For a little taste of the best of both worlds you can't go wrong with Sea siam. You have a full Thai menu offering amazing curries along with other dishes and you have a full Japanese menu offering katsu's and sashimi. Pairing for the best of both worlds. The place decor will make you feel right in Asia and the service is up to par with their culture. Don't expect anything more than fast service and calling the server your way.

The food was delicious I enjoyed everything that I ate. The clear noodles were my favorite! Great portions packed with flavor. The restaurant isn't fancy but it has a lot of character. The waiter was friendly and from Thailand. I recommend this place.

I forgot the name of the sushi I got but it was SO. GOOD. It had giant chunks of salmon in it. Everything else was good too, but I loved the sushi. The service was ok - I think we caught our server on a bad day. I kind of love that the restaurant hasn't changed in years. I want to go back and check out the bar!

I know our eyes are somewhat bigger than our stomachs but the service was slow dues to the large early birders table and other birds, but the food we had was the bomb. We had the veggie tempura, and seaweed salad to begin. I had the sushi, sashimi, tempura combo, with miso soup, mom had the Tom yum goon with shrimp soup, & the beef Padang with brown rice. I did feel bad for the elderly couple who after getting their soup and little purse appetizer waited quite a while for their dinner order which came while we were through our main courses and we came in long after they had been sitting. They did need a few more servers to help out, because the few they did have were overwhelmed. I always enjoy having my sushi and Thai food here.

I ordered the sushi for pick up and wow ! Such a great value for money it was all of this yummy sushi ( a hand roll included ) plus miso soup for $17. It was the veggie combo platter. I haven't had sushi this tasty and for good value in a long time ! Definitely going to go dine in one day. Highly recommend the sushi combos.

Well this evening we decided to pay Sea Siam a visit, which is nestled in Pinecrest not too far from our digs. After a long day at the beach we were both craving some Asian Fusion and some sushi to boot. To start we ordered the Kanisu which was very refreshing and fresh. Really love that crab and cucumber in that light sweet sauce. We also ordered the Dragon Rill as well for an appetizer which has always been a crowd favorite at Sea Siam. The sushi bar at Sea Siam is very good and the sushi chef's are always super nice to everyone as well. Really all the staff are very courteous and always provide us with great service. We have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed it. For our main entrees we ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and the Lady Finger sushi platter. As expected both items were excellent and very fresh. Truthfully for those who have not been here the restaurant is very unassuming and does not look like much; however, the food never disappoints; also, they have a pretty good full bar as well. Martini's or Moscow Mule's anyone? Important to note that you can also order food in the bar area so should you opt for the bar area and you get the munchies, no need to worry they have you covered. Parking should not be a problem either as they are located in a pretty large mall. So if you haven't tried them out and are looking for a Thai & Japanese restaurant that has good food and will not break the bank you should give them a try. Enjoy and Bon Appétit!

I am updating my review to a five star - as the pandemic - needs patrons to appreciate what restaurants are doing in these hard times. I came today after having been to the dentist and I needed to be cheered up. So with my frozen, n numb face I could not be bothered to fiddle around with the contactless download menu option on my phone (great idea - but I was feeling fed up n lazy). I received a prettily newly designed paper one - see all my pics. I chose their duck lunch special for a great price of 10.95 - which includes their soup of the day, egg fried rice, a small spring roll and the dish that I choose. They had a few duck dishes - I have tried a alternative duck one before - see my previous review, so this time I chose a differet one - the red thai curry one. The Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was just what the doctor (aka dentist this time ordered) The soup was wholesome - with big chicken pieces, slivers of chineses mushrooms and beansprouts, with sliced spring onions and had a slight sweet and sour taste - I don't know what it was, but it was nice. My curry was mild to medium (as the waitress said "medium is hot") it was perfect for me - with a nice warmth to it. The duck was succulent but with a crispy skin (my favourite) and served with a lovely creamy red curry thai sauce, and plenty of it (I hate it, when there is not enough sauce). I also love their presentation here, for example their rice is placed inside a triangular dish and upturned onto your dish so it looks pretty - rather than just a blob! (see pics)

Great service but food lacked flavor we asked did extra spicy and got red pepper flakes. The bar is nice and dark and their martinis are decent. The price is a little high, sad to report not worth eating authentic Thai food here.

We chose the Oma Deluxe because we wanted the entire experience. Francisco explained each sushi and what part of the fish we were eating. Each dish was brought out separately. There were about 9 pieces of different cuts of fish. They were delicious! My daughter had Sake and I had Non-alcoholic beer. Both went fine with our meal. Afterwards, we were served dessert. What a great experience! Give it a try when you can. Later, we went upstairs to ASTRA restaurant and bar to further enjoy our evening with beautiful views of Miami. Parking is mostly limited street parking though, so plan ahead. This spot is more about curated tastings, sashimi, nigiri, and handrolls rather than specialty rolls, so don't expect a huge roll menu. We ordered the sashimi assortment, white fish tasting, seared salmon, bluefin tuna tasting, unagi foie gras, and a few handrolls including blue crab and negi toro. Everything tasted super fresh and flavorful, especially the bluefin and unagi foie gras. Portions are on the lighter side though, so we left satisfied but not totally full. Cedrick was awesome and really made the experience better. He knew the menu inside and out and explained everything perfectly. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Wynwood and want quality sushi without the overly trendy vibe.

We also tried one of their sushi rolls topped with miso and filled with fresh tuna and salmon, and it was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. You can really taste the quality in every bite. We got there a bit before our reservation time, and they let us sit in the smaller dining area as we waited for our spots to open up. We all did the $200 tasting and we were all pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the bites. It's 8 courses that range from a nigiri sampler, small bites, and dessert. Most memorable were the clam broth, beef loin and carrots, and the fatty tuna nigiri with caviar on top. The fatty tuna nigiri with caviar was the main reason I wanted the tasting! I truly appreciate when servers know their menu well and are able to make suggestions. I can't remember my server's name, but she was just top-notch. We ordered: - Miso soup, (served in a charming, Japanese chawan mushi cup) the flavor was really good and strong. (I hate it when it's weak) - Spicy dumplings. They tasted homemade. Yummy - Shrimp shu mai, good, tasted as it should - Tanaka roll, with extra crispies on top, (I was not a fan because I did not expect it to be deep-fried. if it had not been deep-fried, I would've liked it.) - Peking duck served in an impressive three tier tower that looks like a round Chinese Temple. - Pork Belly Bao bun, this was also a miss for me because I expected it to taste like barbecue, but it was just really salty like they used a lot of brown salty sauce. All in all, I really enjoyed this restaurant, even though I didn't like those two items. Bec But, because of the excellent service, the atmosphere and the beautiful way they served the food, I decided to leave them a five star review. Those dishes weren't bad they just weren't what I expected. We don't live in the area so if we were to stay in this hotel again, we would definitely dine here again. I'm not sure what they add to it, but it is delicious. If you have room for dessert, the fried milk is interesting because it has several different flavors and textures you can combine. The one dish I would not necessarily recommend is the madai crudo, which needed a little more flavor in my opinion. Service is good both at the tables and in the bar area.

The crab cake curry as surprisingly tasty, with the savory salty crab balanced by the creamy slightly spicy curry sauce. The chicken skewers had a nice flavor although could have been a little juicier. All of the nigiris were fresh and flavorful, and they even accidentally brought us another table's order of salmon nigiri which they realized and said it was on the house as an anniversary gift!
