantime I go to a different bar to get my drink. Now they are all the same size however, different prices depending on your quality of liquor. I got a piña colado (medium). It was really nice. Had to mix it up cause all of the liquor was on the bottom. The food comes about 20min later. It looks incredible. However, it's not seasoned to taste. No salt, no old bay....NOTHING!! The crab legs were very bland. The shrimp was blah! No butter to dip anything in. The rice was good, the corn on the cob was good. I came here with my family to have a Saturday night out and we had a great time. The weather was nice and sunny which was perfect for outdoor seating. A huge parking lot with lots of spots which was perfect. The place is only cash only which was annoying but they had atms inside which charge a $2.25 fee. The prices were pretty affordable and the lines moved pretty fast. They needed umbrellas for the outdoor seating because the sun was kind of intense. Also be aware those benches hurt after a while so its best to wear long pants because of the holes in the chair it can leave a mark on your legs lol. The food and drinks were good! We've been going to Seafood City for years. It's our go-to spot for the food, drinks, service and very spacious whenever in CI. Great spot to ride in on your motorcycle; plenty of parking. Pretty clean facilities. Quick service and the drinks are amazing. Not sure about some of these reviews saying they're watered down - oh hell no!! At least that was never the case when we've gone there over the years. Try their Henny colada (strong) and you'll see. The only con they don't have umbrellas at the bench tables to prevent the sun beating on your head. Overall nice place and definitely recommended. read more

When I was a child, I can still recall thinking I was traveling to an exotic place, like the Caribbean, to have fresh seafood on the drive to City Island. If you're looking for delicious fried shrimp with a side order of french fries (which also includes a pickle and coleslaw), Seafood City is one of the greatest places to go. The shrimp tastes even better when you squeeze some lemon over it. They have a huge menu and also make delicious baked clams, crab legs, and lobster tails. The seafood here is incredibly fresh, you will not find anything like this in New York. The portions are substantial and the order of shrimp and fries, along with the sides, costs less than $20. The pricing is also reasonable. It should be noted that this establishment accepts only cash. However, there is an ATM on site for you to withdraw cash, or you can go to a local bank. There is plenty of space to park if you are driving because the lot is large. You can also take public transportation use the 6 line to Pelham Bay and then transfer to the 29 bus to get to City Island. This location is both indoor and outdoor seating, and is ideal for large gatherings. However, it is self-serve with no wait staff. I can not forget about the Pina Colada, which is the main deal, to Henny or not Henny? (IYKYK) The cherry is the best part, and you can choose whether or not you want alcohol in it. Personally, I like both! This beverage is ideal for a spring or summer day, and it's delightful to sit outside and enjoy the view of the water. They do have an outside area where you can sit outside the summertime but there's nobody out there today cause it's kind of cold outside, but they also have a game area where the kids can play games and you can just take your time and eat your food and enjoy your company. I really enjoy this place! Used to come all the time but moved away, but was able to stop by this sunday. It's a pretty packed placed usually so arrive with plenty of time. The venue is very nice, I like the theme and it's very friendly. Some of the wallpaper seems to have taken a beating over the years, so could use some TLC. Bathrooms are pretty decent, but on a Saturday evening they can definitely be a bit messy. The arcade area is a very nice touch and kids love it! When I was a kid I used to always spend my time there. The service is good. Sometimes lines are longgggg, but they're efficient, just usually a lot of customers. They also only take cash. They text you once your order is complete which is nice. The food itself is fantastic! I'm a huge fan of the fried shrimp, but the apps like chicken fingers, mozz sticks, etc. are also good. Lobster tails were also good when I tried them. Their coleslaw is delicious. The food is easy takeout which is what I usually do and it's wrapped and prepared nicely. I've tried their drinks before and the pina colada is great!! If I wasn't driving I would've gotten one! Service was fast and food came out hot. However definitely not the place for date night or if your looking for top notch seafood. I ordered the cod fish nuggets and they were bland. Nice amount of fries included in all meals. My husbands red snapper had absolutely no flavor. Thankfully we had tartar sauce. Atmosphere is loud due to the announcement of orders over the intercom. We ordered the following: linguini with clams, shrimp and scallops Fried seafood combo Fried calamari basket 3 fried shrimp baskets Fried lobster tail basket And chicken parmigiana , which by the way was the most flavorful dish. Stopped by the Seafood City food court in City Island this past weekend. The food court area is really big and the food options are endless. There is obviously seafood options but also burger and pizza options for those who prefer that. We ordered the Seafood Marinara pasta which was a really great value for the price of $28. The portion was much bigger than expected with scallops, clams, oysters, shrimp and even half a lobster. Definitely recommend getting this dish at Seafood City. The Shrimp Scampi with rice was not bad, a little on the oily side. Baked Casino Clams was pretty average too and came in a portion of 8 pieces.
