Great find for me. Have a handful of pricey pocket knives that I use for EDC (Sypderco, Benchmade, etc.). Wanted to send a benchmade in for sharpening by the manufacturer, but found Taylor in town and I believe that he was able to get it sharper than when I first bought it. Recommended him to some guys I know and gladly dropped more off to him. He was able to fix a chipped tip Spyderco and made a few lower end pockets knives that had sentimental value feel even better. As a professional Chef, I really rely on my tools being top notch. I use Taylor (the owner) for my quarterly sharpening to keep my knives razor sharp. I have tried to hand sharpen my knives, but it makes such a difference when a pro does it! It's nice that he does all of his sharpening free hand on Japanese Whet stones, which really prolongs the life of your knife. I believe he is the only person in town using whet stones, instead of a machine that eats away at your knife so aggressively. His pricing is totally reasonable considering the amount of skill needed to do what he does. Had three pocketknives that were varying degrees of used; he brought them all back to razor edged glory in about a day, and for only $10 which I thought was cool. I cook for many hours a day and am constantly using my kitchen knives. What a great service! I just had more than a dozen knives sharpened (in two batches) for me and they all came back in great shape. And, it only took Taylor one day for each batch. I cook quite a bit and was a chef many years ago so I am very particular about my knives. The knives were of all shapes and sizes. Serrated, Santoku, steak knives, kitchen shears, you name it and they all came back great. Pricing was very reasonable as well.
