This place is no longer open, they are not even an option on the walk up ordering machine at the ghost kitchen.

Char Siu Chicken box. Delicious.

Have been missing taste of Angkor since it closed down, so happy to have found this spot so close. If you order through the sea hut website and do pick up it's a bit weird to figure out when you show up, but just go in the pick up area, push the help button, and they'll go get your order. It's a ghost kitchen and atmosphere is weird, but food is delicious. Got the box with Char Siu Chicken, loaded fries, sticky rice and fish sauce. Chicken was very flavorful and veggies were fresh, sticky rice was cooked well, and fish sauce was tasty. Next time when it's not so hot I'm looking forward to trying the Salaw Machu and the Angel wings. Usually have to go down to Stockton or Modesto to get those, so excited to have somewhere in sac.

Be ware! Not a restaurant, only a food pick lobby! Was misunderstood to be like some kind of food hall or something but it was just a food lobby. No wonder why my Grubhub order was messed up the last time. But it's ok. I still ordered something to go since the food wasn't that bad the last time. Ambiance is a warehouse setting in a construction area by capital casino.

REALLY!?? For $15 I get this.I'm so disappointing.Only 7 small pieces of chicken and mostly rice and veggies.

REALLY!?? For $16 I get this.I'm so disappointing.Only 7 small pieces of chicken and mostly rice and veggies. I work in the food business as well and would be embarrassed to serve this to any customers. The box came sideways. Everything was on the side and the sauce fell out and spilled all over the floor. All I have to say is do better and show your hard working customers that you care.

The food was sooo good, the portions were huge, and the service was great. It's in a cute little neighborhood, and surprisingly not busy when we stopped in. They have highchairs and the staff was super friendly with our 1-year-old, which made things easy. All the beer options are on tap, and they're good ones. Will definitely return next time I'm in Sacramento!

Not too heavy. -Lao Sausage:: Meaty and I liked the flavor. It went well with the side sauce. I wish it came with more sticky rice though. -Chicken Larb: This was solid and I liked the tangy flavor. Portion size is pretty small though and only came with one cup of lettuce. -Lao Papaya Salad: Solid, but I've had better elsewhere. -Salmon Pad Thai: My favorite dish of the night! The best part were the salmon bites which were glazed in the sweet pad Thai sauce and had a crispy exterior and soft interior. Super delicious. -Khao Piak: Warm, thick, tangy, and comforting bowl of noodle soup. Overall, I enjoyed everything despite the smaller portion sizes for some of the dishes. The service here was pretty good and the interior was clean and cozy. Parking is street parking. A solid restaurant for Asian food in Sacramento.

Now unfortunately I did have to dock 1 star purely for the food because I would love for this restaurant to keep thriving and I would be so happy to come back again and give a higher rating! I'm a long term fan of Kru and Kodaiko so I was really excited for Chu Mai. My first time, I ordered the lobster shrimp cheong fun and this was bougie dish that I enjoyed! We also ordered the laksa pasta which was a seasonal item (unknownst to me) and even though our kind server told us it was spicy, my friend's and I were thinking we eat spicy korean food all the time, it'll be fine. It was not fine, it was really spicy BUT it was delicious. Picture 3 asian visibly sweating and going back for more while downing copious amount of water and eating the roasted cabbage as a palete/spice cleanser. I actually took some of the pasta home to share with my partner who also thought the flavor was sooo good and wanted to come here for our anniversary. I totally forgot to write a review back then, because I would have suggested an option small cup of coconut milk or broth that people can mix to make the curry less spicy. Now for our anniversary dinner, I want to restate, service was impeccable! They went above and beyond! I really enjoyed the Cà Ri Khaoi Taylor, I love me crispy potatoes! But unfortunately the Bún Riêu not only came a bit later than expected. It was also slightly undercooked so it made for a harder mouthful when I bit into the dry/raw pasta parts. Our amazing server offered to change the dish and we took the lobster dandan noodles to go since we were on a time crunch, so I didnt really eat the noodles super fresh. It was good but it didnt have the kick and enticing flavor that the laksha curry pasta had. So I mainly wanted to come here and praise the servers, but also bring up that yes the laksa pasta back! We can handle the spice!!

We love trying new things on the menu every time we go, and honestly, everything we've had has been delicious. You really can't go wrong here! I also have to give a huge shoutout to Raef, who made our experience even more special! He was the friendliest and most attentive server we've had so far. He was on top of everything, constantly making sure we had everything we needed and that our drinks and food were coming out on time. His service was truly exceptional! We had such a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary here, and we'll definitely be back soon! :)

I walked inside having no idea that it was going to be a top quality experience. The restaurant was huge and it was packed at 5 PM. We couldn't get a table so we sat at the sushi bar, and there was plenty of room there. Plus watching all of the chefs put together the Omakase offerings was really cool. We opted for the Japanese cauliflower curried soup, the black cod special, the king Roll, the watermelon and mint salad and the shrimp and corn dumpling. Every single dish was FIRE!!! The flavors were delicate and nuanced and perfectly balanced. Even the frisée lettuce on the watermelon and mint salad was a flavor explosion. We found ourselves drinking the sauce out of the bowl from the shrimp and corn dumpling. The croutons in the curried cauliflower soup were crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside. The black cod was the texture of a scallop and the squash purée set it off just right. The king Roll was a marvel to see and absolutely a delight to eat. I loved that little hint of lemon that accented the crab and lobster flavors. 1000% recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys really damn good food. Craziest part of the meal was the cost, it was incredibly reasonably priced, not overpriced, like most restaurants of this caliber. We will definitely be back. Thank you Kru for making my special occasion even more special!

Glad my mom suggested it for her birthday dinner or I don't know when I would've ever gone! Service was excellent (both helpful & informative). Since we'd never gone before, we were offered a sample of the broths; this was super helpful and appreciated because I ended up not ordering one of the broths I thought I was definitely going to get. I got the Kobe Beef with Miso & Crab Rieu as the two broths. I was able to comfortably split the large size with my husband, but we probably could've used a slightly larger portion for his sake. (He felt a bit hungry after the meal but noted his stomach had settled.) As a party of 5, two of us shared one pot (or two broths) and three shared another pot. The chicken wings appetizer was very flavorful too! (The server listed three options for wings and we went with the one that included jalapeños.) For noodles, you can choose between instant ramen, fresh ramen or vermicelli. It also came with a small scoop of ice cream at the end of the meal! I think I'll come back for AYCE soon. I ordered the Large American Kobe Beef with miso and crab broths. It was an average size to feed two people, however I was hungry so I was not full after the meal. The dish came with thin sliced beef, veggies, and choice of noodles or rice. The portion of noodles was very small. The crab broth was my favorite of all the broths and had a nice crab flavor. The meal came with dessert which was a choice of ice cream; I chose the cookies and cream. The chicken wing appetizer was scrumptious. The wings were fried and coated with sauce with lots of jalapenos. Service was good as the employee offered samples of all their broths to assist in making a selection. After the food was served he checked if we needed anything and refilled water. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It was busy on a Saturday evening so reservations are recommended. Free parking is on the street.
